I WANT WHATEVER YOU WANT
Buffy walked toward Spike's crypt and pushed the door open. "Clem?"
Spike and Clem stopped their argument and gazed at the Slayer.
"See, now you get to tell her yourself," Clem said, leaving.
Buffy couldn't seem to tear her eyes away from Spike. "When did you get back?" She asked.
"Just now," Spike said, avoiding her eyes.
Buffy marched up and slapped him. "How could you?" She screamed, tears running down her face.
Spike moved away from her. "Buffy..."
"No. You said you loved me and then you left," she said.
Spike turned and looked at her with tears in his own eyes. "What was I supposed to do?" He whispered. "Buffy, I almost..."
"No," Buffy said, placing a finger over his lips. "Don't worry about that," she whispered. "I didn't want you to leave. We could've talked about it."
"And say what Buffy? 'I'm sorry I almost raped you. I'll never do it again'," he said, mocking.
Buffy frowned. "Spike," she whispered.
Spike moved away from her. "Buffy, I didn't wanna fight with you. To be honest, I didn't even wanna see you," he said.
Buffy almost began crying again. "Why?"
"'Cause it hurts," Spike said, softly.
"Spike, I'm so sorry for what I did. If I could take it back, I would," Buffy said, her tears sliding down her face.
"Buffy, it's not you. Everytime I look at you, I see every horrible thing I've done. My soul is making shudder just by looking at you and I can't take it," Spike whispered.
'What?" Buffy whispered, going toward him. "You got your soul?"
Spike began to tremble as she came closer. "Buffy please don't," he said, tears in his eyes
again.
Buffy ignored him and walked closer to him. "What happened?" She asked, gently.
"Saw a demon about a girl." Spike moved away from her. "I wanted to give you what you deserved and now the only thing that's still the same is, I still love you. Everything else is different. I didn't wanna see you cuz I knew that you'd be upset," Spike said.
"But I'm not. Spike don't you get it? You left after you said you loved me. You promised me that you wouldn't hurt me. Then you left and I hated it," she said.
Spike closed his eyes let out shaky breath. "So now what? We argue about who's right and who's wrong even though I'm wrong," Spike said.
"No. We are gunna put the past behind us and you need to come home with me and see Dawn," Buffy said.
Spike looked up. "Does she know?"
"They all know, but I told them that if you came back, that I'd forgive you and if you'd let me, we'd try again," she said, blushing a little.
Spike looked at her with a flicker of hope in his eyes. "Try again?" He asked.
Buffy smiled and kissed him softly. "Yeah, but we can do it right."
Spike leaned his forehead against hers and rested his hands on her hips. "Let's go see the Nibblet," he said.
Buffy slid her hand into his and pulled out into the night.
At the house, Spike paused before going in.
Buffy gave him a reassuring smile and pulled him inside. "Dawn?"
"Kitchen!" She yelled.
"Come here," Buffy called, leading Spike to the couch.
Dawn walked into the room and froze. "Spike," she whispered.
Spike stood up. "Hey Dawn," he said, softly.
Dawn stalked over to him and slapped him. "How could you?"
Spike put his hand up to his cheek and stepped away from her. "Dawn, I know you're mad but..."
Dawn crossed her arms. "You broke your promise," she said, tears in her eyes.
"What promise?" Buffy asked.
"The day you died, Spike promised he'd never leave. No matter what," Dawn said, tears sliding down her face.
"Dawn..." Spike said.
"No! Nothing you say is gunna make me forgive you," Dawn said, running upstairs.
Buffy wrapped her arms around Spike's waist. "She's not talking about the bathroom. She forgave you for that," she said.
Spike looked down at her then went upstairs.
He paused outside Dawn's door and listened to her cry. "Dawn?"
"Go 'way," she whimpered.
"Dawn, please open the door," Spike said.
"Why, so you can tell me you're sorry?
That's not gunna fix it Spike," she said.
"Dawn I have reasons," Spike said.
"What happened between you and Buffy stays between you two. You should've at least come to say goodbye," Dawn said.
"I didn't want to," Spike said.
"Why?" Dawn screamed.
"'Cause I was coming back," Spike said.
Dawn finally opened the door. "You were?"
Spike smiled a little. "Yeah. I had to find something to fix this. But I wasn't gunna be gone forever," he said.
Dawn smiled and wrapped her arms around him and cried.
Spike wrapped his arms her and rocked her back and forth. "Shhh. I'm here and I'm not leaving ever again," he said.
"Promise?" Dawn asked, looking up at him.
Spike smiled. "Promise," he said, kissing her forehead.
"I love you, Spike," Dawn said.
"I love you too, Nibblet," Spike said.
"Does Buffy love you?" She asked.
"No. Just cuz I got my soul, isn't gunna make her love me," Spike said, softly.
"Your soul?" Dawn asked, going to sit on her bed.
"Yeah," Spike said. "Wanted to make things right, so I saw a demon about a girl," he said.
"How?" Dawn whispered.
Spike smiled. "I'll tell you tomorrow when I give Buffy the full story," he said.
Then Buffy appeared in the doorway. "What's going on?" Buffy asked.
"Nothing, just talking," Dawn said.
"So thing's are okay?" Buffy asked. "Cuz I have news that you guys might wanna know."
"Yeah. Spike promised he wouldn't leave so we're good," Dawn answered.
"I know today has been kinda crazy today
but this can't wait," Buffy said.
"Uh- oh," Spike said, standing up.
"Spike, we're gunna have a baby," Buffy said, closing her eyes.
Spike's eyes widened. "What?"
Buffy's eyes opened. "We're gunna have a baby," she whispered again.
"I can't be mine," Spike said.
"Sorry to disappoint you," Buffy spat. "But it is," she said, leaving the room with tears in her eyes.
Spike ran after her. "Buffy, that's not what I meant," he said, following her into her room.
"Then what did you mean?!" Buffy flared, tears running down her face.
"Vampire's don't make children," Spike said. "Being a father is remarkable news and I'd be more then happy to stand beside you but we gotta talk about this."
"So you want this baby?" Buffy asked, wiping her tears.
"I want whatever you want," Spike said.
Buffy smiled. "I want this baby with you," she said.
Spike want over and kissed her softly. "I love you," he whispered.
"I know," Buffy said, kissing him.
