Buffy walked into Angel’s office and stopped short when she saw Spike and Angel in the sun. “Spike?” She whispered.
Spike turned around and gaped at her. “Buffy.”
Angel turned around and looked back and forth between them. “Buffy, what are you doing here?”
“I talked to Andrew,” she said.
“I told him not to say anything,” Spike growled.
“Why?” Buffy asked.
“Because,” Spike said.
“That girl still creeps me out,” A voice said, coming to stand next Buffy. “Oh god,” she said, when she saw Spike.
“I’m in so much trouble,” Spike said.
“Oh, you’re both in trouble,” Buffy said.
Dawn was still gaping at Spike but she ran toward him anyway. She jumped in his arms and hugged him tightly. “I missed you,” she whispered.
Spike hugged her tightly. “I missed you too, Dawn,” he said, into her hair.
Buffy turned and ran out of the office.
Angel took off after her. “Buffy!” He called.
Buffy stopped short in the middle of a hallway, realizing she had no idea where she was going. “How could you?” She whispered.
“He didn’t want you to know,” Angel said.
“Since when do you care about what Spike wants?” Buffy asked, turning around.
“Since never. But this was different,” Angel said.
“The only reason it was different is because you knew that I loved him and I still do but you cant handle it. You thought I would come running so I could see him. Well guess what? I did. As soon as Andrew told me, Dawn and I were on a plane here. You cannot keep Spike and me a part,” she said, making her way to Angel’s office.
Spike was sitting on Angel’s couch with Dawn in his lap when Buffy came in.
“Dawn, can I talk to Spike?” Buffy asked.
Dawn looked at Spike before easing out of his arms. “You cant hog him forever,” she said.
Buffy watched as Dawn went into the lobby and looked at Spike. She crossed her arms but stayed silent.
“Buffy, I know you’re upset,” Angel said, from the doorway.
Buffy spun around to face him. “No! You don’t have any idea what I feel! I told what happened and I loved him. You couldn’t even call me to tell me he was alive!” She flared, tears streaming down her face.
Spike stood up and watched the battle unfold. “Buffy…”
Buffy turned toward him. “Why didn’t you tell me?” She asked.
“I was scared,” Spike said, softly.
Buffy’s eyes softened. “Oh, Spike,” she whispered, going over to him.
She wrapped her arms around him and kissed him lightly.
Spike rested his hands on her waist and kissed her softly.
Buffy pulled away and smiled. “We can talk later,” she whispered.
Spike smiled and kissed her softly.
Angel shook his head with a smiled as they continued to kiss.
