For hundreds of years I was cursed.
My body walked the earth.
While my soul floated aimlessly,
unable to find rest.
Such pain I caused to all I came across.
I feed on terror and fright.
Stalking the night I killed for fun.
Then, suddenly, my soul was mine again.
My memory stayed.
My family dead, my life mine no more.
Constantly fighting for control of the body,
which once upon a time was solely mine.
Then a light came to my eternal dark.
Such beauty is like the sun,
burning me as it warms my frozen soul.
Now there are two things that can never be,
I can never be alive, and I can never have her.
