Gillian Atkinson…Played by Elisabeth Sladen
Felicity Wyndam Pryce…Played by Joanna Frogatt
Beneca…Played by Eartha Kitt

Rupert Giles: After seven years of battling evil on the Sunnydale Hellmouth and being Buffy Summers Watcher he returns to England. He struggles to reform the now much needed Watchers Council and realises that although the Sunnydale Hellmouth was destroyed that doesn’t mean the world is free of demons. There is a lot of demonic activity in London. He discovers this upon his arrival there.

Andrew Wells: The former “Supervillain” was reformed and helped battle against The First Evil and destroy the Sunnydale Hellmouth. Afterwards he puts his knowledge of demonology to good use and joins the now feeble Watchers Council. After encountering Angel he travels to London with Giles.

Gillian Atkinson: An old friend of Rupert Giles. She was a Watcher and was fired from her job after lashing out at Quentin Travers over how the Slayer was treated. After the Council were destroyed she remained in London. When Giles returns she instantly joins forces with him and resumes her role as Watcher. Helping him and Andrew to reform the new and more modernised Watchers Council.

Felicity Wyndam Pryce: The niece of the now deceased Wesley Wyndam Pryce. She recently discovered she was a Slayer and the old Watchers Council and indeed The First Evil overlooked the fact that she ever had the potential to be one. She is on a constant quest to prove herself and fights in honour of her Uncle. She rather unwillingly joins forces with Giles and his reformed Watchers Council.

Beneca: A particularly vicious vampire. She’s over 500 years old and was presumed dead by many. She was sired by The Master and deserted him to follow a solo life of murder and destruction. When Giles arrives in London he discovers that she is still alive and he and his rapidly reforming Watchers Council fight against her.

The Start Of Episode.

EXT. OLD WATCHERS COUNCIL. (Night)

A white fog rolls across the opening shot of a decimated building. As we slowly begin to zoom (Similar to the way it does in “Halloween”) into the charred remains we see flashbacks superimposed over the shot. Flashbacks of ALL the scenes with the Watchers Council. The voices are distorted, distant and unearthly and the images are faded so we can still see the shot approaching the building. The flashbacks end with the explosion of the building from “Never Leave Me”. We then have a Close Up shot of a single red rose lying in the ashes. The camera turns and we see a figure standing over the remains. Rupert Giles.

ROLL CREDITS.

The Opening Credits introduces the various characters and actors who play them including Anthony Stewart Head, Tom Lenk, Elisabeth Sladen, Joanna Frogatt and Eartha Kitt. The theme tune suggests an old, classical feel to the show yet at the same time it blends with a Pink Floyd esque theme. The images show the various characters facing horrifying demonic forces and yet invoke a sense of realism.

END CREDITS.

EXT. STREET

A dark street winds past terraced houses. The thick white fog is present here too. Words superimpose across the shot London, England we hear a gentle sobbing coming through the gloom.
