Author's Notes: This poem is from Angel's POV (loosely..my poems are kinda odd. they can be interpreted in various ways. Angel's POV would be most likely) It takes place anytime between "Lover's Walk" and "Amends". This was written April 26 1999. feedback is appreciated. =)

I cry for you, my lost love.
I cry for you, my soul.
I cry for the life we could have had, the happiness Fate stole.
To be so very near to you, yet so impossibly far,
I reach out for you, and am stopped by an invisible wall.
Walking this earth without you, ‘tis an insufferable pain.
When your searching eyes meet my tortured gaze,
I see the love shining through, so quickly locked away.
To keep up this facade of happiness, playing this painful charade.
Knowing that I can never again show my true feelings for you,
Alone I feel my pain.
I cry for you, my lost love.
I cry for you, my soul.
I cry for the life we could have had, the happiness Fate stole.
