"Mommy, I don't want to go to the park!" Willow said pouting. Last time she went to the park Cordelia and her friends called her a baby! She was no baby, she was almost 6 years old! Willow thought a little resentfully.
"Now Honey! You'll have lots of fun at the park. Maybe that nice little Cordelia will be there. She's such a sweet little girl." Willow's Mom said reproachfully. Willow thought.
"But Mommy..." Willow started.
"No, buts! It'll do you good to play at the park!" Willow's Mom said with that resolve face she had. Willow sighed. She knew when her Mom had that face it was best to do what she said.

"Okay sweetie we're here!" Willow's Mom let go of her hand and gave her a little push. "Now you go and play." Willow walked over to a sandbox and sat down. Willow started digging with a little pink shovel and before long was building a sandcastle. She was actually having a lot of fun until Cordelia and her little group of friends came.
"Aww... Look at the little baby. Building a sandcastle. How sweet." Cordelia said, sarcasm dripping from her voice. All of her little friends giggled.
"I'm...I'm no baby." Willow said on the verge of tears.
"Are you going to cry? What a little baby!" Cordelia exclaimed. Just then a little boy walked up.
"Cordelia you're not even 6 yet so you're a baby if she is! You think you're so great but you're not! All you ever do is go 'Eew!'." The little boy said with his brown eyes twinkling while mocking Cordelia.
"You are so not funny! You're just stupid!" Cordelia said, rolling her eyes. Then she and her little group left.
"Thanks! I'm Willow. What's your name?" Willow asked a little shyly. Willow thought with a smile.
"I'm Xander. Do you wanna be my friend?" Xander said as he pushed his brown hair behind his ears and smiled.
"I'd love for us to be friends! Willow said, smiling sweetly. Willow thought excitedly.
"Well good then! So do you want to go play on the swings?" Xander asked.
"Sure!" Willow said with a smile. With that they walked off hand in hand.
