Buffy hat Ärger mit ihrer Mutter. Sie vergißt eine Besorgung, weil sie gegen einen Vampir kämpfen muß. Joyce ist über das mangelnde Verantwortungsgefühl ihrer Tochter erbost. In der Schule wird das Thema Sex und Verantwortung behandelt. Die Schüler bekommen rohe Eier, die sie "betreuen" sollen. Doch aus Buffys Ei schlüpft ein äußerst gefährliches Krabbeltier, das sie gerade noch rechtzeitig tötet.
