cold and unforgiving ground.
The air is cool,

this fever.

I never got the
chance to tell you
how I felt.
I planned on telling
you that night, but when
I got there you couldn't

The cold earth
doesn't deserve your
beauty beneath it's
surface.
The dirt I grip
in my clenched
hands is freezing.
My feet are numb from
standing in the thin
layer of snow for
so long.
Such an unfitting
resting place for
