About a week later, Buffy was on her way to visit Spike. She was almost there when she felt a presence, but before she could react, everything went black.
Spike was anxiously waiting for his slayer to show up and after an hour he went looking for her, figuring she had trouble on patrol.
He found her scent which revealed another scent that scared him. Drusilla’s.
He growled and took off toward Giles’.
Giles opened the door and was surprised to see Spike there. “Spike?”
“Invite me in,” Spike said, clenching and unclenching his fists.
“Why should I?” Giles asked, crossing his arms.
“Because Dru took Buffy,” Spike said.
“Oh,” Giles said. “Well, come in, I guess.”
Spike practically fell through the threshold. “We gotta do something,” he said. “I f Dru senses me all over Buff, she’ll kill her.”
“We must get Angel,” Giles said.
As soon as Angel came through the door, he went after Spike.
“Angel!” Willow said, angrily. “Not now. Buffy is missing and we don’t need this crap.”
“If she dies,” Angel seethed. “I’ll kill you.”
“You wont have to,” Spike said, softly. “Can we just go find her?”
“Where would she take her?” Willow asked.
“The mansion,” Angel said. “If not there, I don’t know where.”
Spike was already out the door.
Spike picked up Buffy’s blood and it was strong. “She’s hurt,” he said.
“I know,” Angel said.
Silently they approached the mansion and looked in the window. Buffy was chained to the wall, badly beaten.
“I’ll distract her,” Angel said. “You get Buffy.”
Spike didn’t argue as Angel went inside.
“Angel,” Drusilla cooed.
“Hi Baby,” Angel said, acting as Angelus as he went toward Dru.
“Angel?” Buffy asked, weakly.
“Hi ya Buff,” Angel said. “You don’t look too good.”
Buffy struggled against her chains as Dru came toward her.
Angel came up behind Dru and drove a stake in her heart.
Spike got to Buffy as Dru turned to dust. He stared at her in shock before freeing Buffy of her chains. “You okay?” He asked.
Buffy nodded and eagerly curled into his arms. “I’ll be fine,” she said. “Just take me home.”
