Die Studentenverbindung"Alpha-Delta" feiert eine Halloween-Party, und dazu werden auch Buffy und ihre Freunde eingeladen. Wenig später werden die Gruseldekorationen lebendig, und jeder Partygast gerät in eine Situation, vor der er sich im Alltag am meisten fürchtet. Dahinter steckt Gachnar, der Dämon der Angst. Als ihm Buffy versehentlich ermöglicht, Gestalt anzunehmen, entpuppt sich Gachnar als ausgesprochener Winzling - und Buffy zertritt ihn wie ein lästiges Insekt.
