Summary: Darla reflects on herself and Cordelia in two hundred words.
Lying on an old mattress with stiff covers, sipping blood that doesn’t remember its own vitality. Tired and aching and bored, need to get out but there’s no where to go. Never stopped her before, but she was never like this before. Never had a life that shouldn’t exist clawing at her stomach and fucking with her head.
Staring at the door, and she sees a face through the crack, trying not to watch too blatantly, failing. Darla knew the girl wouldn’t be able to stay away for long.
Brown eyes widen when they’re met. She's always liked brown eyes; dark and rich like everything she'd always wanted in life and never gotten. She can see fear, and anger, but the concern is what irritates her the most. The pity she’d had her fill of long ago when she still knew her godforsaken name.
She wants to taste her again, tear open the wound and take her fill. Pain and defiance and courage with the tang of potential slaughter.
Typical that he’d find a seer. Brunette, too, and she can’t deny that the girl is pretty; doesn’t want to, really. They always find the pretty ones.
