This poem started out in real life, but the longer I looked at it, the more it reminded me of Buffy in "Innocence." If anyone sees an implied use of character in the poem, I don't own the fictional people.
I stand frozen
in time
staring endlessly at
the corruption
of a face once beloved
Flashing back to times past
And knowing the
emptiness
of the future ahead
I am torn apart
as I yearn
as I loathe
I harden my heart
against him
against myself
because I know
"I did this."
