Buffy walked into the library. She was perky. "Good morning everyone!" She said happily. Giles didn't look up from his book. He simply said. "Hello Buffy." And continued to read. Willow didn't notice Buffy. She was sitting next to Oz, listening to him explain about the band and how he got into it. Xander was asleep on the couch. Buffy frowned. She walked up to Giles. "Anything going to destroy Sunnydale yet?" She asked.
Giles looked up. "Um, no, nothing yet." He said. "But you will have to patrol tonight. Angel and Spike are still on the loose you know." He said matter-o-factly.
Buffy sighed. It had been 1 year since Angel had killed Ms. Calender. They were Seniors now! "I know Giles." Buffy said. She still hadn't gotten over his change.
"Buffy?" A groggly Xander said. He looked up and saw Buffy. He smiled. He looked at Willow and Oz. "What are you doing Oz?" He asked, startled to see the graduate here.
Oz looked up. "I came to see Willow. I have nothing better to do so Giles is letting me come here everyday and help. It's a good way to see the love of my life." Oz said, looking back at Willow.
Willow smiled, turned to Buffy. "He's so romantic!" She said, then turned to face him. They kissed.
Xander couldn't take it, he got up and pulled them apart. "Not in school." He simply said.
"Ok, who's the one who put a book in my locker!" Cordelia started as soon as she walked into the room.
Xander looked at her. "I did. Don't you remember? You told me yesterday that I could keep my books in your locker so you could use them." He said.
Cordelia looked at him and smiled. "It's ok then." She said, ran to him and kissed him. "How are you doing Xan?" She asked, sweetly.
"Not too bad Cordy, and you?" He asked, taking her in for a hug.
"I'm doing great....now." She said, and they kissed again.
"Boy, things do change." Buffy said. "Only a year ago you guys wouldn't be seen together." She reminded them.
Cordelia spoke up. "Well, we were imature." She said.
"Actually," Xander started. "It was because you didn't want to be seen with a 'geek'." He said.
Cordelia blushed. "That's not true, well, it was at the time, but not anymore!" She said. She leaned into him and said into his ear. "Meet ya in the closet." And she walked out of the library.
Xander followed, smiling all the way.
Buffy sighed. Her senior year and she STILL doesn't have a boyfriend. Even GILES had found a love and remarried. "So, how was the party last night?" Buffy asked Giles.
Giles smiled. "It was fun actually. Your mother and I didn't stop dancing." That was the change. Giles had married Joyce Summers. Buffy was related to her Watcher. It was weird.
"Cool." Buffy said. "Did you tell Mom where I went?" She asked.
"Yes.." Giles said, slowly. "She really doesn't like it when you go patroling by yourself." Giles added. Joyce had also found out about Buffy being the Slayer.
"It's ok, just tell her that I wasn't alone, I was with Willow." Buffy said.
"Well..." Giles began, then Willow piped in.
"That won't work, I called your house and asked for you. You weren't there so she asked me why I was excited and I told her I had a date with Oz." She then drifted into a love coma. She did nothing but look at Oz. Oz returned the affection.
"Hey I have an idea." Oz said to Willow. "Why don't we go get some ice cream now? Schools over!" Oz asked.
Willow looked to Giles and he nodded his head, she smiled and picked Oz's hand up and they walked out of the library.
"Anything you need me to do while the suns up?" Buffy asked Giles.
Giles shook his head. "Ok, I guess I'm Bronzing." She said and walked out of the library towards the Bronze.
In the abandoned ware house, Angel sat, bored out of his mind. "Ok everyone, it's time to go have some fun!" Spike said. Dru got up and started to bounce.
"Let's have fun, lets have fun!" She screamed.
"What kind of fun?" Angel asked, interested. Anything could be better than this.
"We're going to the Bronze tonight. A bus full of tourists from Europe is there. An old friend of ours is there waiting. She didn't want me to tell you who, Angelus, but you will see soon enough." Spike said. He picked Dru up and headed out. Angel decided to go and followed after.
Buffy sat in her chair, sad. *This was the first place Angel and I danced.* She thought. She felt a tear, wipped it away, and started to think of other things, when a tall man came up to her and asked to dance. He was cute. He looked sorta like Angel, but taller. He, in Buffy's eyes, was the Angel she remembered. "Sure." She said.
The man took her hands and led her to the floor. They danced. "What's your name?" He asked after the song was over. He and Buffy headed back to the seat that she was originally sitting at.
Buffy didn't know him, so she changed her name. "Sarah Williams." She said. "What's yours?"
He laughed. "Nice name, I'm Jason Berkly. I just came in on the bus." He informed. "I'm supposed to be meeting a bunch of friends here." He said.
Buffy smiled. "That's nice. What's their names, maybe I know them."
Jason stopped smiling. "You don't know them." He said.
Buffy stopped smiling also. "Oh." She said.
Jason smiled again, "I'll let you meet them when they come in." He said.
Angel, Spike and Dru were right outside the Bronze. "Alright, he's here." Spike said.
Angel looked at him. "He?"
Spike smiled. "Yeah, but he's got someone he wants you to meet."
Angel relaxed. "Ok." And Spike, Angel and Dru walked into the Bronze. Angel looked over and there was Jason, hitting on...."Buffy?" Angel asked startled. He took cover. Spike and Dru did the same.
"What the heck is he doing with the slayer?" Spike said.
A waitress walked by, saw them and stopped. "Can I help you?" She asked Angel.
Spike answered. "Yes, you see that man over there, with the blond?" He asked, pointing to Jason. The waitress nodded. "Well, could you tell him his friends are waiting outside, and NOT to bring the girl he's talking to?" Spike asked, then walked out, followed by Dru.
Angel didn't leave. He looked at Buffy. She was beautiful tonight. He smiled, "Good night for a killing." He whispered and walked out to Spike.
So how long have you lived here, Sarah?" Jason asked.
Buffy thought. "About 3 years." She said.
A waitress walked up. She stared at Jason. "Yes?" Jason asked.
She cleared her throat. "Your 'friends' are waiting for you outside, they told me to tell you to come out with the 'friend' but not the blonde." She said, and walked away.
Jason was startled. "They'll get over it, you can come." He said, took her hand, called to his friend. "Star, they're here!" He said.
Buffy looked at the girl. She was beautiful. She had long flowing black hair, bright green eyes, and a figure to DIE for. She started to walk towards them, her black dress flowing past her.
"I'm comming." She said. She was irish.
Jason smiled at her. "Hide behind me, I have a surprise for you."
Buffy smiled. Surprises were fun.
Jason, Star, and Buffy left. As they walked outside, Buffy saw Spike, Angel and Dru. She jumped in front of Jason and Star in fighting stance. "Go hide!" She ordered Jason.
Jason looked at his friends, then back at Buffy. "Why? These are my friends." He said, walked up and hugged Spike.
Buffy was startled. "Your....friends?" She said.
Jason faced her with a smile. "Yeah, this is Angelus," He said, pointing to Angel. "this is Spike and Dru." He said, pointing to them. "Guys, I want you to meet Sarah Williams." Jason said, pointing to Buffy.
Angel laughed so hard, he felt like he was crying. "She told you her name was SARAH WILLIAMS!" He screamed, almost falling over.
Jason was concerned. "Yeah, why?" He asked.
Spike changed into his "Game" face. "She's not who she says, mate." He said. "She's Buffy, the Slayer we told you about." Spike said.
Jason looked at her. "I...I..." Jason said.
Star peeked out. "The slayer?" She asked.
Angel looked at her. "Star?" He said, love in his eyes.
Star looked at him. "Hello Angelus." She walked to him, and embraced him in a kiss.
Jason walked up to Buffy in his "game" face. He got inches away. "Run." He told her. He also had love in his eyes.
Buffy listened and ran. Spike looked at him. "Why the bloody hell did you do that for?" He asked.
Jason simply said. "Love."
Buffy ran home, into her home, and into her room. She ran to her bed and started to cry. Why did she always let them get close? She asked herself. She had started to like Jason. He was sweet, much like Angel was. She sobbed, then stopped when she heard a tap on her window.
She got up and looked outside. Jason was in the lawn throwing pebbles at her window, saying her name.
Buffy opened her window. "What do you want?" She asked.
"Can I come in?" He asked.
Buffy laughed. "Your joking right? Like I'm going to invite a vampire into my house, give me a break."
Jason sighed. "Please Sarah, or Buffy, or whoever you are. I need to talk to you. I promise I won't do anything but talk." He begged.
Buffy gave in. "Alright, your invited to come in." Buffy said, she backed away from the window. He flew through it.
Buffy put her cross on and had a stake ready, just in case.
"Look, Buffy." Jason started. "I have to tell you that I didn't know about you. I knew that they had tried to kill the slayer. I came here because..." He couldn't finish.
"You came to help kill me right?" Buffy accused.
Jason protested. "No, no, that's not why." He took a breath. "I came because Angel is my brother." He blurted out.
Buffy couldn't believe it. She fell in love with....Angel's brother? "What's your point?" She asked.
Jason looked at her. "He was cursed, and I see it's done. I was cursed along with him because we are twins. I have a concience just like he did." He said. "I had hoped you would understand." He said, got up, and walked towards the window.
"I understand." Buffy whispered.
Jason stopped, turned to her, tears in his eyes, he walked to her and kissed her.
Buffy cried, deja vu, she told herself. Jason stopped. "Why are you crying?" He asked.
Buffy smiled. "It happened again." She told him. She, had once again, fallen inlove with.....a vampire.
