The cold draft made Buffy shiver as the door of the magic box opened and the youngest of the Summers women entered. Dawn was dressed in her favourite outfit a casual cut top with a puppy in the centre and her ¾ length blue Jeans. Buffy noticed Dawn had a new pair of trainers on and a small smile crept to her face although she didn’t let the rest of the gang see it, or what you could call the gang there was only Spike, Willow, Giles and she supposed Dawn too that was there.
“Like the trainers Donny” Willow said as a look of jealousy crossed her face
“Where did you get them?”
“Oh these things “Dawn replied flicking her hand towards her new trainers like they were something out of a garbage can.
“Well I think you should ask Giles”
Everyone’s head slowly turned towards Rupert Giles, a quite elderly man wearing a navy blue top and jeans.
“What?” He said defensively “I thought she needed a treat-“
“Yeah it’s not like Buffy ever buys me anything!” Dawn interrupted.
“Now that’s not true little bit and you know that,” Spike said his smile he had been carrying since Dawn arrived melting
“Buffy buys you many things”
Buffy looked over at Spike she knew he cared and he always had she mouthed a thank you to him and he just gave a nod whilst smiling. Buffy immediately melted, she new that if she had been standing up she would have collapsed.
It always happened every time he gave her that super smile. If only he knew how she felt about him. Everything about him was perfect well except for the vampire with no soul thing. For one that super smile also the way he comforted her like no one else ever had, not even Angel.
“Yeah whatever name one thing she’s bought me” Dawn replied.
“You mean like that puppy dog t-shirt you’ve got on now” Spike said his smile still remaining on his face.
“Oh yeah I forgot about that.” Dawn said obviously running out of ideas. Buffy just sat there grinning from ear to ear, Dawn really wasn’t the brightest girl in the world but she still certainly tried.
“So” Giles interrupted
“I’m sure we were in the middle of a conversation”
“Oh yes the next apocalypse is coming conversation”
Willow said
“Well there’s nothing more interesting to talk about is there,” Buffy continued
“ I don’t know I can think of a few” Spike said his grin getting wider till he looked like the Cheshire cat off of Alice in Wonderland.
“Trust you, Spike” Buffy said her grin broadening to match that of Spike’s.
I don’t think he realizes just how much I love him, Hell I don’t even realize how much I love him!
Willow frowned obviously noticing the looks being exchanged between Spike and Buffy, she tried to change the subject and move on. Willow felt an obvious dislike of the relationship between Spike and Buffy. She was not going to let Spike spoil Buffy’s life not again, he had done it once well, twice already and she refused to let it happen again. Something had to be done, and Willow had plenty of time to think what it was going to be. Willow wiped the look of hatred towards Buffy off her face and forced a smile,
“So Buffy” Willow said trying to make her break eye contact with Spike, “What are we gonna do.”
“About what?” Buffy asked, it was obvious to Willow that she had been daydreaming about Spike… again.
“Ya know about the oncoming apocalypse that’s gonna swallow us all.”
“Oh yeah that” Buffy said snapping out of her daydream and getting back to business. “Giles do you know how it is that the demon is gonna destroy the world?”
“ No” Giles replied, “All I know is that it’s going to be soon, I don’t even have any idea which demon it is that’s going to bring down the Earth.”
“Yeah great, some researcher, you go into a demon bar and one of the demons tell you that’s an apocalypse is coming and all you do is say thanks, don’t ask questions or anything!” Willow said
“And you call yourself a watcher.”
“Well at least I try” Giles stammered then added
“And you can’t say anything after all I’m sure it was you who tried to destroy the world.”
Willow looked really hurt but then her hurt turned to anger.
“Yes well at least I’m not a posh stuck-up ponce; you’re so far up your own arse you can see the sun!!!” Willow shouted then stormed out.
“Nice one Giles” Buffy said in a sarcastic tone, then ran to follow after Willow.

Willow browsed at the shops, Giles was such an idiot he had no idea about what happened when she turned evil and ‘ugh’, she was so sick at people getting at her it’s not like she meant to try and destroy the world. If she really wanted to destroy the world she could still do. She knew she still had that power inside of her all she had to do was call upon it and Giles would wish he’d never been born!
“Hey Will wait up,” Willow heard the familiar voice behind her, she stopped “you’re a hard one to keep track of, me being a slayer or not.” Buffy said
Willow turned round “What do you want?” she snapped
“Hey I’m on your side no need to bite my head off.” Buffy said
“I know I’m sorry it’s just…” Willow hesitated she didn’t want to say anything bad about Giles, not in front of Buffy.
“Don’t worry we all know you didn’t mean to try and destroy the world, he was bang out of line. I think there’s something seriously wrong with him. Especially lately!” Buffy said in her most reassuring voice.
“Yeah, ok” Willow muttered “That’ll be it.”
Willow strode off but this time Buffy didn’t follow she was starting to learn that sometimes Willow had to be left on her own to think things through.
Willow was also learning a few things and she knew exactly where she was going, to meet an old friend…!
Chapter 2
Willow was the prettiest of the gang and lately she’d been having a thing for Spike. She didn’t let on though she wouldn’t ever do that to Buffy, well maybe once but that was nearly a year ago.
Ding Dong, Willow rung the doorbell than waited patiently.
The door unlocked then swung open,
“Oh hey, what is it you want”
Willow smiled “Hey Amy I need a favour, I know how last year I said I never wanted to see you again it’s just, I need your help plus I think it would be mega fun for you.” Willow said
“Ok but first tell me what it is you want me to do?” Amy said.
“Well Buffy’s sort of got this new boyfriend he’s called-“
“Spike yeah I’ve heard pretty much everyone has so what’s all this gotta do with me.” Amy asked
“I’d like us to do a spell together.” Willow said
“”Err ok” Amy said after a while “So what’s the spell?”
“It’s an anti-love spell for Buffy and Spike” Willow said “ Is that ok” She then asked
“Sure” Amy replied, “It’ll be fun!”
Willow walked in and they set off to work if anyone had been up that late then they would have felt a power rising from Amy’s household.

“That was one of the best spells I’ve done in ages, my whole essence felt like it was on fire” Amy was the first to talk after her and Willow had just finished the spell.
“Yeah it was good it’s the first time in ages that I’ve done a spell with someone else!” Willow rasped she had used a lot of energy and didn’t really have enough left to talk properly.
About an hour later Willow appeared out of the door and back at the magic box. Everybody stared at her again but she didn’t let it bother her it was going to be different this time. Spike and Buffy won’t be getting as distracted this time!
“Sorry about that everyone ya know how it is with people well me destroying the world and having a tender spot when it comes to talking about it.” She looked around at there clueless faces and tried another tactic.
“I’m sorry it just well it hurt what Giles said to me but and on coming apocalypse outruns my petty charades so lets get to work!”
Buffy smiled and said “This is the strong willow I know and are best friends with.”
Spike looked surprised at Willow he always knew she had a passion deep inside her and was always happy when it shone through. “Yeah, my bad ass Willows grown up.” Xander joked.
Willow ignored all there comments but smiled when she saw Spike looking at her proudly.
“So do you have any idea who it is that is going tot destroy the world yet?” Willow questioned
“Actually, yes we do.” Giles answered
“So, spill the beans!” Willow said. Trying not to look at Spike again.
“It’s called a lonaterd!”
“A what?” Willow asked
“A lonaterd!” Giles repeated
“I think I have to agree with Willow on this. What the hells a lonaterd?” Spike asked
“It’s a type of demon” Giles continued
“Yeah well we got that but why does it want to destroy the world? And what sort of things can it do?” Spike asked
“Oh I think you should all sit down, this is going to take a while!” Giles said.
