Buffy slammed her stake in the vampire and smiled as he turned to dust. The back of her neck still tickled, in a familiar way.
"Spike, I don't wanna fight," she said, sighing.
Spike watched her and came form his hiding spot. "I don't wanna fight either," he said, going to stand in front of her.
"Then what are you doing here?" She asked softly, as they began to walk toward her house.
"Wanted to make sure you were okay," he said, quietly.
"Why? What's up?" Buffy asked.
"Angel lost his soul," Spike said.
Buffy's eyes widened. "How?" She asked, unlocking the door.
"You don't know?" Spike asked confused. When she shook her head he continued. "You didn't sleep with him?"
"No," Buffy said, going upstairs, with him right behind her.
Spike bowed his head. "I should've known," he said, softly, sitting on her bed.
Buffy frowned and went up to him. She put her hand under his chin and lifted his gaze. "You
okay?"
"Other than the fact my heart just broke, I'm peachy," she said, unshed tears in his eyes.
Buffy frowned and wrapped her arms around his shoulders. "Dru," she whispered.
Spike's arms went around her waist and he buried his face in her stomach.
Buffy rubbed small circles in his back when she felt his tears. Tears formed in her own eyes at both of their losses.
She lifted her leg and placed it on the bed, next to his leg. She lifted the other one and put it on the other side of him. She settled herself in his lap
and they both cried.
Spike's tears died down and he rested his head on hers, as she continued to cry. "It'll be okay, Pet," he said, kissing her hair.
Buffy sniffled and picked up her head. She nodded and swallowed her tears. "Ok," she whispered.
Spike wiped her tears away. "You should get some sleep," he said, softly.
Buffy shook her head. "No, I haven't been able to sleep for days. I doubt I'll be able to tonight," she said, softly.
Spike stood up with her still attached to him. He went up and pulled the covers down. Gently, he laid in bed. He pulled the covers up over her and kissed her forehead.
Try and get some sleep, Pet," he said, softly.
Buffy looked a little skeptical by nodded. "Okay," she said, closing her eyes. "Don't leave," she mumbled sleepily.
Spike smiled and stroked her hair. "I won't," he said, smiling.
When Buffy woke, she sat up quickly. She noticed Spike sleeping on the floor, in the shadow of her bed. She smiled and got up.
She crouched next to him and ran a hand over his face. "Spike.'"
Spike stirred and opened his eyes. "Hey. You okay?" He asked.
Buffy smiled. "Yeah. I have to get to school though. You can use the bed while I'm gone," she said, standing.
Spike smiled. "Thanks Pet," he said, pushing himself to his feet. He paused and looked at her. "Sure you're okay?" He asked, sitting on her bed.
Buffy nodded. "Yeah," she said, gathering things for her shower. She went over to him and kissed him softly. "Thanks, for being here," she whispered before disappearing into the bathroom.
Spike stretched out on Buffy's bed and was asleep by the time she came out of the shower.
Buffy kissed his forehead and left for school.
When Buffy came home from school, her mother and Spike were talking in the kitchen.
"Hey Mom. Hey Spike," she said, going to the fridge.
"Hey, Honey. How was school?" Joyce asked.
"Uh, boring. Got lots of homework," Buffy said, sitting next to Spike.
Spike smiled at her. "You gunna actually do it?" He asked.
"Wanna help?" Buffy asked.
"Why not?" Spike mumbled.
"Good luck, Spike," Joyce said. "I'll see you two later," she said and left.
Buffy looked at Spike. "You okay?"
"Yeah. I'm feeling better. Your mom's nice," he said.
Buffy smiled. "Glad you like her."
"You okay?" Spike asked.
Buffy nodded. She leaned up and kisser him softly. "Yeah. Eventually. I'm gunna have to talk to Angel though."
Spike frowned. "Angelus, Pet. Not the same guy you knew. And I wouldn't recommend it," he said, pushing the hair out of her face.
Buffy frowned. "What's he like?" She asked.
"Angelus? Um.. He kills to impress his women. Doesn't kill to feed. Tortures his victims especially the women he loves," Spike said. "He feeds off of the pain he causes. Like what's going on with you," he said.
"So he's gunna kill my family, my friends, then try and make me a vampire?" Buffy asked.
"He can try. I'm not gunna let anything happen to you or the people you love. I promise," he said, kissing her softly.
"Spike, Angel told me what he did to Drusilla before he turned her. I don't wanna be a loon. No offense. If he does succeed..."
"Never gunna happen," Spike growled.
"If for some reason it does, I want you to kill me. As a friend and possibly more, promise me you will," Buffy said.
Spike frowned. "I promise," he said, kissing her softly.
Spike pulled her into his lap and deepened their kiss.
Spike tightened his arms around her. "Buffy," he groaned.
"You gunna make it upstairs?" She asked, panting.
Spike scooped her up and took her up to her room. Gently he laid her on the bed. "Buffy?"
Buffy put a finger to his lips. "I'm sure. I want you, Spike," she whispered.
Spike toed off his boots and leaned down to kiss her again.
Slowly Spike removed her clothing and his own. He positioned himself at her entrance.
"Spike," she whispered. "I've never..."
Spike kissed her softly. "It's okay, Pet," he whispered.
Slowly he began to push himself into her.
Buffy gasped and closed her eyes.
Spike paused. "You okay?"
Buffy opened her eyes. "Yeah. I'm okay," she whispered.
Slowly, Spike pushed himself all the way in and held himself still.
Buffy began moving her hips slowly.
Spike moved with her and kissed her again.
Slowly, Buffy's climax began to build. "Spike," she moaned softly.
"Just let it happen, Pet. It's normal," he said, locking eyes.
"I'm a little scared," she said.
Spike leaned his forehead against hers. "Do you trust me?"
Buffy nodded. "Yeah," she whispered.
"Then don't be scared. I'm not gunna hurt you, Buffy," he said.
Buffy exploded gently. "Spike," she moaned huskily.
Spike felt his own climax hit and he emptied himself inside her. He kissed her softly.
Buffy tangled her fingers in his hair. "That was nice," she whispered.
"Glad you like it," he said, smiling.
"Can I drive?" She asked, shyly.
Spike flipped them over. "Have fun," he said, relaxing beneath her.
Buffy began rocking her hips again for the next few hours, she experimented and Spike enjoyed every minute of it.
After awhile Buffy laid next to him and smiled.
Spike pulled her against him. "You okay?"
"Yeah," she said, looking up at him. "So what did you think?" She asked, blushing.
"For your first time, you're a pro," he said, kissing her softly.
Buffy smiled and her blush darkened. "I'm glad you were my first," she said, running her hand back and forth across his abs.
"Hopefully, I'll be your last," he said, absently.
Buffy looked up at him. "You mean that?" She asked.
"What? You didn't think I was gunna let you go? You're the greatest woman on earth," he said, kissing her reassuringly.
Buffy laid her head on his chest. "Would it be okay to tell you I love you?"
"Yeah. I'm not gunna push you away or hurt you like the poof," Spike said, running his hand through her hair.
Buffy kissed his chest softly. "I love you, Spike."
"I love you, too, Buffy," Spike said.
Soon both vampire and slayer were asleep.
