In the darkness of
your savage existance
you bade me be the
light and beauty
to guide you.
Your mangled heart healed
beneath the medicine of
my kisses
and we were one.
For a time I clung
to you with a
morbid fascination
but the savagry within
your body, the temple of
my hope, sank
it's talons
deep into the wet,
red flesh of my love.
Your anger bled me
of the life in my soul,
abandoning me in a
battered, wheezing heap
of broken promises,
chocking on my dying breath.
A breath I saved
for a sigh
as I searched the
depths of your
burning eyes
and wept for you.
