I don't own anything but this poem. Joss and the WB own everything else. It's written from Cordelia's perspective as she views the Scooby Gang in the beginning, to up until now. It also touches upon her relationship with Xander.

Moments ago,
I would have said,
that hanging out with you guys,
would be considered dead.
Buffy and her weapons,
Willow and her 'Obsession for dorks' air,
you guys merely had traumas,
and back then I didn't really care.
Then that girl,
what was her name,
she was invisible,
and I was to blame.
So I went to Buffy and her geeky crew,
Xander had the lamest comebacks,
that only he knew.
I was insulted,
but gave it some time,
and when Buffy killed the master,
murder didn't seem like such a crime.
I tagged along,
and one bright calm day,
I took Xander over to Buffy's house,
to see if she was okay.
She wasn't answering us,
so Xander and I "broke in" and called some more,
I heard a ring,
and went to answer the door.
He was selling cosmetics,
I was completely moved,
I told him I was both the winter and the summer,
he told me I had to choose.
Xander came down,
from the second floor,
he said: "Mary Kay, I think it's time to....",
he didn't finish and we ran to the basement door.
It was the bug man,
ku ku kachoo,
who brought the two of us together,
who ever knew?
From that day on,
Xander and I were a pair,
my old friends were sheep,
and I left them behind without a care.
So when I think about it now,
Buffy's really okay,
Xander is way fine,
he just makes my day.
Things would have been different,
if I'd stayed a snob,
I wouldn't have had the best boyfriend,
and the title slayerette as my job.
