Full of Trust by Spikes Queen
[Reviews - 1]

Buffy lay gasping for breath as the Turok- Han climbed the structure. She tried tot get up, but the Turok- Han kicked her off the structure.

"She needs help!" Dawn screamed.

"Wait!" Willow shouted, concerned herself.

Buffy made it to her feet only to be thrown across the site.

Spike stumbled into the construction sit on hearing Dawn scream. He looked at Dawn, Willow, Xander, and a bunch of girls on a structure. Then he saw Buffy fighting the Turok- Han, and losing badly.

His pain forgotten, the ran to Buffy's aid. He threw the Turok- Han away from her. Spike crouched down and touched her cheek. "Buffy?"

"Spike?" Spike whimpered, her pain becoming noticeable. The Turok- Han, angry, approached the blonde couple. "Look out!" She yelled, as she shot to her feet.

Buffy kicked hte Turok- Hank with some new strength. With Spike at her side, a sense of confidence fell over her.

With Spike fighting at her side they took on the Turok- Han together. Spike wailed on he vamp for everything that it did to him. Also, since had Buffy with him, he felt better.

Spike kicked it solidly in the chest and Buffy took it form there.

The potentials watched as Buffy severed it's head, turning it to dust.

Buffy stood slightly dazed and looked and them. "See? Dust. Just like the rest of them. I don't know what's coming, but I know it'll be just like this. Hard and Painful. But we'll get through it. Here endeth the lesson," she said, as they began to climb down the structure.

Spike was bent over panting with unnecessary breathes when Buffy ran toward him. She wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him close to her.

Despite the pain in his ribs, Spike wrapped his arms around her waist and lifted her off her feet. He had tears in his eyes which fell on her shoulder.

Dawn, Xander, and Willow watched with confused expressions as the couple had their reunion.

Buffy pulled away a little so she could look into his eyes. She ran the back of hand across his face and smiled warmly.

Spike was looked at her with so much love and awe and he couldn't bring himself to let go of her.

Buffy smiled. "Come on, Spike. Lets go home," she said, slipping her arm around his waist.

About an hour later, Spike was asleep in Buffy's bed. Buffy was cleaning his wounds with tears in her eyes. He was finally home, and now she could take care of him.

After some time, Buffy fell asleep by her vampire. She kept her arms around him, so she would notice if anyone tried to hurt him.

In the morning, Spike awoke first. He was slightly confused when he realized he wasn't in the cave. Soon the confusion was replaced with the feeling of warmth.

Buffy was still laying next to him, her breath warm on his shoulder. Her arms still around him as if he would be snatched away form her any second.

Buffy snuggled deeper into him. "Spike," she mumbled.

"Buffy," he whispered.

Buffy's eyes fluttered open. "Hey. How you feeling?" She asked, sitting up.

"Better. Now that I've had some sleep," Spike said, wincing at the pain in his ribs.

"I need to get you some blood," she said, getting up. "Don't worry. I'll be right back."

A few minutes later, Buffy came up with a mug full of warm blood.

She sat next to him and watched as he swallowed it hungrily. Buffy pulled a first aid kit out from her bed. "I'm gunna have to change your bandages. Can you sit up?" She asked.

"Probably," he answered, and with Buffy's help he was sitting on her bed.

She began cleaning his wounds and taping his ribs. Gently, she laid him back down. "You should get some more sleep, Spike," Buffy whispered, pushing wild curls away from his forehead.

Spike looked at her with a smile. "You look like you could use some sleep too," he said, noticing her tired expression.

Buffy smiled warmly. "Don't worry. I will," she said.

Spike smiled back at her. "Good night, Pet," he said, closing his eyes.

"Goodnight Spike," she whispered.

In the morning, Spike slipped from Buffy's grasp. Immediately, she curled into a ball, as if cod. Spike smiled and grabbed clean clothes, as he headed for a shower.

About an hour later, Spike was going downstairs for breakfast. He felt better now that all the blood, dirt, and anything else was washed off.

He finished his meal just as Dawn crept into the kitchen. Spike looked up at her with guilt fill eyes.

Dawn's eyes filled with tears as she went toward him. She wrapped her arms around his waist and buried her face in his chest.

Spike wrapped his arms around her and rocked her back and forth. "Shh. It's okay, Dawn," he murmured.

Buffy had just come downstairs, looking for Spike. She paused before entering the kitchen.

"No, Spike it's not," Dawn whimpered, squeezing him tighter. "I missed you so much. When Buffy told us that the First got you, I got so scared. Buffy and I felt so lost with out you."

Spike rubbed her back as she continued to cry. He didn't even notice Buffy come into the kitchen, tears running down her face as well.

She wrapped her arms around Spike with Dawn still in the middle.

Spike looked at Buffy and his broke at her face. "Buffy," he said.

Buffy sniffled and rested her hands on his shoulders. She closed her eyes as more tears flooded down her cheeks.

Spike could feel Dawn still crying and Buffy was crying as well. He pulled his girls closer to him.

"I don't know where..." Willow paused in the door way of the kitchen. "Never mind."

"What?" A male voice asked, as he came to stand next to Willow. He saw the scene before him and began growling. "Spike."

Spike's head snapped up at his sire's voice. He began growling as well.

Buffy opened her eyes and noticed Spike glaring at something over his shoulder. She turned around and saw Angel and Willow in the
doorway. "Angel," she said, reluctantly pulling out of Spike's arms.

"Buffy, what are you doing?" Angel growled, giving Spike the death stare.

Willow rested her hand on Angel's shoulder. "Don't do something you're gunna regret."

"Angel, lets go in to the living room and discuss this," Buffy said.

Spike gently unlatched Dawn from him. "Why don't you and Red go upstairs while Buffy and I handle things down here?" He said, softly.

Dawn looked at Willow and they went toward the stairs.

Spike went after them and made sure he was out of earshot of Angel. "Ladies, go upstairs and lock yourselves in a room," he said.

Dawn looked into Spike's eyes and saw the concern there. "Okay," she said, pulling Willow
upstairs.

Spike went back over to Buffy and Angel.

"You okay?" Buffy asked, looking up at Spike.

"I will be," Spike said, nailing a hard punch to Angel's jaw.

"Spike!" Buffy screamed. She put a hand on Spike's arms and pulled him toward her. "Stop."

"So, Spikey. You finally took what's mine," Angel said.

"She's not yours, Angelus," Spike said, vamping without realizing it.

Buffy tightened her grip on Spike wrapped an arm his waist. "Spike, look at me," She said, softly.

Spike yellow eyes met her green ones.

Her hand went up to his fangs. "Relax."Spike's face returned to normal. "Sorry."

"Isn't that cute," Angelus said, sarcastically.

Buffy turned to him. "Get out," she said, coldly.

"No. You see, Buffy when someone touches something that's mine, I get real angry," he said, glaring at Spike.

"I'm not yours. I have never been yours," Buffy said, tightening her hold on Spike.

"Hm. We'll see about that," he said, going toward the stairs.

Spike went after him and Angelus threw a ball of energy at him.

Spike went crashing into Buffy, sending them to the floor. Quickly, they got to their feet and followed Angelus upstairs.

Spike was vamped out again as he flew up the stairs.

Angelus went other room that Dawn and locked herself in. "Hi Dawnie," he said, breaking the lock, and then closing the door behind him.

"Dawn!" Spike screamed, pounding on the door. Even with vampire strength his couldn't break the door down.

"Spike!" Dawn screamed. "Please, Stop! Spike, please help me!" She yelled as tears streamed down her face.

"Don't you touch her, you bastard!" Spike screamed.

Buffy was froze in shock. "Oh God!" She whimpered.

Spike glanced at her. "Buffy," he said, his heart breaking into a million pieces.

"Ow," Dawn cried. "Spike!" She screamed.

"Dawn!" Spike yelled, tears in his eyes. "Angelus, I swear to god, I'm gunna kill you," Spike growled.

He paused his pounding and put his ear up to the door. "Damn you!" He yelled, pounding on the door. "Dawn!!" He screamed.

No answer.

"Dawn! Answer me! Dawn!" Spike yelled, pounding on the door. His fingers were bloody and probably broken. "Red!" He yelled.

Willow came out of her bedroom. "Is he in there?" She asked.

"He has Dawn in the bathroom and I can't get the door down!" Spike cried, tears running down her face.

Willow went to the door and put her hands on it as she began to chant.

There was a few crackling noises and a wave of energy come off the door.

Spike threw the door open and saw a bloody Dawn on the floor. Her clothes were in shreds as well as her body. Angelus had managed to disappear.

Spike listened for a heartbeat and almost cried out when he found one. He knelt next to her. ''Dawn?" He whispered, his vampiric face receding.

Willow came in with a blanket. "Oh God. Dawnie," she said, tears in her eyes.

Spike took the blanket from Willow. "Go make sure Buffy's okay," Spike said, wrapping the blanket around Dawn. He scooped her up and carried her to her room.

Gently, he laid her on her bed as Willow came in with a first aid kit. "Spike, you're in no shape to do this," Willow said.

Spike looked at Dawn one more time and went in to hall. He shut the door and put his hands on it. He heard footsteps as Buffy came out of her room.

"Dawn!" She yelled.

Spike stood in front of the door. "She's okay, Buffy," he said, his eyes still wet.

"No, she's not. Is she..?" Buffy couldn't even bring herself to say it.

"She's alive," Spike said.

"Then let me see her!" Buffy said.

Spike looked in her eyes. "Wait until Willow's done fixing her," he said.

"Spike. Please, just let me see her. Please. I just wanna see her with my own eyes," Buffy said, tears running down her face.

"Buffy..." Spike sighed.

Buffy punched Spike in the nose and pushed him out of her way. She opened the door and gasped. "Dawn."

Spike came up behind her and enveloped her in his arms. "Come on, Pet," he said.

Buffy collapsed in his arms as she cried. "Oh, God Spike," she said.

Spike led Buffy to the hall where they both collapsed to the floor. Buffy screamed into his chest."Buffy, shh," Spike said, pulling her closer to him

Buffy's arms went around his waist. "Spike, she's still a baby, and he.." she broke off as new tears came.

"I know. I'll kill him for this," Spike said, pulling away a little. "I promise you."

Buffy sniffled. "God, Spike."

"Buffy!" Came Giles' voice.

He came up the stairs. "What happened?"

Willow came out of Dawn's room with tears in her eyes.

Spike shot to his feet. "How is she?" He asked.

Willow shook her head. "Not good," she said.

Spike went in to Dawn's room and tears fell down his cheeks again. "Nibblet."

Giles went to Buffy. "What happened?"

Buffy face crumpled as she wrapped her arms around him.

Willow joined her and cried in Giles' arms.

Giles knew it was bad. "Spike?" He asked. "What happened?"

"Angelus raped Dawn," Spike said, going over to Dawn's side.

Giles' arms tightened around the girls. "Dear God," he said.

After a while, he gently untangled himself and went towards Dawn's room. Spike was laying next to Dawn, holding her protectively.

Giles closed the door, and went to tend with Willow and Buffy.

After about an hour, Willow finished the reensoulation spell.

"Buffy, you know he'll come straight her," Giles said.

"Spike has first dibs on him," Buffy said, digging through her closet.

Willow looked at Giles with a raised eyebrow. "Spike?"

Buffy stood up with something draped over her arm. "Spike, has no problem beating the shit out of Angel. I have a soft spot for Angel, no matter what he does. I would let Angel explain and apologize. Spike wont," she said, going toward Dawn's room.

Spike and Dawn were sound asleep. She smiled and draped his duster of Dawn. She kissed both their foreheads lightly, but couldn't bring herself to leave. She sat on the floor and rested her head on the mattress, before slipping into sleep.

Spike woke to a movement beside him. He opened his eyes and saw Dawn trembling next to him. He kissed her temple and began purring, hoping it would calm her.

Naturally it did, and Dawn began to sleep peacefully again.

Spike heard the front door open and then Angel's voice arguing with Giles.

Carefully, he slipped form Dawn's bed and left the room.

He stalked down the stairs with dangerous looked in his eyes. He began growling from deep in his chest.

Angel looked at Spike as he came down the stairs. "Spike," before he couldn't finish his sentence, he found himself halfway across the yard.

Spike tackled Angel to the ground and punched him mercilessly. "I should kill you for what you did to Dawn," he growled.

Buffy came out to the porch. "Spike," she said, her voice raw from crying. "Dawn want's to see you," Buffy said, leaning against the pillar.

Spike punched Angel one more time before running upstairs. "Dawn," he said, opening the door to her bedroom.

Dawn opened her eyes. "Spike," she whimpered.

Spike went to her side. "I'm so sorry, Lil Bit," he said, sitting by her side.

Dawn pushed herself up so she could hug him. "It's not your fault," she whispered.

Spike carefully wrapped his arms around her. "I love you Dawn," he said, kissing her hair.

Dawn sniffled. "I love you, too, Spike," she said, against his shoulder.

Downstairs, Buffy and Angel were arguing.

"Buffy, I'm so sorry," Angel.

"Angel, you raped my sister!" Buffy yelled. "Everyone says Spike's a monster. He would never do this to me or Dawn," she flared, tears running down her face.

Spike came downstairs and joined Buffy on the porch. He had the murderous gleam in his eyes again.

"How is she?" Buffy asked, turning to him.

"Sleeping. Red's with her," Spike said.

Buffy looked at Angel. "Angel, you'd better leave before you get killed," she said, following Spike inside.

Spike immediately went back upstairs to Dawn's room. "Red? How is she?" He asked, sitting next to Dawn.

"It's gunna take some time," Willow said.

Buffy crossed her arms as she leaned against Dawn's doorway. "But she's gunna be okay?" She asked, going over to Dawn and Spike.

"Yeah. You guys should get some sleep," Willow said, leaving them alone.

Buffy went behind Spike and wrapped her arms around his shoulders. "I don't think I can sleep," she said.

Spike brought a hand up to her arm. "You should at least try," he said, leaning up against her.

"You gunna stay with her? I'll start crying again if I stay too long," Buffy said.

"Yeah. I'll stay with her," Spike said, bringing his other hand up to her arm.

Buffy's hand cradled his cheek, and he glanced up at her. Buffy leaned down and brushed her lips against his. "I'll see you in the morning," she whispered.

"Goodnight Pet," he whispered, watching her go.

Spike watched Dawn all night and Buffy found him in the same position. "Spike, he's not gunna hurt her," Buffy said, pulling him to his feet.

"I need to keep watch Buffy," Spike said, drowsily.

"No, you need to get some sleep," Buffy said, pulling Spike out of Dawn's room.

"Buffy..."

Buffy kissed him softly. "Spike, please get some sleep," she whispered against his lips, as she pushed him gently toward her bed.

Spike closed his eyes as a few tears slid down his face. "Buffy," he whimpered.

Gently, Buffy tucked him in bed and ran her fingers over his face. "Shhh. Just rest," she whispered, kissing his forehead.

Spike relaxed under her and sighed. He began to purr as he slipped in to sleep.

Buffy stayed with him a little longer before quietly slipping from the room. She went to go check on Dawn, who was awake and propped up.

"Hey," Buffy said, going to sit next to her.

Dawn smiled. "How's Spike?"

"Resting. He didn't sleep last night. Too afraid, you know, that something would happen," Buffy said.

Dawn smiled a little. "Did he kill Angel?" She asked, avoiding her sister's gaze.

"No. Just bruised him," Buffy said, stroking her sister's hair. "You wanna talk about it?" She asked, softly.

Dawn's lip quivered. "I know Spike was trying to get to me and that was the small piece of comfort. Just Buff, I've never... it just hurt so much," Dawn whimpered.

Buffy swallowed her tears. "Dawn, we tried. I'm so sorry."

Dawn sniffled. "He's okay though?" She asked, pushing herself out of bed.

"Yes, Dawn, I don't think you should..."

"Buffy, I can't stay in bed anymore. I'm gunna grab a shower and if I need you, I'll call you," Dawn said, going toward the bathroom.

Buffy frowned. She headed back to her room where Spike was sleeping peacefully.

Her frown disappeared as he buried his face in her pillows. He inhaled deeply and mumbled. "Buffy."

She smiled and slipped in next to him. "My Spike," she whispered against his skin.

"Yours," he mumbled sleepily.

Buffy smiled and kissed his shoulder lightly. "You Buffy."

"Love you," he said, purring.

"I know," Buffy said, settling down against him. "Love you," she mumbled before drifting off.

When Spike woke up, he slipped from Buffy's arms. She murmured in protest but settled back down.

Spike grabbed some clean clothes and headed to the shower.

Buffy woke and found herself alone she slipped from bed when she heard the shower running. She opened the door a crack and noticed Spike's clothes.

With a smiled, Buffy slipped in the bathroom and shut the door silently. She stripped her clothes off and climbed in behind him.

Spike turned around startled. "Buffy?"

Buffy leaned up and kissed him softly. She wrapped her arms around his neck and pushed herself up against him.

Spike's arms went around her waist and he moaned into her mouth. "Buffy," he whispered, pulling back so she could breath.

Buffy leaned her forehead against his. "Shh, just.. kiss me," she whispered.

Spike leaned down and kissed her softly.

After their aquatic exercises, they were in the bedroom and Spike was brushing Buffy's hair. Spike's ribs were in much better shape so it didn't hurt to move too much.

He set the brush to the side and pulled her against his chest. "What brought this on?" He asked, against her hair.

"I didn't realize how much I mussed you, until you were gone," Buffy said, tilting her head a little.

Spike kissed her neck. "But about..."

Buffy turned her lips toward him. "No. We're past that. It's different now. I love you," she whispered.

Spike kissed her softly. "I love you, too, Pet," he said, against her lips.
