Buffy The Vampire Slayer > BTVS - Season Seven
No Need To Worry by Spikes Queen
[Reviews - 0]

Buffy and Spike were patrolling and having a comfortable conversation.
"I think you're wrong," Buffy said, smiling.
"Wouldn't be the first time," Spike said.
"No, but it would be one of the few," Buffy said.
"Thanks. What makes you think I'm wrong?" Spike asked.
"Because for once I want you to be wrong," Buffy whined.
"'S not my fault," Spike said, smirking.
Buffy glared at him with a smile. "Is that an insult?"
"Maybe," Spike teased.
Buffy lunged at him and they went down laughing. "You know, we're supposed to be patrolling not rolling around with each other," Buffy said, sitting up on his hips.
"Yeah, which leads to the question, what are you doing?" A voice from behind them said.
Buffy and Spike snapped their heads up. "Hi, Angel," Buffy said, not getting up.
"What are you doing?" Angel asked again.
Buffy got off Spike and offered him a hand. Spike grasped it firmly and got to his feet. "We were just horsen' around," Buffy said.
Angel scowled. "What are you doing here, Spike?" He growled.
"He works with me," Buffy said.
"We don't need him," Angel said, causing Spike to bow his head.
Buffy frowned and approached Angel. She landed a hard punch to his nose. "You're wrong." She backed away from him and went to Spike's side. "I do need him." She looked at Spike. "Come on."
Angel watched as Buffy and Spike continued to patrol and headed back to the house.

"What was that about?" Spike growled.
"He can't just walk into my life and make me drop everything for him. He left me. My life isn't gunna pick up where he left it. I'm not a lost teenager. I learned to deal with pain and heart ache," Buffy said.
"I noticed," Spike said.
Buffy smiled a little. "I wish something would happen already."
"I don't think you're gunna get your wish, Pet. Lets go home," Spike said, heading toward the gate.
Buffy sighed and followed him out of the cemetery.

At the house, everyone was in turmoil. Buffy and Spike entered to a roar of chatter.
"Hey!" Buffy yelled to get everyone's attention.
Everyone stopped to look at her. "Buffy?"
"What's..." Then she noticed two people she didn't wanna see.
Angel and Riley were in fighting stances in the middle of her living room, glaring at each other.
Riley glared at Spike and then frowned as Buffy moved in front of the blonde vampire protectively.
Faith came downstairs and paused at the scene in the living room. She looked at Buffy and moved in front of the older slayer. "Girls, why don't you all go upstairs?" She suggested. "Angel, move away from Riley," she said, crossing her arms.
"Thanks, Faith,'' Buffy said, relaxing her stance a little. She took a deep breath and walked up to Riley. "I want to talk to you on the back porch now."
Riley went to the back porch and Buffy looked at Angel. "Don't touch Spike," she said, her voice, threatening.
Riley looked up as Buffy came outside.
"What are you doing here?" Buffy asked, crossing her arms.
"I came to help," Riley said.
"If you wanna help there are a few rules. One, you cannot lay a hand on Spike. Got it?" She asked. He nodded so she continued. "Two, if you do something he doesn't like, he can hurt you,'' she said. ''Now, I need to fix Angel so I'm gunna get Giles to bring you up to speed,'' she said, going inside.
''Where's Spike?'' She asked, as she came into the living room.
''Front porch with Faith,'' Giles said.
"Oh,'' Buffy said, a little disappointed. "Giles can you get Riley up to speed?"
"Of course," Giles said, taking Riley to the dining room.
Buffy went over to Angel. "I'm sorry about hitting you," she said.
"I probably deserved it," Angel said. "You wanna fill me in?"
"You might wanna sit down," Buffy said, sitting on the couch.
Angel sat next to her. "Oh, boy."
"Angel, Spike's different. He doesn't have the chip anymore and he has a soul," she said.
Angel's eyes widened and he couldn't say anything.
"He went to Africa and won his soul. He lives here and he's one of us. Just try not to cause a problem. As for Riley, if you guys do fight, take it outside and don't kill each other," she said, smiling.
"Those girls, potential slayers?" He asked, changing the subject.
"Yeah. They need training still," she said, sighing.
"I'll do whatever I can," Angel said.
"Thanks," Buffy said as Spike and Faith came in laughing.
"Touche, Faith," Spike said, laughing.
"B, I don't know what you did to him, but he's totally lost his mind," Faith said, smiling.
Buffy stood and approached them. ''I'm well aware of that but I can assure you it's not my fault," Buffy said.
"Maybe it's the blood," Faith said, before going over to Angel.
"You okay?" Spike asked.
"Do I look okay?" Buffy asked.
They went out on to the porch and Spike looked at her closely. "What's wrong?" Spike asked.
"One, I have Riley less then 20 feet away. I don't think I need to remind you about what happened last time he dropped by. Two, I have Angel in the living room, who is just as bad as Riley. Three.." Tears welled in her eyes. "I've got Faith head over heels for you and I have to watch the tow of you..." Spike cut her off with a finger to her lips.
"Slow down. Take a deep breath," he said, removing his finger.
Buffy took a few deep breaths and tired to make her tears go away.
"Buffy, are you jealous of Faith? Who is just some girl?" Spike asked.
Buffy's tears flowed down her cheeks. "Yes," she admitted softly.
Spike smiled and put his hands on either side of her face. "Buffy you have no reason to be jealous," he said, softly.
"It's her job to go after the guys in my life. There's only 3 people in the house she hasn't gotten her claws into and I don't think Giles and Andrew are her type. But anyway, every girl who has eyes, thinks you're the most gorgeous guy on the planet," Buffy said, bringing her hands up to his wrists.
"Also, any girl with eyes, should realize that I'm off limits. Including Faith," he said, running his thumbs under her eyes.
Buffy slid her arms around him and buried her face in the side of his neck.
Spike wrapped his arms around her and hugged her tightly. "It's okay, Luv," he whispered.
Buffy's body began to shake. "Oh God, no Spike. I don't know how much more of his I can take," she whimpered.
"Right now, I think you better get some sleep," he said, pulling away a little.
"No, I can't. I don't wanna be alone," she said, clutching his arms.
Spike looked into her eyes. "Come on, I'll go with you," he said.
Buffy looked up at him with swollen eyes. "You don't mind?" She asked.
Spike smiled. "Not at all. You want me to carry you or are you gunna make it?" He asked.
"Carry me, please," Buffy said, shyly.
Spike scooped her up and took her inside. Angel, Riley, and Giles looked up when the door opened. All three of them stepped forward.
"Back off. She's just tired," Spike said, possessively.
Angel watched as Buffy snuggled deeper into Spike, but she had already fallen asleep.
Upstairs, when his arms slid out from under her, she whimpered. "Spike."
Spike sat next to her. "Pet?"
Buffy's eyes fluttered open. "Stay," she said, softly. "I need you to hold me."
"Buffy..." Spike sighed.
"Please?" She whispered.
"You sure?" Spike asked.
Buffy nodded and Spike removed his coat and boots. He removed Buffy's coat and shoes as well before sliding in behind her. He nuzzled his face against her neck and slid his arm over her waist. Soon, the two of them were sound asleep.
