The latest hit song flooded their ears as the gang entered the Bronze.
"Xander, this place is so dead tonight, why do we have to be here?" Cordelia nagged. "Cordy do we have to go over this again, Buff needs some cheerin up."
Xander said putting a friendly arm around Buffy. "Whatever I'm going to dance, I can't be seen here with you anyway." Cordelia said as she made her way to the dance floor. " No wonder she can't keep a boyfriend for more than a week." Xander said coaxing a grin from Buffy. "I'm sorry you guys, I'm just not up for this tonight." Buffy said as the grin quickly vanished. "Buffy you've gotta have some fun and just get over him." Willow added. " I wish it was that simple Will, but I've still got Angelus to deal with." Buffy said as she sat down in a comfy chair. "Okay, but can we please, just for tonight, not mention his name." Willow asked."I'll try." Buffy said giving Willow what she wanted. " Well I'm gonna go get some drinks, Buff you want anything, its on me." Xander asked. " No I'm fine.""Ok suit yourself." He said walking to the bar.
Leaving Will and Buffy alone." Buffy I know how hard its been for you lately but you've go to let go , have some fun." Willow tryed to console her best friend." Will, I just can't get him out of my mind, anytime I start to let my gaurd down there he is, and I can't let anything happen to you guys." Buffy said wanting to get off the supject of Angelus. Just his name made her shiver." I know , but just try," Willow said just as Xander reached the table, drinks in hand. As Buffy stared out over the dance floor she felt that fimilar feeling, a vamp was around." Ohh no , I know that face, Buffy can we just put your calling on hold tonight?" Xander said annoyed. "Afraid I can't do that." Buffy said spotting the vamp leaving with a girl, with what looked like Cordy.
"I'll be right back." Buffy said leaving the table.

" So Chad, wheres your car?" Cordelia asked feeling worried. "What car babe." the vamp said kissing her neck. " Ok, this is geting a little wierd I'm going back inside." Cordelia said trying to pull away." I don't think so ." He said changing into his true face , slaming her into the wall. "No, Please don't hurt me." Cordelia pleaded as the vamp advanced toward her neck. She closed her eyes thinking this was the end
" Why don't you pick on someone your own size," Buffy asked as she approuched the scene. " Don't mind if I do slayer." the vamp said turning his attention toward Buffy. He lunged at her leaving his chest open. The fight was over quicly as his body exploaded into dust at Buffy's feet."Cordy are you alright?" Buffy asked. " Yea Im fine." Cordy said picking herself up off the ground." Oh, tell Will I'm going to have to take a rain check on 'fun'." Buffy said turing away. " Buffy wait," Cordy said geting Buffys attention. " Thanks."
Buffy smiled realizing this was the first time Cordelia had ever thanked her. But she couldn't dwell on it for long, because tonight she was going to end this, Angelus was going to die.

He'd been watching her since she entered the Bronze. He could see she wasen't at her best. He smiled to himself, he was finally taking a toll on her. That had been his plan from the beginning, to wear her down until she begged for death. He couldn't wait until she was his.
He followed her through town until she reached the graveyard, his favorite place.He could hear the rythem of her heart beat in his ears. Her blood called out to him.
He watched as she faught with grace and ease but she was gettin slopy letting the vamp get in a few puches. He decided it was best he lend a hand.

She walked the streets searching for him for nearly an hour. She decided she's visit the graveyard. The cemetary seemed to be empty. It was so quiet she could hear the crunch of autum leaves under her feet. Suddenly she heard a sound not her own.
Something was moving in the shadows.She expected it to be Angelus but to no avail, just your normal everyday vamp. He moved quickly gettin in a few punches to her head. She knew she could do better, but something was holding her back. In some place deep within her soul she wanted to give up, just let the vamp kill her, then all her troubles would be over. The vamp sent one final blow to her head that sent Buffy to the ground. Her head ached, when she opened her eyes she found herself pinned to the ground, the vamp on top of her. She didn't try to free herself she just closed her eyes. She could feel the vamp just inches away from her neck.She turned her head and welcomed him. She could feel his sharp fangs brush across her skin.
But he was stopped short. Turning to dust on top of her. Althought her vision was still hazy from the beating she caught a glimps of her savior, Angelus. He was truly the last person she'd ever expect to save her.
"Get up love" he said pulling her from the ground. She could hear the evil in his voice."Why'd you do it, why didn't you just let him." Buffy said stumbling away from Angelus her head still pounding. He managed to grab her just before she hit the ground, her vision englufed in black."Because your mine." He said with a smile cradling Buffy in his arms. " All mine." he said.
His evil chuckling echoing in the night air. He'd finally gotten what he wanted, she had given herself over to him.
