Buffy and Willow) and can therefor not really identify with a character like Faith. If you'd like some pointers, please read further.

STARTING OUT: Faith hurts. For the novice writer, it's all you need to start you on the right track. Faith is in constant emotional pain. This is a girl who has never been shown any sort of real love and decided a while back that she wasn't going to let it get to her.
Faith is a wanton child, and always will be. She's scared to death of herself and what she's become.
FRIENDS: Faith doesn't know how to have real friends. She's been used and played so many times that she doesn't trust any sort of kindness. With Faith, if it looks too good to be true, it probably is.
Faith also has the need to impress, so at first glance she comes off as wild and sexy, but later begins to look pathetic in her quest to be truly liked, loved or cared for.
DEMEANOR: Faith's demeanor is grim. She seems bitter and broken hearted. She speaks with signs of wear and tear, though her face and stance show only her hard outer shell. If you ever see Faith cry, you're either dreaming, or Angel.
IMAGE:As mentioned before, Faith has a need to impress, so everything she does falls into one of two categories.
Will it:
1. Impress? Will this make people say "wow, I wish I was like Faith?"
2. Relieve? Will this make me feel better? Will smoking this, drinking that or screwing him take the pain away for a few hours/minutes/moments? Answer ‘Yes' to either or both and you've just booked Faith's day.
PAST: Not much is known pre-Sunnydale. No last name, no watcher, no one. All we know is her mother (If you can call her that) is dead, kinkistos killed her watcher, and she's had a slew of bad relationships that have pretty much ruined her for any good ones.
And that's all she wrote.
