Buffy stared at the ceiling of her dark bedroom and sighed with contentment. She was in love, oh God was she ever! After she and Angel did a late patrol, he instisted on walking her home.
"But we're closer to your apartment than my house." She had argued, laughing at the scowling vampire.
"I don't care Buffy. You may be a Slayer, but your still my girlfriend-" he ducked his head, and if he could blush, he would have.
"Girlfriend?" Buffy asked, looking shocked at him. "Really?"
Turning his big chocolates brown eyes to her, he nodded. "Yeah, you are."

"Oh, ok." Buffy stammered, not sure how to take it from there. After walking a bit longer, silence between them, Buffy turned her head to watch him, but he had beaten her to it. They stopped and just stood, looking at each other. Buffy's face flushed a pale pink. "Good." She smiled as they started to walk agian.
Gently, Angel slipped his hand into her soft warm one. Hoping her racing heart wasn't to ovious, Buffy smiled deep inside her soul.
*You've got me so lightheaded,
It's a dizzy mood.
Spinning uncontrolably,
And gainning altitude.*
Walking down the dark street, Buffy had never felt so safe in her life.
With Angel's stronge hand in her own, she felt as if she could fly. Just take off throught the night.
"Thanks for patroling with me tonight." Buffy almost whispered, not wanting to ruin the mood.
"Well, anytime you want me to tag along, just let me know." Angel smiled as the reached her front lawn.
"Ok." She stalled, just trying to spend a few more precious moments with him. "How about tomorrow?"
"Sounds great."
"Good." She almost giggled. God, this was heaven! "Kind of like a... date?"
"No!" he yelled, scaring her into taking few steps back. Realizing his mistake, he reached out and pulled her close. "No Buffy. We'll do other things together. What are you doing Friday night?"
"Nothing."
"Wanna go on a real date?" he asked, cupping her chin with his cool hand.

"Like movies with popcorn and gummie bears?" she asked, her eyes lighting up like a childs.
"Yeah. I'll even throw in dinner too. Before or after the movie, it's your choice." he grinned, his dazzling smile making her heart melt.
"Oh Angel! That would be perfect!" she giggled and hugged his tall frame. With love poauring throught her bright eyes, she stared at him. "Your perfect."

Used to be I could keep my feet on the ground.

You weren't playing around.*
Angel leaned down and lightly brushed his lips over hers. "Only because you make me that way." He whispered sweetly to her, then kissed the hand he had been holding. She felt her heart soar as he took a few steps back. "Goodnight Buffy."
Standing dumb founded, Buffy watched him turn around and walk back down the street.
Once he was out of sight, she quickly scaled the house and ducked through her window.
Placing a hand to her racing heart, Buffy smiled. "Oh boy."

Staring at her dark ceiling, Buffy smiled. She was in love!
