A new start
One year after the end of Sunnydale and she was back in the states, she been back for about sixes months she got board of Europe and wanted to come home. So she and Faith had change schools. Faith had gone to Rome and Buffy was now running the school in New York which worked out well because Willow and Kennedy were living in New York these days. She missed them she really missed all here friends when she was in Europe it had been fun at first but she miss having her fun little gossips will willow at there coffee place on the corner, she knew they had not done that in a long time even before the end of Sunnydale but she did miss it know they have time to do more stuff like that just “Buffy and will time.”
She missed Xander too but he still had the travel bug “lots of places to see and girls to find” he said. He loved it but he said he would come for Christmas so that will be good. Buffy thought
At The NYSS (New York Slayer School) they had put the girls in to three groups (red group, blue group, yellow group) 8 girls in each group they shared a dorm together and patrolled together so they became a team that worked well together you could almost say a little family.
Buffy did hand to hand training with the girls she wanted them to get to know the basics learn where their power comes from and how to use it so if any one said to them “Now that's everything, huh? No weapons... No friends... No hope. Take all that away... and what's left?” They could said “me”
Kennedy did weapons training with the girls she love it. All the weapons she gets to try and new moves, Weapons make fighting look cool and Kennedy liked that!
Willow did the book training with the girls not just demon research but history of the slayers and the crystals and how to cornet to their power, how to fully use it.
Monday morning at The NYSS Buffy walked into the office to get her time table so she knew what group she had today.
Buffy: Hey Will! What you up too?
Willow: Hey Buffy I am just checking the emails, hey there’s one from Xander
Buffy: What’s it say?
Willow: Oh…he’s…he’s got a girlfriend!
Buffy: He’s got what?
Willow: A girlfriend
Buffy: Well good for him…go Xander that’s what I say!
Willow: He said he really like her and thinking of asking her to come with him at Christmas
Buffy: That will be nice did he say how he met her?
Willow: Uh-…. yah!! She’s…..she’s a slayer
Buffy: A slayer!!!
Willow: Well you know Xander and slayers first it was you and then faith and now this girl and you know I think he had a thing for Kendra ….. He’s a slayer magnet
Buffy: Hey you know nothing happen between me and Xander
Willow: There was that one time you wanted him to undress you when you were not wearing anything but a coat!!
Buffy: THAT WAS A SPELL!!!!!!!
Willow: I know but I got you going…good for Xander he sounds happy
Buffy: He dose sound happy
Kennedy: Who sounds happy?
Willow: Xander he has a new girlfriend.
Kennedy: Well go xander!!!
Buffy: That’s what we said.
With that Buffy walk over and picked up her time table and left Willow and Kennedy talking as she went to get ready for her class.
She had the yellow group today which was good as they were her best group not that she would ever tell anyone that! But she liked them because they all work hard but had fun too. They real seemed to be friends!
Buffy: Good morning yellow group
The group: Morning Buffy
She made them call her Buffy because Ms Summers made her sound so old and she was no Giles.
Buffy: Ok well you all have been doing really well with your training so to day we are going to a little test!!!
June: a test... oh man!!
Buffy: Yeah! Sucks don’t it but it has to be done and you never know may even have fun!
Buffy put the girls into groups of two and talked them through what they were going to do. She would turn off the lights and one girl would be the attacker and the other the attaché.
Buffy watch the girls one by one studied the way the attacked how the fort back and how hard they were on each other. Buffy was happy with the group they didn’t go lightly on each other they really went for it.
Buffy watched the group as they were leaving class all happy and making plans to go out and party tonight as they all passed the test. Everyone was full of laughter all but one?
Buffy: Hey Joey can I talk to you for a minute
Joey: Yes Ms Summers
Buffy: I told you to call me Buffy not Ms Summers that makes me sound so old!!
Joey: Sorry and your so not old!!
Buffy: Well thank you I think you just made my day
They both laughed.
Buffy: So you can laugh then?
Joey: What?
Buffy: It’s just… well you never seem to look like you’re really her!
Joey: Ms Su… I mean Buffy is my work not good because I can try to work harder!
Buffy: God no!! your work is great I don’t think I know any one who puts in more than you and your really good great its just you don’t look happy I never see you laughing with the other girls or planning nights out!!
Joey: Oh… well its just…
Buffy: Just what? You can talk to me that’s what I am here for
Joey: I was not always this way I was Miss popular in high school I dated the captain of the football team went shopping with my friends!
Buffy: So what happened?
Joey: My mum… she got suck so I had to take care of her… I was all she had so I couldn’t go out and my friends got board and moved on
Buffy: And your boyfriend?
Joey: He said I was not paying him enough attention… he need more from me he said and I don’t have any more to give. So that was that.
Buffy: And after high school?
Joey: Well I got in to a couple of college… but mum was really sick so I didn’t go and then she died and a month later I stared the NYSS
Buffy: You know my mum died two years… I had to drop out off college and take care of her.
Joey: Really I am sorry!
Buffy: That’s ok but you what helped me? I had my friend to talk to you had know one that must have been so hard.
Joey: Yeah it was but I had to get though it… for her!!
Buffy: I know… But the slayer thing is going to be hard but you don’t have to do it alone… Trust me my friends are why I am still here… You need to try and let your group in they are really nice girls.
Joey: Yeah you’re right I will try… Maybe I will go out with them tonight as I did pass my test.
Buffy: That’s the way now go have fun!
Joey: Thanks Buffy
Buffy: Anytime
With that Joey left the class and went back to her dorm and Buffy packed up her stuff and headed home for the day.
Buffy got home to the apartment her and dawn lived in. she open the front door the place was quite.
Buffy: Dawn! Dawn are you home?
Dawn always got home from school before Buffy got home from the NYSS. Buffy walked in to the kitchen there was a note on the fridge

Gem was the first friend dawn made when they came to New York Buffy really liked her it was good to see dawn with friends of heir own she was happy!
Buffy called Willow as she know Kennedy was out on patrol she thought maybe Willow would like to come over or go out
Willow: Hello
Buffy: Hi Will
Willow: Hey Buffy what’s up!
Buffy: Dawns out for the night so wanted to see if you were up for going out or coming over tonight?
Willow: Yeah going out would be cool but not too late it’s a school night
Buffy: Yes mum!! Pick me up at 8:00pm
Willow: That be good... See you then
With that they hang up the phone. Buffy went to take a bath and get ready for tonight
Buffy and Willow were at The RSU Bar it was like the bronze they always went there. They were sat at a little table just talking and having a few drinks.
Willow: So how was your class today buff?
Buffy: Good they all passed and I had a good talk to Joey today
Willow: You did!!
Buffy: Yeah Will… Do you know that girl could be me?
Willow: You mean with her mum and everything!
Buffy: She told you?
Willow: No it’s in her file… Her mum died a month before she came here!
Buffy: Yeah she couldn’t go to college because she had to take care of her mum and her boyfriend dumped her because she was not paying enough attention to him
Willow: It must have been hard on her but you got throw it and so will she!!
Buffy: But I had you guys… her friend bailed on her because taking care of her mum took up all her time and now slaying is taking up all here time so I told here to try and let here group in… She needs some good friends
Willow: Well if she got you on here side she will be fine coz you’re the best friend a girl can have!!
Buffy: Thanks Will and I am sorry I have not been a good friend the past year or so….
Willow: STOP IT!! You have been a good friend maybe not the same way as in high school but I think saving the world and believing in me through good and bad that makes you a great friend and my best friend!
Buffy: I love you Will and from now on I hope we can get the fun back in our friendship like old time
Willow: I will drink to that!
They took a sip of there drinks and headed to the dance floor.
The next day at The NYSS Buffy was packing up after training with the red group when there was a knock on her class room door.
Tall man: Hello I am looking for Buffy Summers
Buffy: That me... I am Buffy Summers how can I help you
Tall man: Hi I am Dan fisher June’s older brother
Buffy: Oh hi Dan is there anything wrong?
Dan: Oh no… I just would like to ask you a favour
Buffy: I am all ears go a head
Dan: Well I know me sister is a slayer and that you have been training here and well I come here to ask if you can show me some things train me a little bit
Buffy: Why? Are you put out because she stronger then you and you want to feel better so you came here to learn to fight I am sorry but she will still kick your ass!!!
Dan: No you have me all wrong… I know she can kick my ass it’s just that she’s my little sister and if anything really bad happens then I want to be able to help… I can’t protect her but maybe I can help her… I have always looked out for here!
Buffy: Well if I train you this doesn’t mean you can go around trying to take on the big bad by yourself!!!!
Dan: I know I just want to help my not so little sis…. And I would pay you of course
Buffy: You would!!!! No I mean you don’t have to pay me. I will train you; you never know when we may need you
Dan: If you’re sure I mean I have the money
Buffy: I am sure I have Wednesdays free if that’s ok with you
Dan: I work until 4.30 but if that to late
Buffy: No that good means I have all day to my self so I will meet you here say 6:00 so you should have enough time to go home and do what ever you need to do
Dan: 6:00 will be great and thanks Buffy
Buffy: Your welcomes see you tomorrow
Dan: Bye
As Dan left Buffy sat and stared to thing about him what did he do for a living he was wearing a very nice suit, how came she had not seen him around before and why had June never said she had I older bother and how old was he 26, 27 he cant of been older then that she though then there was a knock on the door again
Dawn: who was the hottie?
Buffy: Hottie… Oh that was Dan one of the girls older bothers
Dawn: What did he want?
Buffy: Not that it’s any of your business but he ask me if I could do so training with him
Dawn: What he want training for
Buffy: Look Dawn I do have time to talk about this did you want something
Dawn: Just to tell you me and Gem are going to her place to study and I will be home late
Buffy: You and Gem have been studying a lot what’s up?
Dawn: College!! That’s what’s up I got to decide which ones to apply too.
Buffy: Is it that time all ready… That was so fast!
Dawn: Not fast enough!
Buffy: Well how come you never asked me to help?
Dawn: Well me and Gem thought we would get Willow to help use with the paper work side and when we go for the look around we thought we would ask you to come along gem thinks you help us find some college that’s cool
Buffy: That’s nice of gem but what about you
Dawn: I love Will but your better at finding the cool!
Buffy: Well thank you… Willows in the office if you need her
Dawn: Thanks see ya Buffy
Wednesday 5:45 Buffy at The NYSS Buffy went to her class room it was like a gym than a class she put out some extra maps on the floor she didn’t want Dan to get hurt and the she began her warm up
Dan walked up to Buffy class room and her saw her doing her warm up she look very pretty June had never told him how old Buffy was and never ever said how Hot! She was he thought to himself but she was June teacher and now his trainer and that’s all she was he told himself.
Dan: Hi
Buffy: Oh I Dan come on in
Dan: So were do we start
Buffy: Well with some warm ups and then I thought I would get you to do some basic exercise you know bit of running, some sit ups… Things like that so I can see how fit you are than I know how hard to push you.
Dan: sounds good to me
After the warm up Buffy watch as Dan did his running and sit ups etc she was impressed by how fit he was she could see he had I very solid body but just coz someone has the lumps and bumps in all the right places dose not always mean their fix but Dan was very fix this is going to be fun not to much holding back. Buffy thought to herself.
Buffy: Looking good do you work out a lot…uh that sounded like I pick up line I mean your healthy very healthy… in good shape!
Dan: I know what you mean Buffy and yes I do work out I go to the gym two are three times a week I like getting all hot and sweaty
Buffy: hot and sweaty!!!
Dan: I mean to say I like to work out!
Buffy: I know just playing with you… I like a good work out too… It makes me feel good.
Buffy: So hit me
Dan: What?
Buffy: Come on Dan go to hit me
Dan when to hit Buffy but she put him on his ass before he even knew what was happening.
Buffy and Dan spent the next two hour fighting Dan was a fast leaner and picked up the basics in no time.
Buffy: That was good and you’re a natural
Dan: Thanks it was fun and wow!!! I never knew people could move like that… You’re great!!
Buffy: Thank you… So same time next week... I think you’re ready for some weapon training too.
Dan: Sounds good to me… Do you need a ride home? I have my car.
Buffy: If you don’t mind that would be great.
Buffy and Dan driving home
Dan: So Buffy I hope you don’t mind me asking this but how old are you?
Buffy: You thought I would be older uh! I am 24. What about you?
Dan: I am 27
Buffy: So nice suit… nice car… What do you do for a living Dan?
Dan: I am a freelance accountant
Buffy: Oh!!
Dan: You thought I would be old… fat from sating at I desk all day… maybe even glass?
Buffy: Well yeah!!
Dan: See I work for myself…. So I pick the clients and I spend I lot of time out of the office going to see them… So keeps me fix!
Buffy: That’s sounds good
Dan: It’s not bad… I have some bid clients so my bank doesn’t mind that… And numbers is what I am good at.
Buffy: Well I say go with what your good at!
Dan: Which one is it?
Buffy: Oh that one over there with the green door
Dan: Well thanks again for to day I had fun!
Buffy: Well if you had fun!! Maybe I need to push you harder next week
Dan: Looking foreword to it
Buffy: You really don’t get out much!
Dan: Goodnight Buffy
Buffy: Goodnight Dan
Dan waited until Buffy had gone in side then drove home
Three months later and Buffy Dawn and Gem are looking round one of the college they had applied too.
Gem: Hey Dawn look over there 10 o’clock hottie or what?
Dawn: Total hottie!!!
Buffy: Dawn we’re here to see what the college has to offer as in studies
Gem: We are just seeing what great views the college has to offer!!
Both girls laughed
Dawn: Hey Buffy there a tour over there want to come?
Buffy: No you two go I am going to get so coffee I will meet you at that coffee place when you’re done
Gem: Are you sure Buffy
Buffy: Yes now go before you miss it
Buffy sat drinking here coffee she looked around this place will be good for dawn she should be looking at boys and all the other fun things people in college do but not too much fun this is costing enough so she better work hard too she thought to herself. Then she was thinking with Dawn starting college next month the apartment would be quite but it will soon be Christmas and then everyone would be there Dawn Willow Kennedy Xander Giles and that made Buffy smile.
Dawn: Hey Buffy it was so great I can’t wait to start!!
Buffy: That’s great but we have to get going I have training with Dan tonight
Dawn: Ok we’re good to go
The NYSS 8:00pm Buffy and Dan had just finished up there training for the night and were packing up
Dan: Hey Buffy!
Buffy: yeah
Dan: I was… well I want to know… I mean ask…
Buffy: Ask me what
Dan: To dinner… I wanted to ask you to dinner
Buffy: Like a date?
Dan: Man you don’t make this easy… Yes like a date!
Buffy: Well I…I would love too… Dinner would be good!
Dan: Really Buffy!! I mean how Friday
Buffy: Friday works for me say 7:30 pm
Dan: 7:30 it is
Buffy got to The NYSS half an hour early that morning she couldn’t wait to talk to Willow about Dan she need her help she could not believe she just said yes like take
Willow: Hey Buffy your early!
Buffy: I know I needed to talk to you Will
Willow: What’s up Buffy?
Buffy: Dan he… he asked me to dinner on Friday night
Willow: What you say?
Buffy: Yes!
Willow: You said yes!!!
Buffy: It’s bad… Really bad I should have said no… You think I should have said no
Willow: God no!! Saying yes is great… but
Buffy: But what?
Willow: It’s just… I can’t believe you said yes…. just like that… Buffy Summers saying yes to I guy… just like that… no fuss!!!!
Buffy: I know it shocked me to!
Friday Buffy was at home getting ready for here date. Dawn was out and Willow had just call to wish her luck! Buffy had not told anyone but Willow about her date she just wanted to keep it low key and see how it goes. As she was getting ready she thought to herself I am dating I am going on a date it had been a long time well there was that one with robin wood but she never liked him like that! But Dan well how could she not like Dan… Tall dark and hansom yeah that’s I killer.
The door bell ruing Buffy checked herself in the mirror gave herself a quick smile before opening the front door
Dan: Wow Buffy you look great!!
Buffy: Well thank you; you don’t look half bad ether … She smiled
They arrived at this nice little Thai place set back from the main streets it looked very nice Buffy thought.
Dan: Hope you like Thai food
Buffy: I love Thai food
Dan opened the door for Buffy
The host: Mr Fisher how are you tonight I have the best table in the house for you my friend
Wow best table in the house did Dan date a lot did he bring all this dates here. Buffy though.
The host: Come fellow me
Dan: Thank you
Buffy: You have been here before I take it?
Dan: Yes I bring most of my clients at lunch I love Thai the host love it coz they bring there clients next time I put a lot of business his way but I have never been here at night just thought I would take you same place I knew would be nice
Buffy: And that it is… Very nice!!
The meal had gone great they were on coffee and Buffy had been laughing at something Dan said
Dan: You look beautiful when you smile… Sorry I just had to say that!
Buffy: That’s ok thank you
Dan: So are you up for some drinks at The RSU Bar as it Saturday tomorrow?
Buffy: Why not… The nights still young and so are we!
Buffy and Dan were at The RSU Bar they were sat on one of the sofas
Dan: Dance with me?
Buffy: You dance… Most men hate to dance
Dan: I don’t love to dance… But I can see you do… So I want to dance with you!
Buffy: Well come on then!!
They were dance if you could call what Dan was doing dancing but Buffy thought it was nice of him to do it for her and he was not that bad really. Then a slow song came on Buffy look in to Dan’s eyes and took a deep breath and let herself go, as Dan pulled her in to his arms and the dance slow together Buffy put her head on his chest. She like the way he smelled and the feel of this big arms around her and right there and then she looked up in to his is eye’s and kissed him in the middle of the dance floor and Dan kissed her back .
On the other side of The RSU Bar the yellow group were there on a night out. Joey had really be come part of the group. The girls were out for some fun! June and Joey both had boyfriends now. Mark was Joey boyfriend and Keith was June’s the four of them were sat on one of the little table and the other girls went off to dance.
June: So Joey what’s the plan for tonight
Joey: I was thing lots of dancing… lots of making out… lots of fun
Keith: I am up for that!
Mark: me to!!
June: Yeah and we know what put you two are up for
With that said the girls started making out with their boyfriends
Then the other girls came back from the dance floor
The girls: Your never guess who we just saw making out with some hottie on the dance floor!!!
June: Who?
The girls: Buffy Summers!
Joey: Buffy!!!!!!!!
June: Let’s go see
Then girls walked over to the dance floor
Joey: Wow your right and who’s the hottie
June: He’s no hottie…he’s my brother!!!!!
June and Joey walked across the dance floor to where Buffy and Dan were still making out and June taped on Dan shoulder
Dan: June!!
Buffy: June!!!!
June: That’s me and you guys are so busted!!
Buffy: Let’s go over there and talk
Buffy and Dan sat on the sofa and June sat facing them they looked like a couple of kids being told of by there mum
June: Well
Dan: Its are fist date and we where going to tell you
Buffy: For sure we were going to tell you it’s just…
June look mad the turn to Joey and the to girls just couldn’t hold it back any more they just couldn’t help but laugh
June: I was just playing with you
The boy walked over to the girls
Mark: Hi baby you want to dance
He bent down and kissed Joey
June: Come guy lets all go dance
Dan and Buffy in the car out side Buffy’s place
Dan: I am sorry this is not how I wanted our first date to end
Buffy: What you mean
Dan: You know getting busted bye my little sister
Buffy: It could have been worst… We could have got busted bye my little sister
Dan: That what of been worst?
Buffy: Trust me… we got off easy…. wait until Dawn find out about us
Dan: Us…so there’s an us?
Buffy: Yes there’s an us…. I don’t going around kissing every guy I meet
With that Buffy moved over and gave Dan a kiss. A kiss he will be thanking about all night she hoped as she walked to the door and into her apartment.
Saturday morning Willow was sat in the coffee shop waiting for Buffy. Willow like her Saturday mornings with Buffy at their new coffee place just like old time. It has been nice having a bit off the old Buffy back with all the new slayer Buffy had more time for fun and Buffy like that and so did Willow
Buffy: Hey Will!!
Willow: Buffy hey I got your coffee for you
Buffy: Thanks will and sorry I am a bit late I slept in
Willow: Slept in whose bed?
Buffy: Willow!!!!!
Willow: What?
Buffy: I slept in my bed by myself ok!
Willow: Ok… So how was your date with Dan?
Buffy: Well………
Buffy told Willow all about the date how nice the food was how she really likes Dan, how she kissed him and even how they got busted.
It was the 21st December Buffy had put up the tree and had done all her Christmas shopping and was spending the evening rapping presents as Xander was flying in tomorrow and dawn was coming home from college and Giles flying in the next day has well so she wanted to get all this done before they got there. Buffy sat and watched the snow out side her window when there was a knock at the door
Buffy: Dan what you doing here
Dan: I was thinking of you and my feet kinda took over and I ended up here
Buffy: Come in and warm those feet
Dan and Buffy had been dating for about three months now he got on with everyone really well and Dawn thought he was cool even if she had only meet in a few times Dawn’s college was only a 20min bus ride a way but she did come home that much which Buffy got. She knows what it was like when you get to college and she had Dan and the school to keep her busy.
Buffy: This is nice just sat her with you on the sofa… With the sown outside… And the big fire inside… I like it!
Dan: Good I like it too… So what time Xander get her tomorrow?
Buffy: His flight gets in at 4:20pm
Dan: That’s good it will give you time to catch up… Before Dawn gets home
Buffy: That’s the plan… Dawn bus gets in at 9:00pm so lots of time… Dan what you doing for Christmas?
Dan: Me and June are doing to jersey tomorrow to see mum and dad before they go away for the holiday. Mum hates the cool so a week in Mexico. They leave on the 23rd then I am going to The NYSS Christmas Eve dinner. June wants to stay there for Christmas there like I big family I get that and it nice for her to have that.
Buffy: What about Christmas day?
Dan: MY place… TV dinner!
Buffy: No… Come to my place…. Everyone will be there Willow Kennedy Xander Dawn and Giles
Dan: Well if you don’t mind…. I would love to send Christmas with you and your friends
Buffy: There my family!!
Buffy put here had on Dan’s chest as closed her I eyes
About an hour later
Dan: Buffy…Buffy I have to go now
Buffy: Oh what…did I fall a sleep?
Dan: Yes you were out for about an hour
Buffy: I am sorry!!
Dan: That’s ok… But I have to go… Long day tomorrow
Buffy: Oh ok… but my bed is going to be cold with out you to night!
Dan: Don’t say that… You know how much I like your bed and the naked you that get in it
Buffy: I like naked you in my bed… but you should go long day tomorrow
Dan: You got an alarm clock right?
Buffy: Yes a very nice one… Wanta to try it out?
With that Buffy and Dan almost run up the stairs to bed
The next morning Buffy woke up to see a note on her pillow
Buffy
There is fresh coffee in the pot and I got bagels too
I hate to leave I want to stay in bed with you all day
With you in my arm I will be thinking of you all day

Hot sex coffee and bagels and a nice little love note god Dan great Buffy was thinking to herself as she took a shower and get ready for the day.
Buffy and Willow are at the airport waiting for Xander and his girlfriend Emma to get of the plane
Willow: Oh Buffy there… there he comes now
Buffy: Xander!!!
Xander: Buffy Willow!!!!
Willow: Hey
Xander: This is Emma…Emma this is willow
Willow: Hi
Xander: And this is Buffy
Buffy: Hey!
Emma: It is really nice to meet you both…. Xander has not stopped talking about you and also with the training I have leant a lot about you both!
Buffy: Wow then you must be over hearing about us
Emma: Oh no I mean that’s past stuff other people thinkings of you I would like hang out get to know we myself
Willow: Sounds good to me
Xander: So where are Dawnie and Kennedy?
Buffy: Her bus is not until 9:00 and Kennedy finishing up at the school but she should be home when we get there
So they all head back Buffy’s apartment it was bigger the Willow and Kennedy’s so Xander and Emma will stay there and Giles would stay with Willow and Kennedy
Back at Buffy’s apartment everyone was sat around talk and getting to know Emma she was a dark head woman but had ever blue eyes she was for England but it doesn’t stand out. She was easy to talk to and fell in with the group talks very naturally. You could how much she liked Xander she kept her arm linked in him and kinda cuddled up close to him the hold time it was cutie they looked happy together.
Buffy went in to the kitchen to get more drinks Xander followed
Xander: So what you think buff?
Buffy: She great Xander… You really look happy!
Xander: I really am Buffy… I never though I could be after Anya and I will never forget her she will always be in my heat… but its time now and I am happy!
Buffy: Good to hear it and maybe this girl will keep you in one place for a bit
Xander: Travel man is over I am Xander the boyfriend of a slayer man
Buffy: Your more than a slayer boyfriend and you know it… so what dose she fight like?
Xander: WILLOW I WIN!!!!
Willow comes running in to the kitchen
Willow: What she asked already!!! Here
Willow gives Xander $20
Buffy: WHAT?? You were taking bets that’s so unfair!!!!!!
Willow: Come on buff we knew you had to ask… But I would of given you until tomorrow
Buffy: I hate you two do you know that!!
And then all three of them burst in to laughter
Kennedy took Buffy to pick up dawn
Kennedy: So how’s Dan… what is he up to over he holidays?
Buffy: He’s good… He went to see his mum and dad today coz they sunning it up for Christmas… But he is back tomorrow
Kennedy: So you like him uh!!!!
Buffy: A lot… I have missed him all day… god I sound like a teenaged girl
Kennedy: you know what you sound like
Buffy just look at Kennedy and smiled
Dawn: Buffy!!!!

They hugged
Kennedy: How was your trip dawn?
Dawn: Not to bad
Buffy gets dawn bag for her
Buffy: Dawn that’s one big bag for a few days… Is it full of gifts for me?

Kennedy: The joys of college life!
Everyone was a Buffy’s place they picked up Giles two hours ago and went back to Buffy’s for food they were all sat a round the table. They were all well and truly full. Buffy looked around the room at her friends her family Willow and Kennedy they looked you happy Buffy never though she Willow this happy after Tara die and Xander he to lost his great love but his happy now. Giles is Mr boss man over in England he’s going good changing the rules making it better for all the new slayers and she could see it was making him happy and Dawn she had the whole college life going on and she loved it living away from home having her own friends. Not that she would every say but she like having Buffy not to far away and Buffy knew that. All Buffy wish was that Dan was here so her friends could she how happy she was. But they will soon it was Christmas Eve tomorrow and they were all going to the NYSS dinner and they would meet Dan there.
Giles: Well that was great…. I am well and truly stuffed… But I am getting tied now and think maybe we should head off…If that’s ok with you two?
Kennedy: Yes it is a bit late
Willow: Ok well we will see you tomorrow
Buffy/xander: bye!
Just has they left the phone ring
Dawn: Hello
Dan: I Dawn it Dan how are you?
Dawn: Hi Dan I am good I will go get Buffy
Dan: Thanks
Dawn: Buffy it’s Dan
Buffy goes in to the other room to take the call
Xander: So what’s this Dan guy like?
Dawn: He’s cool nice… Like just then if that had been Angel or Reilly they would have just said hi is Buffy there… But Dan he’s like hi Dawn how are you? Waits for a replay… Then asks for Buffy… He has his own business and I nice car… And most of all he make her happy
Xander: If she is happy…. Then he is in my good books… Until he dose anything that me think other wise
Emma: Xander always watching out four his friends… You’re so cute
Emma gave Xander a kiss.
Buffy in the other room on the phone
Buffy: Hello
Dan: Hi Buffy… How’s things did everyone get there ok?
Buffy: Yes we pick up Giles a couple hours ago… He just left think he wiped out from the trip… Talking of trips how did yours go?
Dan: Good but the diver back was a nightmare…. June just few a sleep I bet that girl could sleep anywhere!!
Buffy: So when you get back?
Dan: About 10 min ago… I just miss and wanted to call
Buffy: well I missed you too… You where only gone over night… two days without seeing you… And I turn into a teenage girl
Dan: I know what you mean
Buffy: You turn into a teenage girl too!!
Dan: Buffy you know what I mean… So do you want me to meet you at the NYSS tomorrow or do you need me to come pick you guys up
Buffy: Well we are all meeting here first… So I thought maybe you could come here so you could meet Xander and Giles before we all go to the NYSS
Dan: Sounds go to me…What time?
Buffy: Well dinners at 3:00pm so say 1:00pm
Dan: Ok well goodnight and sweet dream Buffy
Buffy: Goodnight thing of you!
Dan car pulls up out side Buffy’s place Dan sat in the car for I minute he was nerves Buffy had told him how Giles was like a farther to her and how Xander never like here last boyfriend but Xander was one of her best friends and Dan really wanted Xander to like him. Dan got out of the car and walk up to the door
Buffy open the door and few her arms around Dan gave him a quick kiss than took his hand and lead in the house to meet the others
Buffy: Dan this is Xander
Xander: Nice to meet you man
Dan: You to your kinda famous around here
Xander: famous really
Buffy: Stop it Dan your give him a big head… and this is Giles
Giles: Great to meet you… Buffy has told us a lot about you
Dan: Nice to meet you to Giles… How are thing in England going?
Giles: Very well…But it’s nice to have some time off
Willow: Well it’s the holidays… Now up for some snow ball fights
With that they all run out side and Giles stood at the window with a hot cup of coco and watched as Xander was getting sown balled by Emma and Dawn Willow and Buffy were trying to hide from Kennedy and Dan who had teamed up to get them
After dinner at the NYSS Buffy is showing Giles around the school
Buffy: And last but not lest this is my class room
Giles: Well Buffy I must say its great you have done really well.
Buffy: Thank you it’s not bad is it
Giles: How’s dawn with college life
Buffy: She loves it… I am glad she has here own little life now… But it would be nice to see her a bit more
Giles: I know… I remember when you were at college
Buffy: I know the joys of being a parent
Giles: Dan he seems I nice young man
Buffy: He is… And he really makes me happy… I can’t remember the last time I felt this happy
Giles: I am glad I really am Buffy… now we should be getting back
10:30pm Christmas Eve Willow Kennedy and Giles have just left and dawn is in her room on the phone Xander and Emma, Buffy and Dan are in the living room
Xander: So what is it Buffy… it big but I can’t hear anything moving in there
Buffy: Xander your worse than Dawn… Now put the gift back under the tree
Xander: Oh ok… so Dan wanta another beer?
Dan: Why not!
Xander: Ladies more wine?
Emma: Yes please
Buffy: Yes and so more nuts
Dan: Hey man I will give you a hand!
Dan and Xander go in to the kitchen
Buffy: So how thing at the school in England?
Emma: There good… They put me in charge of slayer allocation
Buffy: What’s that mean?
Emma: Well once the girls have gone through basic train… You know what a slayer is. That demon are real, were going to train you. That kinda thing! Then I place the in the different school.
Buffy: How do you decide who goes where?
Emma: On things like the langue they speck… How well they picked up skills in training and so on
Buffy: And do you still go to training?
Emma: Giles though I pick up the fighting skill fast… So I have a little less training than the other girls which gives me to do this… But I suck at book training so I have to work harder there.
Buffy: Books not really my thing… So I got myself a Willow!!
Both girls laughed and the guys came back with the drinks and nuts. They all stayed up talking until midnight
Xander: Well happy Christmas everyone… But I am to bed
Emma: Yes me to… Merry Christmas Buffy Dan and goodnight
Buffy: Merry Christmas and sleep well
Dan: Merry Christmas guys
Xander and Emma went up stair and Buffy was curled up on the couch with Dan
Dan: Well I have had fun to day… Your friends are great Buffy
Buffy: I know and they loved you… you were a hit!!
Dan: That’s good to know
Buffy snuggled in to Dan and without her knowing she said:
Buffy: I love you
Buffy looked shocked she could not believe those words just slipped out of her mouth
Dan sat her up and looked in to her eyes
Dan: I love you too… more than you know Buffy… I really do love you
She kissed him and took his hand and they walked up stair to bed
Christmas morning Dawn Xander and Emma are down stairs and Buffy and Dan are still in bed
Dan: Good morning
Buffy: Morning…What time is it?
Dan: It’s 9:45
Buffy: Wow… I didn’t mean to sleep that late… I think you wore me out last night
Dan: I wore you out…Miss Slayer strength
Buffy: I know that would come back and bite me in the ass
Dan: I think we should get up…Dawn got to be going made looking at the gifts under the tree… And not being able to open them
Buffy: It’s not Dawn I am worried about its Xander!!!
Buffy and Dan got dressed and when down stair just as they got there Willow Kennedy and Giles walk the door. They all went in to the living room and stared open presents once every one had open all there presents and they all had dinner and where sat in the living room Dan had one more gift for the gang
Dan: I have one more thing I would like to give you
Dan pull out five A4 size gifts handed one to Dawn Willow Xander Giles and Buffy they all sat there with them in their hand looking at Dan
Dan: Well go on open them
They opened the gifts in was a framed black and white picture of Giles Joyce Buffy dawn Xander and Willow
The group were in tears
Buffy: This was take the Christmas before she die
Giles: I remember
Dan: I hope it’s ok…I found it in Buffy class room so I thought you all like it
Xander: You done good man… you done go
Dan: Thank you Dan
Dawn gave Dan a hug as Buffy stood up and walked Dan into the other room
Dan: I didn’t mean to upset you
Buffy: Dan that was the best gift ever… it was so thoughtful
Dan: I love you Buffy Summers
Buffy: I love you Dan… I really do merry Christmas
They kissed and went back to the others everyone was sat in the living room just chatting and laughing with the lights shining on the tree and the open fire
