As Dawn lay snuggled in her bed,
The covers wrapped around her head,
Dreaming of her bygone years,
And having tea with Britney Spears,
By her bedside did appear,
Tara’s ghost, so bright and clear,
*
Dawn woke up and rubbed her eyes,
Looked at her with great surprise,
And with practice, she did shout,
“Get out, get out, get out, get out!”
“I’ve lost something” said Tara’s ghost,
“Something I value more than most,
But what it is I can’t declare,
In Willow’s room? Perhaps it’s there?”
She floated gently through the gloom,
Down the hall to Willow’s room
And Dawn with a great nervous swallow,
Barefoot, creeping, gently followed,
*
“That’s it!” said Tara, “What I missed,
was simply Willow’s one last kiss!”
She kissed her softly on the lips,
Then to her restful peace did slip,
And Willow smiled within her sleep,
As Tara faded, dreaming deep,
And to the window Dawn did run,
To gleefully watch the morning sun,
Witnessing the sure rebirth,
Of friends no longer of this earth
