She looked at them.
"I feel..." Willow started.
"I don't care what you feel!" Buffy burst out, "I care what I feel. I feel that my 'friends' don't have any trust in me. They don't believe that I can make a serious judgement... and what right do you have to butt into my life? I can choose whom I want to date... or talk to... or kiss! It' none of you damn business!"
"It's our business when he starts coming after us and trying to kill us!" yelled Xander.
"And you asked why I didn't tell you? I knew you would all act like this. You didn't understand! He didn't do it to us! The demon did! Angel would never hurt us! And because you don't understand that, you don't understand me! I don't need friends like that!" After saying that she turned to leave.
"Buffy!" Giles shouted before she walked out the door. She stopped and turned. "Angel tortured me for hours and for pleasure. If you don't understand what I feel, you have no respect for me or my career." Giles stated this baldly for her to hear.
Buffy looked into his eyes, "I'm sorry you feel that way." She turned and left.
"Buffy! Wait!" called Willow.
But she didn't stop. She just kept walking out of their lives.

"You have to talk to them. I don't want you to lose your friends because of me," said Angel.
"They aren't people that I want to talk to anymore. They don't trust my judgements or that I would never endanger their lives... at least not purposely." Buffy was sitting on the couch with Angel.
"Just give them time... they believe in you... they just don't trust me."
"If they trust me, than they should trust you, because I do," argues Buffy, "If they were really my friends, they wouldn't have cared if they thought you were still bad. They would have trusted that I know the difference between you and Angelus."
Angel was touched by her passion... by her belief, but he knew she was being stubborn. < I just hope this doesn't last for long. >

Willow was walking through the halls with Oz. She was worried about how Buffy was doing. They hadn't talked since the other day when she stormed out.
"Oz, she's not even returning my calls. I see her in the hall and she just walks past like I'm not even there. She hasn't spoken to anyone... not even her mom. Giles said that Mrs. Summers is worried about her." Willow felt so bad.
"Don't worry, baby. It'll all work out. She's the slayer. She'll have to talk to her watcher sometime." Oz said this to reassure his girlfriend, but he wasn't sure he believed it.
"I don't think it's going to happen. I know Buffy. When she gets mad like this, she'll never forgive or forget." Willow was being the pessimist this time. Losing her best friend was hard for her to bare.
"It'll all work out," Oz continued. He hated it when Willow was afraid because that made him afraid as well.
"The only thing that will make Buffy talk to us again is if something bad happens."
"They you have nothing to worry about."

"What's wrong with you?" Cordy asked.
"I can't believe she said that to us. I mean we're her best friends and she jumps on us because we told her she was wrong about trusting dead boy," Xander replied. Since that day, he had been bothered about the outcome. He knew that Buffy was going to have some kind of reaction to what they said, but this was not what he expected.
"I knew she was going to get mad and maybe scream at the top of her lungs... or that she would defend herself and continue until we agreed with her, but I never expected her to do this. I mean the yelling, yeah sure... not very unexpected from Buffy... but the total disconnecting from the gang? I never thought that that would happen."
"Xander, you knew she wasn't going to be happy about it... hell even I knew. We were all just totally insecure about the idea of Angel being back. I think we all overreacted... even though I still fear for my life... I can still say that we all regret what we said." Cordy, even though she appeared to be unfeeling and completely tactless, was very insightful about the situation. She didn't admit to caring about Buffy, but she did and deep down inside, she thought she understood her.
"I don't think Buffy regretted anything she said. I saw her eyes. The only thing she regrets is that it came from us," Xander stated grimly, "She's never going to speak to any of us again... unless something bad happens."
"I hope you're wrong," whispered Cordelia.
"So do I," Xander agreed. He hoped he was wrong... very wrong.

Giles was writing in his journal for the fourth time in three days. He wanted to get all his emotions out and the only way he could find to do it was to write it all down.

While everyone was thinking over the mistakes that were made and what had happened, Gwendolyn Post was busy trying to find the glove.
Giles had been too preoccupied by the situation with Buffy, that Gwen was able to trick the information about the glove out of him.
No Mrs. Post was headed to Crawford St. to get the glove from the hands of their friend.
She didn't have to worry about either slayers. Gwen had tricked Faith into believing that Giles' way of training and his beliefs were wrong. Faith held complete trust for her new watcher.
Giles and the rest of the group were too distracted with the status of their relationship with Buffy to care what Gwen was doing.
And Buffy was occupied with avoiding her friends.
Gwen chuckled at the thought.

Angel had created the living flame and was ready to destroy the glove. Buffy was sitting behind him watching.
Angel had picked up the glove and was about to throw the glove into the flame when Mrs. Post walked in.
"What the hell are you doing here?" Buffy jumped into a standing position.
"I've come to get the glove," stated Gwen.
"And why should I give it to you?"
"Because I'm a watcher."
"Do I care? Get out of here before I decide to hurt you."
"I don't think so." Gwen grabbed a shovel beside the wall and whacked Angel in the back. He dropped the glove.
Buffy scrambled for it and then she remembered that once you put it on, you couldn't get it off.
That hesitation gave Gwen enough time to get to the glove. She put it on and chanted.
"Buffy run!" called Angel.
And so they did. Gwen wasn't going to let them go, so she shot lightning at them. They were faster.
"What the hell?" screamed Buffy. "We've got to get the glove off her, any ideas?"
"Do you have a blade on you?" asked Angel.
The slayer looked around and found a large piece of glass that had fallen from the large skylight that had shatter.
Buffy stood, "Hey Gwen, over here!"
"You can't stop me! The glove is power! With it I am invincible!"
"I know," and Buffy whipped the glass at the watcher and sliced off her gloved arm.
Without the glove to absorb the power any longer, the force vapourized Gwendolyn Post.
Angel walked over to the glove, pick it up and put it into the living flame, destroying it.

Buffy stopped Willow in the hall the next day.
"Buffy..." Willow started.
Buffy interrupted her, "Tell Giles the glove is gone and Gwen Post with it. Give him this too," it was a large battle-axe; "It belonged to Lagos."
With that, Buffy continued to walk, not saying another word to Willow.
"Buffy, wait!" called Willow.
But she kept walking.
