Note: This is a little different from the stuff I usually write about since it doesn't have vampires and monsters or anything but I thought it might be fun to write a story about normal stuff for once. I hope you all enjoy it.
“I’m telling you guys it’s going to be great!” Willow said with excitement. Graduation had just ended and Willow Rosenberg was walking with her two best friends, Buffy Summers and Cordelia Chase. “As a graduation present my Uncle Giles and Aunt Jenny are letting me, and my cousin’s Xander and Riley stay at they’re new beach house in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina,” Willow continued.
“Wow that’s awesome,” Cordelia responded.
Buffy nodded in agreement. “Yeah Will. You guys are gonna have a great time.”
Willow gave her friends the kind of smile that one gives when they’re about to reveal an exciting secret. “You haven’t even heard the best part.” Buffy and Cordelia looked on in anticipation. “My Aunt and Uncle are also going to let each of us invite three friends along. You guys are coming with me!” Her excitement was almost uncontrollable.
“Oh my God, are you serious?” Cordelia asked.
Willow nodded her head with a bright smile. Buffy looked speechless. “That’s amazing. And here I thought this was going to be a dull summer.”
“Definitely not,” Willow assured her.
“So who else are you going to invite?” Cordelia asked.
“I’m not sure,” Willow responded. “You guys are my best friends and I had a lot of trouble thinking about who else I would invite. I was up half the night thinking about it.”
Buffy and Cordelia looked at each other and laughed slightly. Willow was dead serious. Buffy put her arm around Willow’s shoulder. “Only you would over think something like this.”
Willow’s face turned stern. “This is serious Buffy. Whoever else I invite we’ll be spending the whole summer with. I thought about maybe inviting Kennedy but I’m not sure any of us could stand her for the whole summer. She’s a great girl and all but she can only be taken in small portions. Then I thought maybe Tara or Harmony but neither of they’re parents would ever let them go since they’re so strict.”
“And I’m not sure we could handle Harmony for the whole summer either,” Cordelia added with a hint of sarcasm but mostly she was pretty serious.
“Exactly,” Willow agreed, “And Tara’s a little shy so she probably wouldn’t be too comfortable around my cousins and they’re friends.”
“You’re probably right,” Buffy agreed.
“I was also leaning towards Amy but she wouldn’t go without her boyfriend Larry and I can’t invite more then three people,” Willow continued. “Then I finally realized who I should invite.”
“Who?” Buffy and Cordelia asked with anticipation at the same time.
“Dawn,” Willow answered, “If that’s cool with you of course Buffy. I know she’s your little sister but she does hang out with us sometimes and she’s pretty cool and mature for 16. Plus I figured your mom might be more likely to say yes if you can bring her along.”
Buffy grimaced. “Oh yeah…I forgot about the whole having to get mom’s permission part. That may be a little bit of a challenge. But that would be fine with me if Dawn comes. She gets one nerves sometimes but she’s not too bad. Plus it probably will help with the mom factor. Dawny doesn’t really seem to have too many friends her own age so if I went without her mom would be worried that Dawn would just sit at home all day and do nothing for the whole summer.”
“Yeah good thinking Willow,” Cordelia agreed. “I like Dawn. She is really mature for her age and we all get along pretty well.”
Willow smiled at her two best friends. “Great! It’s settled then. Ask your parents tonight and let me know the verdict. Then, parents permission providing, the three of us and Dawn will be on our way to the beautiful Myrtle Beach for a super fun summer.”
The girls continued to walk with bright smiles on they’re faces. This was going to be the best summer ever.

Riley stood in the mostly empty dorm room for a moment. It had been a great first year and he was almost sad to leave. He had been living in an apartment style dorm room. It had two bedrooms with two people in each room, a kitchen and living room area and a small bathroom. He was standing in the doorway to his room.
One of Riley’s roommates walked up behind him and patted his back. “It was a great year Finn, but don’t worry…there’s plenty more where this came from.”
Riley smiled and turned to his friend. “You’re right Angel, and next year is going to be ten times better.”
“Not to mention this summer mate,” another of his roommates, William, added. He hated being called William, Will, Bill, or pretty much anything that had to do with his birth name. After a very interesting night at a party, his friends had given him the nickname Spike. As corny as it was, it fit him much better then William.
“Yeah good point,” Riley responded. “I’m glad you guys are coming. Its definitely gonna be a summer to remember.”
“I’m glad you invited us,” Angel agreed. “I had zero plans this summer. Really sucks that you can’t come though Gunn.”
Riley’s last roommate, Charles Gunn, had just walked in. “Yeah, I’m gonna miss you guys…wait…who am I kidding? I’m going to be in the Bahamas with Fred. I’m not even gonna be thinking of you guys,” he said with a laugh.
The others laughed with him and Angel playfully hit him upside his head. “I still find it weird that you’re girlfriend’s name is Fred.”
“Well it’s better then Winifred,” Gunn responded.
“Good point.”
“So who else are you gonna bring then Ri?” Gunn asked.
“I’m not sure yet. I haven’t really thought about it.”
“What about Angel’s younger brother?” Spike asked. “He’s been up a few times and he’s definitely proven that he can party with the best of us. He’d probably be the best choice.”
“Good point,” Riley agreed. Then he looked to Angel.
“I’ll ask him,” Angel said. “He’ll probably be psyched to go.”
“Great,” Riley confirmed. “It’s settled then.”

“My parents rock,” Xander said with a smile at his girlfriend Anya. Xander’s parents had recently told him about his graduation gift. He and two of his cousins were going to spend the summer in South Carolina and the best part was that they were each allowed to bring three people along. Xander couldn’t really care less about having three people go with him. There was only one person he wanted to spend the whole summer with and she was sitting right in front of him.
“Yes they definitely have good ideas when it comes to gifts,” Anya responded breathlessly. They had been making out in Xander’s basement for about fifteen minutes now. “So,” Anya continued in between kisses, “Who else are you going to bring?”
“Huh?” Xander asked. His mind wasn’t exactly concentrating on much but where his hands were going to roam next.
Anya stopped him for a moment. “You’re parents said you could bring three people right? I’m one so who are the other two going to be?”
Xander looked confused and slightly annoyed at the stopping. “I hadn’t really thought about it. I’ll probably bring Oz, he is my best friend.”
“Who else?”
“Umm…I’m not really sure. Do I have to decide now?” He didn’t really want to think about it right now. Now was not the time to think, now was the time to grope.
“Could I pick the person then?” Anya asked with a pleading smile.
“Who do you have in mind?” Xander asked, as if he didn’t already know.
“Faith?” she said in the form of a question to see if it was ok.
Xander thought about it for a moment. Faith and Anya were pretty different people but they had been close friends for a while. Faith was pretty wild but Xander and Oz got along with her ok. She was even in they’re band. The only other person he would think to invite would be Jesse, another member of the band and close friend of his, but Xander already knew that he had plans for the summer.
Finally, Xander rolled his eyes and gave in. “Alright, Faith will be the fourth.”
Anya smiled, wrapped her arms around Xander and kissed him passionately. It was a hell of way to say thank you and Xander loved every second of it.
