I intend upon making this a story, however; I guess the prologue could stand on its own as a one-shot. Either way, it's all good.

Summary: Angel really can't come to grips with Doyle's death, and sees Cordelia's inheritance of his powers as a rather hopeless situation. In desperation, he contacts the Oracles just days after Doyle's death to try and get him another chance. They grant it, but even though having Doyle back is more than the vampire can hope for, his mere presence brings on a new set of circumstances that have to be dealt with. Also, Angel begins to feel guilty that he's stripped his friend of the dubious honor of dying as a Hero, which adds a new dimension to Angel Investigations' newest battle.
