There she stood, helping to light my way back,
Silently cutting through the oppressive black.
So beautiful and inviting in the glow she gives,
Rekindling my desire to live.
I fight through the waves that hold me down,
Wanting nothing more than to erase her frown.
I used to live to see her smile,
Now I fight to see it once in a while.
I shake off the bonds that hold me,
Now so close to being free.
Looking into her eyes, I know I've won.
At last, I'm home where I belong.
She is my light in the darkness,
Being around her, I feel so blessed.
In the blackest night, she is the single flame,
So it is, walking to her, I whisper the sweetest name...
