Title: Possesed
Disclaimer: Dont own em, except the character of Constantine
Season: 4, with some minor changes, like Angel never left, and neither did Cordy, also Faith never became evil.
Summary: There’s a new demon in town and she’s possessing the slayerettes bodies one by one, can the gang find a way to stop her before it’s too late.
Buffy Summers and Faith Eastman, Vampire slayers both held their swords upright as they threw sound right hands at the demon in front of them. "Dammit Bitch die!" Faith screamed at the demoness Constantine, and stabbed her in the side with her sword, specially blessed by Willow to kill the demon, just barely missing her heart. She was so distracted that she almost didn’t see Constantine jab a claw into Buffy’s side and throw her across the cemetery. She gave a loud yell and rushed over to her sister slayer not paying any attention to the demon, who took off. She held the blond slayer in her arms, Buffy was coughing up blood and knocked out cold. Faith was positive she was going to die and suddenly got pissed. "Dammit Bitch! Don’t you dare die on me! You die, I swear to god I’ll kill myself just so I can go kick your ass all over Slayer heaven!" she yelled at Buffy, whose eyes began to flutter at Faiths words. "C’mon B! Don’t do this! Girlfriend show me a sign here. You don’t want to die again alright? It’s so overrated!" At this Buffy’s eyes opened and she gave a shaky laugh. Faith sighed in relief, "Alright B, let’s get you to the hospital." Faith picked Buffy up gently, and held the blind girl tightly in her arms as she ran all the way to the hospital.
"Good goddess what happened?" Willow asked Faith as she saw Buffy’s body in the hospital bed. " Got her ass kicked." Buffy answered not taking her eyes off the other slayer for a second. Buffy was her sister. After finding out that Faith had no family Joyce had adopted her and now she lived with them and slept in the room across from Buffy’s. She even called Joyce mom. Luckily she was in New York buying pieces for the gallery and Faith had decided it was best not to call and worry her since B would be good to go in only a couple of days thanks to her accelerated slayer healing. “That would have been my first guess. Cept that only happens once in an I don't know never." Willow replied. Buffy's eyes fluttered opened and she asked in a horse voice, "What the hell am I doing here?" "Demon bitch jabbed you with a claw in the side. Thought we almost lost you there for a second B." Faith answered as she stroked her sister’s hair. "Oh. So when can I go home? And you didn’t tell mom did you, ‘cause if you did I might have to kick your ass." Buffy said with a weak laugh. "You can go home tonight, and no I didn’t tell mom." Faith answered, "Well I’m gonna go tell everyone you’re gonna be okay and you should get some rest okay." "Okay." Buffy answered and closed her eyes.
"Home sweet Home." Buffy said as she walked into her house with Faith that night. Willow, Xander, Cordy, Giles, Oz, and Angel were already their waiting for her. Giles had made some tea and she took a cup gratefully. Faiths driving had got her heart going a million beats per minute. ‘Woman where did you learn how to drive?" she asked. "I didn’t" Faith answered and they all laughed. Buffy’s face got serious fast though. "So when do we start researching Constantine?" she asked "Tomorrow, you and Faith are gonna train at the library with Angel while the rest of us research." Willow answered. "Goody another research party. Man we really need to get ourselves a life." Xander said. "Speak for yourself Xander, I got a life." Cordelia said with a smirk. "So what time are we meeting?" Faith asked. " "Sunset." Angel answered. "An Angel friendly time. We want you to be prepared as possible to fight this thing." Willow smiled. "Then we'll see you guys tomorrow night, but until then Buffy needs her rest, so goodbye now." Giles, Willow, Xander, Cordelia and Oz left at Faith's words, not wanting to argue with slayer, especially when it came to her adopted sister. Angel lingered though and Faith glared "Out." she said, and seeing the warning look in her eyes, the vampire disappeared into the night.
“Faith, I’m worried.” Buffy said quietly, to the girl who had become like the sister she never had in a matter of months. “Why is that B?” Faith asked. “Because this demon was able to get away with both of us fighting her. That only happens like never.” Buffy answered. “True. But don’t worry about it, we can handle this bitch just like we did the Mayor, and Balthozar, and The Sisterhood.” Faith answered. "I really hope so." Buffy replied as she crawled into bed next to Faith, who didn't want to leave her side.
Xander walked towards his house enjoying the brisk night air. Cordelia had really started to annoy him. As much as he still loved his ex-girlfriend, things we're worse now between them then they'd ever been. He'd thought they might get better, after the night of graduation when they'd spent the whole night dancing in each other’s arms, celebrating the defeat of the Mayor. A cold wave of air hit Xander and he shivered, then blinked as a beautiful women formed before him. She was tall, and slender, with long curly raven locks, and black eyes. But their was something odd about her, he decided as she waked towards him, and not just because she'd appeared out of thin air. He froze as the girl reached out for him, and fell to the ground as she entered his body. A few moments later he stood up and looked around through new eyes, this was going to be fun.

Something was off with Xander, Willow decided as she watched her bestfriend dance at the Bronze. From the looks on the faces of the rest of her friends, she knew they were thinking the same thing. "Since when does Xander's dancing actually attract the female population?" Cordelia asked, honestly perplexed. Buffy was just as confused, "I don't know. It's kinda scary though." she answered. Everyone’s jaws dropped as yet another hot blond girl danced up close to the youth. "Now I know something’s wrong." Angel muttered. "Tell me about it. The hottest girl Xanders ever been able to get besides me was that one car obsessed chick, and that’s only because of the car he was driving." Cordelia replied. Willow and Faith, both hearing this, glared at the former cheerleader. "What?" Cordy asked, she asked, then realizing what she had said smiled sheepishly, "Sorry." Faith smirked, "You better be." Willow rolled her eyes and turned back around to watch Xander. Something was off, and she had to figure out what it was, and soon.
"Oh dear." Giles said, as he read the only text he'd been able to find on the demon Constantine. He set the book down, and picked up the phone, dialing first Buffy's and then the rest of the Scoobies pagers. They were not going to like this at all.
"What’s up G-Man?" Faith asked as they arrived at his house. Giles frowned as the Slayers and Slayerettes settled into his living room, he was going to need to get more chairs soon, there was barely enough room for just him, Buffy, and Faith, let alone him, Buffy, Faith, Oz, Xander, Angel, Cordelia, and Willow. "Information on Constantine." he answered. Xander froze, which did not go unnoticed by Angel, and Faith. "What about her?" Buffy asked. "It seems that one of her powers is to take on the image of a beautiful, etheral like women, and take possession of a human." he answered. "What do you mean by "take possession of?" Cordelia asked. "It means that she can enter their body and force them to do whatever she want's." Angel answered for Giles. Giles nodded in agreement. "So, how do we depose her?" Buffy asked. Faith nudged her, "Don't forget to ask how we kill her." Buffy nodded thoughtfully, "That too." she looked at Giles expectantly. Well, their is a spell we can do, but it won't kill her, only free the human from her possession." the watcher answered. Xander got up and started pacing. Angel and Faith looked at him suspiciously then nodded at each other. 5 minutes later they had a struggling Xander tied to a chair while the others looked on in horror. "Giles, you better get that spell." Buffy said.
Willow chanted the words of the spell, trying not to look at her bestfriend. It hurt her to see him in such pain. The demon inside him was putting up a hell of a fight, and Xanders adorable face was contorted in agony. She closed her eyes and summoned all her energy, smiling slightly when she felt Oz take her hand gently, reassuring her that everything would be alright. She loved how he could do that without saying a word. Willow felt the first wave of power flow through her and her eyes opened wide, black and triumphant. Buffy looked at the girl she had once known so well, who was now almost like a stranger and fought the urge to attack. Willow was a witch, not a demon, and her friend. She would do nothing to hurt them. But every time Willow's eyes went black when she worked her magick she couldn't help feeling the urge to destroy her. And that hurt Buffy more than words can say. The Slayer was distracted from her thoughts though, as Xander groaned in pain, and then seemed to go lifeless. Her eyes widened as a ghost like spirit flowed out of him and took form before her. Buffy went to punch her but Constantine grabbed her hand. "Some other time." she laughed and disappeared from the room. "Well that sucked." Faith said.
"You okay?" Willow asked as Xander drove her home that night. It was a full moon, and Oz was safely locked up. "Not really. Do you have any idea what it feels like to have something completely take control of you?" he asked, slightly bitter. "Yeah. I do. It's like that, with the magick. Sometimes its like I can't stop myself, even though I want to." she replied. Xander didn't say anything back, as they reached her house. She gave him a fierce hug before getting out of the car. "Be safe." she whispered softly. "You too." he answered. But it was too late for Willow to think about safety, as the spiritual figure of Constantine walked toward her, and reached out...

"Ooh! I found something!" Cordelia called out as she flipped through one of Giles' many multiple demonology books. "Here, let me see." Giles said, and she handed the book to the watcher. "What's it say G?" Faith asked from Buffy's kitchen. Giles skimmed over the text, then shut the book. "It says that Constantine does not have the power to possess those who already have a supernatural presence within them." Cordelia beamed, "So I actually found something of relevance?" Giles smiled slightly, "Yes." Buffy nodded, "Good." she turned back to Xander, then immediately whipped her head back around, "Wait. What the hell does that mean?" she asked. Giles smiled fully now, "It means that because you and Faith are slayers, Angel is a vampire, and Oz is a werewolf, you cannot be possessed by Constantine. Meanwhile, Constantine watched through Willow's eyes and smirked, *(This is going to be easier than I thought.)* she decided, as a plan began to form in her head.
Buffy and Faith stood outside, breathing in the warm California air as they waited for Willow, their jaws dropping in shock when their friend finally stepped outside. Willow was dressed in the sexiest clothes they had ever seen her in. She wore a pair of black leather, spike heeled boots, and matching skin tight pants that fell low on her hips. Around her waist she wore a thin silver chain with a butterfly charm on it, and her shirt was a low cut, green sequined sleeveless number that ended just above the belly button and showed off what little cleavage Willow had to it's best advantage. Faith whistled loudly and Constantine/Willow forced herself to blush, knowing it was something the girl would do. The demon also knew dressing like this was risky, but when she had seen the outfit in the mall, she hadn't been able to resist. Buffy grinned, but a little uncertainly, she had never known Willow to show that much skin.
"What's with the new look Will?" she asked. Constantine/Willow smirked slightly, god these humans were so predictable, "I felt it was time for a change." she answered. "Hmmm." the older slayer replied, trying to mask the suspicion she felt. The girls slid into Faith and Buffy's new car, a cherry red Mustang Convertible. "I'd say we're ready to party!" Faith said laughingly as they drove towards the Bronze.
The line at Sunnydales favorite, and only club was longer than usual, even for a Saturday night, but as soon as the bouncers saw Faith, the girls were ushered in. Faith and Willow instantly headed for the dance floor, but Buffy hung back, looking for Xander, Angel, Oz and Cordelia, who were supposed to be meeting them there. "Yo, Buff, over here." she heard a familiar voice call out. She turned around and smiled as she walked towards the table her friends had saved. "Where's Faith and Willow?" Cordelia asked. "Dancing." Buffy answered, waving her hand in the general direction of their friends as she gazed into Angel’s eyes. Oz, Cordy and Xander stood up. "We're going to go join them, You two don't spend too much time looking into each other's eyes. We don't want some innocent girl having all her blood sucked out cause you two haven't figured out a way to be together and not make Angel evil." Cordelia said. Buffy turned and glared at the too honest brunette. Xander slung his arms around Cordelia, "Forgive her, she has a heart condition." he smirked, Angel raised an eyebrow, "What kind of condition would that be?" the vampire asked. Xander smirked, and moved his arm, stepping a little off to the side, "She doesn’t have one." he turned around just in time to have Cordy's elbow connect with his stomach. "Oomph." he gasped, Buffy, Oz, and Angel laughed as Cordelia smiled, satisfied, "Come on doofus, let's see if any of my dancing lessons have paid off." she grabbed Xanders arm and they were off.
Willow watched through narrow eyes as Xander danced with Cordelia, and a plan formed in her head. As Oz reached her he went to pull her into his arms but she stepped away and headed towards Xander and Cordy. "Mind if I cut in?" she asked, not waiting for a reply, and not caring that the former couple seemed to be having a serious discussion. As the song became a slow one, she held her hand out to Xander. He looked at her, confused, Willow was acting very strange tonight, he decided. The idea that she could be possessed floated through his head, but he dismissed it, no way would Constantine pull that move again, he decided. He wrapped his arms around Willows waist, and she wrapped her' around his neck. "What's this all about Will? Why aren't you dancing with Oz?" he asked. He felt Willow tense slightly, "I'm breaking up with Oz." she replied. Xander's body froze in shock. "What!?" he asked loudly, stepping away from her and looking at her through amazed eyes. Willow glared at him, her eyes the like emerald green fire. "Be quiet." she hissed, "I haven't quiet figured out a way to tell him yet." "But why?" Xander asked. Willow/Constantine froze, she needed an explanation, and she needed one fast, and a smile slowly grew across her face as an idea dawned on her. "Because, I'm still in love with you." she answered. Xander's and the nearby Cordelia both dropped their jaw's in shock. "What?!" they said in unison, so loud that it bordered on a scream.
"I'm still in love with you." Willow replied calmly. This was even better than she thought it would be. She couldn't wait to put her plan for Buffy, Faith and Angel into action. Cordelia turned on her heels and fled the scene, not wanting to hear his reply. He wouldn't care that she had just confessed her own love for him, just moments ago. He had, and would always love Willow more. She rushed past Buffy and Angel who were locked in a tight embrace, and Faith who was driving some poor sucker wild with her sensuous hip movements, and ignored their calls of "Cordy, what's wrong?" as she grabbed her purse and jacket then headed out to her car. She was just about to start the car when she felt someone open the passenger door and slide in. "What happened in there?" Buffy asked. "I told Xander I loved him, just like you told me to, then Willow showed up and announced that she was breaking up with Oz because she was still in love with Xander." Cordy answered between sobs. "Well, what did Xander say?" Buffy asked. "I don't know. I didn't stick around to hear him profess his love." she answered. "Well you should have. Because he gave her back to Oz and came chasing after you," Buffy said softly. Cordelias eyes widened, "Well then where is he?" she asked, Buffy giggled. "He went out the wrong door." Cordelia rolled her eyes. "Figures. Just tell him to meet me at Giles, I had an idea on how to deal with Constantine, and I need his opinion on it." "Oh. Well then why don't we all meet there?" Buffy suggested. Cordy nodded, and Buffy got out of the car. "I'll go tell the others, and we'll meet you there."
Willow/Constantine walked down the streets of Sunnydale towards Giles house, grinning widely. Her plan had worked exactly as she wanted it too. Oz and the real Willow's relationship was over, as was that of Willow and Xander, and Willow and Cordelias friendship. All she had to do now was depose the girl after the next Scooby meeting, during which she would complete her plans for Willow, and then pick her new victim, leaving the real Willow to deal with the damage.
"So what's you're brilliant idea?" Faith asked. "We come up with a spell that traps Constantine in her own body, and then we kill her." Cordelia answered. "That's it?" Faith asked. Cordy nodded. "But its so simple." Faith said. "It's so simple it might work." Giles replied. "I think it's bloody brilliant, Willow and I'll get started on it right away." he turned to the red head, but she shook her head. "I meant to tell you guys this earlier but I didn't have the chance. I'm taking a break from the Scoobies for a while. I know this isn't the greatest time and all, but I think it'd be better for us all if I did." Willow/Constantine stood up and walked out the door, leaving the rest of the group in shock behind her. As Willow slept a fine mist floated out of her body, and after leaving an invisible kiss on her forehead slipped through the cracks of her window. It was time for the next phase of her plan.
Giles slept soundly, undisturbed by the unusually cold breeze flowing through the the fully open window in his room. The window he had left open only a crack before going to bed that night. His rest was so sound, that he didn't even awaken when the dark mist that was the demoness Costantine flowed into his body.
Willow awakened with a start, *(That was one crazy dream)* she thought at first. It took another two seconds for Willow to realize that the events of the last few nights had been no dream, that Constantine had possessed her, and had alienated Willow from everyone she cared about. *(Oh dear,)* Willow thought, as she sank down onto her bed, and began to sob.
Buffy stared out her bedroom window, absently stroking Mr.Gordo's head. "What’s wrong B?" Faith asked as she placed an arm around her sister's shoulders. "Everything." Buffy answered truthfully. "We have some demon bitch running around possessing god only knows who, and we have no way of keeping her in her own body so that we kill her. Willow's got something wrong with her, and I just don't know what to do." Buffys voice cracked on the last word, as she began to sob. Faith removed her arm from Buffy's shoulder and grasped her hands. "I don't know either, but we'll figure it out. We always do. Cryings not going to make the situation any better so stop it. An emotional Slayer is a dead Slayer." Buffy rolled her eyes and tried to put a carefree smile on her face, but had little success. She wasn't very good at now worrying.
Giles/Constantine slid out of the shower and frowned at the reflection it saw in the mirror. This was definitely one of Constantine’s least favorite forms, but it was necessary to defeat those annoying Slayers, and their even more annoying friends. And despite having to possess a fat, middle age, man she was having great fun tearing their lives apart. Destroying the infamous couple of Buffy and Angel, and the sister-like relationship between Buffy and Faith would more than make up for having to inhabit this body. Humming to itself, Giles/Constantine finished getting dressed and headed into Giles' room, where it picked up the phone and dialed Angel's number.

*LATER THAT EVENING, AFTER SUNSET*

Buffy spun around and kicked the vampire who was attacking her in the face, while Faith punched another one in the gut. "So how are things with Angel going?" Faith asked. Buffy shrugged as she dusted the vamp and moved on to the next one. "I don't know. After the whole Mayor poison thing, and the big "It's dangerous for us to try and make it work but I love you too much to let you go." speech, everything seemed to be going great, but every time we get really close he pulls away." Faith smirked, "Of course he pulls away, do you need to get laid so bad that you're willing to risk him losing his soul again?" she asked, as she dusted two vamps at once. Buffy rolled her eyes as she finished the last vamp in the group and collapsed on the ground. "I didn't mean physically close. It's like, deep down, I know he really loves me, but sometimes I wonder if he only stick's around because he thinks he has to." Faith helped Buffy up, and linked an arm through hers. "I don't know B, maybe you should ask him about it." Buffy nibbled on her bottom lip. "Yeah, maybe I should."
Buffy rushed into the mansion, but stopped short when she saw that Giles was there, and deep in conversation with Angel. She moved to a spot where she was sure they couldn't see her, and listened. "I'm not trying to be cruel Angel, but you're no good for her. With you around she's too easily distracted when she needs to be concentrating on her training. It's bad enough with Willow, Xander and the rest of them around distracting her, but she doesn't need a boyfriend as well." Buffy's jaw dropped in shock at Giles words, *(How dare he!)* She fumed, but it was Angels words that shook her to her core, and broke her heart in two. "You're right. Which is why I'm leaving after the battle with Constantine is finished. She doesn't need me, I should have left long ago." Giles nodded. "I think that would be for the best. Faith and I were talking about it, and we're gonna send her away for a while. To London, and Faith will take over the Slaying here." Buffy couldn't take it no more, couldn't bear to hear another word. She rushed out of her hiding place and headed for the door, but she was so blinded by her tears that she didn't see Giles look directly at her with hatred in his eyes, and smirk.
Buffy entered the home she shared with Faith, the home she had opened up to a girl with nowhere else to go, walked over to the girl she had considered a sister, and punched her in the face. "What the hell B?" Faith gasped as she rubbed her nose. "How dare you?" Buffy hissed. "How dare I what?" Faith asked, confused. "How dare you try and plan my life. You and Giles were gonna make Angel leave, then send me to London. What we're you gonna do if her refused? Kill him? Well you don't have to worry about it, because he's leaving and so am I." Faith stepped away from Buffy and looked at the through bewildered eyes, as she grabbed her leather jacket. "Look B, I don't know what the hell is up with you, but I don't have to stick around and listen to your bullshit accusations. I'm outta here." Not waiting to hear Buffy's reply Faith slammed the door behind her as two tears fell down her face, and from its hiding place across the street Giles/Constantine smiled.
Faith walked into Angels mansion and shivered, pulling her jacket more tightly around her. "Angel!" she called out. "You here?" she asked as she walked into the room he used as a library. "Faith." Angel stood up, "What's wrong?" he asked. Faith sat down. "I don't know. B came home rambling on about you leaving, and me and Giles planning to send her to London." Faith replied. Angel raised an eyebrow. "Didn't you?" he asked. "No. I didn't. Who told you this?" she asked angrily. "Giles." Angel answered, "That son-of-a-" Faith was cut off though, when Angels chocolate eyes widened as he figured out what was going on. "What? What is it?" Faith asked. "Giles has been possessed. Call Willow, and Buffy. I'll go get Giles."
Giles struggled with the restraints holding him and smiled hideously at Buffy. "It doesn't change anything you know. He's still leaving you." Buffy glared at him, and Faith went to kindly knock him out, but Buffy stopped her, and walked over to him. Bending down, and looking him straight in the eyes, without any fear, she said in a voice so low that only he and Angel could here, "He might, but it doesn't matter, I'll follow him wherever he goes, and I'm still going to kill you."
Cordelia lay in Xander's arms, in his bedroom in the basement, staring at the ceiling. As she listened to his gentle snoring, she reflected on the events of the last couple of weeks, still in shock at everything that had happened. First that demon bitch Constantine had arrived in town and nearly killed Buffy, then she had possessed Xander, but Willow unpossessed him and got possessed herself. In Willow's body the demon had nearly ruined Cordelia and Xander's chance to be together again, by forcing Willow to break up with Oz and confess her 'love' to Xander, only minutes after Cordy had, in an attempt to divide the Scooby Gang. Xander had called it the 'Yoko' Factor, whatever that meant. After unpossessing Willow and possessing Giles, Constantine had nearly succeeded in tearing apart the Super Slaying team of Buffy and Faith, along with alienating Giles and Buffy, but her plan hadn't completely worked, though she had succeeded in breaking Buffy and Angel up, but that probably would have happened anyways. Cordelia closed her eyes, and snuggled up close to Xander, so lost in her thoughts that she didn't feel the cold breeze that came in a formerly closed window, and didn't see the dark shadow approaching until it was too late.
Xander awoke to a pair of soft hands squeezing his neck, his eyes widened in shock as he saw that Cordelia was the one attempting to strangle him. He tried to remove her hands but her grip was surprisingly strong. Xander looked into her eyes and his blood ran cold as the realization that this was not his Cordy hit him. Positive he was going to die, Xander closed his eyes, waiting for Buffy to come to the rescue like she always did, and opened them seconds later when he heard a familiar voice hiss "Get away from him bitch.” And was just in time to see Cordelia/Constantine knocked to the ground with a baseball bat. But it wasn't Buffy who had saved his life, it was Anya. "Thanks..." he groaned, rubbing his neck. Anya grimaced, "No problem, you want to explain that though, cause when I left, you and Cordelia were broken up and she wasn't a murderer." Xander forced a smile. "That's not Cordy." Anya raised an eyebrow. "Well it is, but she's possessed by this demon bitch Constantine." At the name, Anyas eyes widened. "What?" Xander asked. "Grab Cordelia, and come on. We should go to Buffy or Giles, I'll explain there." she answered critically. *(I hate cryptic people.)* Xander thought as he followed orders and slung Cordelia over his shoulders.
Willow finished the depossessing spell on Cordelia, and stood back as the Constantine mist hovered furiously over the room, and she let out a relieved breath when the mist flew out the window. Buffy turned to Anya, "Alright, what do you know?" she asked. "I know the spell to trap her in her own body." Anya answered. Buffy's eyes widened, "But it'll take the blood of at least four of us supernatural people, and those that have been possessed, along with a witch to perform it." Anya finished. "Us supernatural people?" Xander asked. "D'Hoffryn gave me my powers back. I came to Sunnydale because I sensed a deep heartache, and a woman scorned." she said, looking pointedly at Buffy, who blushed. "I thought I'd stop in to say hi, when I saw Cordelia trying to kill you." Giles coughed and Anya turned to him. "And how is it you know the spell to contain Constantine?" he asked. "Because she is-was, once my twin sister. When D'Hoffryn made me into a demon, she demanded to be turned into one as well, but she refused to be limited to just the powers of a vengeance demon. Over time her thirst for power turned her into the thing she is now. Once I saw what she'd become I took it upon myself to discover how to destroy her, still blaming myself for what had happened to her, and now I think the time has come for me to use that knowledge." Anya finished her story and gave everyone a few seconds to process it. An hour later Xander returned with the needed herbs, and Anya mixed them into the bowl that held the blood of her, Oz, Angel, Buffy and Faith. The five sat in a circle around it, holding hands, as Willow stood over them, chanting in Latin the words:
"O Ancient Pagan ones divine
We call upon you in this dark time
By the crimson and the gold
By Basilisk and Bloodstone
Confine the demon Constantine into herself
So that she can no longer harm us."
As Willow finished the spell, she, Giles, Xander and Cordelia used her consecrated Athame to cut their palms and mix their blood into the bowl. She repeated the spell, and afterwards Buffy, Faith and Angel left to take the blood and pour it out in the nearest cemetery, and Willow fainted. Oz ran over and lifted her up into his arms. "What's wrong with her?" he asked Anya. "The magick we just invoked, while simple, was ancient and powerful, and though a powerful witch in her own tight, Willow is still just a human, she should be fine after a few hours sleep." Anya answered. While Oz carried Willow up to Giles' guest room, Xander, Cordy and Giles departed to the kitchen to deal with the cuts in their palms, Anya slipped out the front door. It was time she had a talk with her sister.
Once outside Anya closed her eyes, and cast her senses until she felt the all too familiar presence of her sister. Once she had pinpointed a location for Constantine she closed her eyes and teleported, and opened them to find herself facing her sister in a matter of seconds. "Anyanka." her sister said, without even blinking at her sudden appearance before her. "Constantine." She replied coldly. "Why so angry Sis?" Constantine asked, smirking. "Angry? Why would I be angry? You only tried to kill the only man I've had any affection for in a thousand years." Constantine shrugged. "It was nothing personal Anyanka. I want this town and to have it I need to destroy the slayer and all her little Slayerettes, I'm sorry that he's one of them. But I'll tell you what. Since you are my sister and all, I'll spare him and let you decided his fate." at this Anya raised an eyebrow and smirked. "Normally I wouldn't give a damn what happened to these humans, but I care for Xander and he cares for them. Besides you're getting a little too cocky sis, I think it's about time you were brought down a notch or two. You're not invincible you know."
Constantine raised an eyebrow of her own, her face an exact replica of Anya's. "And what makes you so sure that they'll win?" she asked. "Because Buffy Summers is the greatest slayer who ever lived. She alone defeated both the Master and Angelus, two of the greatest vampires of our time, and Faith is probably just as good. Together they defeated a pure demon, together they are invincible." With those words Anya disappeared before Constantine could even blink, and reappeared in Giles' living room seconds later.
"Where have you been?" Xander asked. "Talking to my sister." Everyone stopped doing whatever it was they were doing and looked at her suspiciously. "Don't everyone talk at once. Constantine is entirely convinced that she's going to destroy you all and take over this god-for-saken town, I told her she was nuts. Now will everyone please stop looking at me like I've killed their puppies." Anya said, rolling her eyes. "WHAT THE HELL POSSESSED YOU TO GO TO THAT BITCH? SHE COULD HAVE KILLED YOU!" Xander yelled. Anya shook her head. "No. She couldn't have. While Constantine's powers have grown greatly over the last thousand years, they are still rooted in those that D'Hoffryn gave her as a vengeance demon. Vengeance demon magick prevents us from killing each other." Anya replied. "Oh." Xander said. "Enough chitchat!" Buffy exclaimed, getting annoyed as she stood up. "Yeah, it's time to come up with a battle plan. This bitch is going down!" Faith smirked. "I vote we just attack now. She won't be expecting it, so we'll have the advantage." Xander said, Buffy went to protest but Anya stopped her. "I think Xander's right. When I was, um, visiting Constantine I did a head count of her followers. Most were vamps, with three Fyarl demons thrown in for good measure. Fyarl demon are easily destroyed by cutting their heads off with a blade of pure silver, just watch out for their paralyzing mucus." Giles looked at Anya thoughtfully. "You're right. You, Buffy, Faith, and Angel all have supernatural strength, and you and Angel are nearly indestructible. If the four of you can handle Constantine and the Fyarl demons, the rest of us can easily deal with the vampires." Buffy looked at Faith and Faith nodded, signaling to Buffy that she thought it was a good plan. "Alright then, grab some weapons and let's go." Buffy ordered.

It was a strange sight the few stragglers of Sunnydales streets, mostly consisting of crazy homeless people and runaways, saw later that night, after the sun and set. But the five young women, three young men, and one old guy, all carrying assorted weapons, were oblivious to the looks they were getting. "You ready for this B?" Faith asked, looking pointedly at the side Constantine had injured in their last battle. "If I wasn't I wouldn't be here." Buffy answered. Faith smirked. "Yes you would. Since when has an injury every stopped you from doing you're duty?" Buffy smiled sheepishly and shrugged, as if to say, "So what?". Anya led the way and soon the nine of them arrived in front of the boarded up, abandoned where house the demon was using as headquarters. Willow whispered a spell and the door flew open, "Ready or not, here we come." Xander called out quietly in a sing-song voice as they entered.
Staying together because Giles had decided separating into two separate groups would be a bad idea in the long run, the gang traveled through the dark corridors with only Anya and Angel's super sight, and Oz's sense of smell leading them through, though Buffy and Faith's eyes were adjusting to the darkness.
"Are we almost there?" Cordelia whined. "Shut up." Willow hissed as they approached the door Anya had pointed out as leading to Constantine. Willow repeated the spell she had used on the front door, but it didn't work. She frowned, biting down on her bottom lip. "What's wrong?" Oz asked, placing a comforting hand on the small of her back. "It's protected against magick." Willow answered. Faith rolled her eyes, "I got this." she muttered, as she pushed through them and kicked the doorknob handle off. The door slid open. "Bingo." Buffy said softly, as they walked through.
The room they walked into was filled with candles, and Constantine was busy filing her claw-like nails, while her followers conversed amongst themselves, waiting for orders. None of them looked surprised to see them, Constantine even smiled in greeting. A cold, hideous smile that sent chills down everyones back and made their blood run cold. "Do you want her or can I have her?" Faith asked Buffy. Buffy looked thoughtful for a second. "I gotta kill the last big demon, so it's your turn." Buffy answered as she drew a deadly looking sword out of the hilt at her waist. Faith pulled out the matching one from hers, both were specially blessed by Willow, engraved with powerful protective runes, and had their initials engraved with spelled jewels, ruby's for Faith and Sapphire's for Buffy. Angel drew out his own sword, the one Buffy had used to send him to hell with nearly two years ago, while everyone else drew out stake's. "Alright then, let's party." Faith said with a grin, as she rushed towards Constantine.
Faith spun around and kicked the demon in the face, then again in the gut. Constantine doubled over, then retaliated with a punch to the face that left three long scratches down Faith's left cheek. Faith lifted up her sword, majorly pissed now, and Constantine grab hers. Meanwhile, as Faith and Constantine battled, Anya, Angel and Buffy battled their own demons, while Oz, Willow, Cordelia, Xander and Giles held off the vampires. Anya kicked the Fyarl demon she was fighting with in the stomach, and it retaliated with a kick to the face, Anya staggered back, then spun around in an attempt to cut it's head off, but it ducked just in time and went to stab Anya with it's own sword. Anya spun around again, and kicked the sword out of it's hand, then looped it's head off. The demon fell to the ground, then disappeared into a mist. Anya looked over at Angel and Buffy who both seemed to be holding their own, so she went to help with the vamps, just in time to save Cordy from being bitten. Angel and Buffy fought back to back, and the sounds of clashing sword filled the air. Buffy punched the Fyarl demon in the face, then used her feet to knock it over, the demon was too slow in getting up though, and she easily cut it's head off with one quick movement, Angel did the same and the two demons disappeared. The ex-couple went to help Willow and Oz, who was doing his best at staking vamps while Willow used magick to temporarily disable them. With Angel, Buffy and Anya now helping, the vampires numbers dwindled from nearly fifty, to zero, and everyone stopped to watch as Faith and Constantine fought. They didn't have to watch for long though, for in one quick, clean movement Faith jumped up on Constantine's alter, and simultaneously kicked her sword out of her hand while slicing her head off. Everyone cheered as Buffy went to help badly beaten, and bloody Faith, even Anya, though she had tears sliding down her face. Buffy hugged Faith tightly, then let go and grinned. "Not bad F." Faith rolled her eyes and groaned in disgust, "Dork." she said, before passing out.

*A FEW HOURS LATER*
"Do you really have to go?" Buffy asked Angel, as she entered the mansion, and saw him standing by the fire, bags packed. He nodded. Tears welled up in her eyes, and Angel felt as if his heart was being ripped from his chest when they started slipping down her cheeks. He gathered her into his arms, and held her, cheek against cheek, and their tears mingled. He kissed her softly and she cried harder. "Why?" she asked. "Because it's the right thing to do. You're strong, but you could be stronger without me here holding you down, and I need to find out what my purpose is. I need to know why the Powers that Be brought me back." he answered as he released her. Without him holding her in place she sank to the floor, "Will you come back." she asked quietly. "Someday." he answered and she nodded. They remained like that for what felt like an eternity, the beautiful slayer, and her tortured vampire lover, as they prepared to say goodbye. Buffy stood up, and grasped Angel's hands. She looked at him, and said the word they had both been dreading, "Goodbye." he gathered her into his arms, and kissed her one last time, with all the passion, and gentle love he held inside for her. "I love you." he said. "I love you too." she replied, and releasing herself from his embrace, she headed for the door, prepared to leave her heart behind her in this room. Angel watched her retreating figure and couldn't stop himself, he had to ask, as he had once before, even though he knew her answer, he needed to hear her say it. "You still my girl?" she turned around and gave him a sweet, sad smile. "Always." she answered. And then she was gone, and Angel was alone.

“I don’t want to run away but I can’t take it, I don’t understand
If I’m not made for you then why does my heart tell me that I am?
Is there any way that I can stay in your arms?
If I don’t need you then why am I crying on my bed?
If I don’t need you then why does your name resound in my head?
If you’re not for me then why does this distance maim my life?
If you’re not for me then why do I dream of you as my wife?
I don’t know why you’re so far away
But I know that this much is true
We’ll make it through
And I hope you are the one I share my life with
And I wish that you could be the one I die with
And I pray in you’re the one I build my home with
I hope I love you all my life”
