"You have got to be kidding me!" Xander exclaimed.
He and Buffy were sitting on the floor in the Summers’ living room. They had decided to have a demon fighting-free night. No one else in the scooby gang could join in that Friday night, but that didn’t stop them from having a good time. Buffy smiled, if the apocalypse came, it would have to reschedule at a later date.
"No I swear! All it wanted was a girlfriend!"
"Well isn’t our little Buffster the guy magnet."
"It was all gross and hairy. It reminded me of a purple deranged unicorn! It wanted to date me! Major Wiggorama!" Buffy shuddered, thinking of the image of this particular demon trying to flirt with her.
"Buffy, you always manage to pick up the strangest guys." Xander said offhandedly as he finished off the bowl of popcorn that was placed between them.
"Just wait till some ugly demon tries to pull a pick up line on you!" Xander scoffed. "Been there, done that." The slayer rolled her eyes.
"Well, at least now I have a real and quite normal boyfriend."
"I really don’t think he qualifies as normal. He is a demon! You can’t forget that!"
"Oh Xander, will you just forget it! We’re in love. We’ll face whatever obstacles that stand in our way, together."
Xander shook his head, he obviously didn’t approve of Buffy’s relationship. "Yeah, until one day he turns on you. We’ve seen it happen before."
"That was different." Buffy tried explaining, but Xander dismissed it. "Yeah, uh huh. Whatever." The blonde was determined, "It’s not like that. He’s caring, loving, and just amazing." "Amazingly sickening." Xander muttered under his breath. Luckily, Buffy was too caught up in her own thoughts to notice.
"I’m just glad I got Drusilla away from him! If she had stuck around, I don’t know what we would have done."
For once, Xander agreed. "I’ll second that opinion. One less loony to worry about, is one less loony to worry about." The slayerette smiled goofily, as if that was the cue for Buffy to laugh at his semi-joke. She obliged.
"Yeah, I’m just finally glad we all have someone." Xander nodded. "I know. I’m so glad Cordy and I are back together, and Willow and Oz have worked it out. Even Giles found himself a babe!"
"And I have my lovable chaos demon." Buffy smiled wistfully to herself, "Damn! Antlers are just so sexy!"
