Buffy The Vampire Slayer > BTVS - Season Two
Blood Rose by Elf
[Reviews - 0]

Angelus was thoughtful. He sat alone in a dark corner of the factory planning, thinking and fantasizing. About her. The Slayer. Buffy Anne Summers, the young woman his choirboy alter- ego loved. The young woman that Angelus wanted to corrupt. He didn't want to make her insane, no, he had found that out in the first few moments of trying to drive her insane. He wanted an equal, a partner in all dark things. A perfect lover.

He wouldn't tell anyone that one night that had freed him still haunted him. Not in the disgust of sleeping with a Slayer, but felling her underneath him, giving it her all, and wanting all of him in return. He didn't want the Slayer. He wanted Buffy. But, that wasn't going to happen, besides, he had an image to restore, and he couldn't do that. Unless some strange twist of fate happened.

Buffy Anne Summers looked at the bright, sunny day with a piercing sadness. She got up from her bed and got dressed. He was out there, he had probably had slaughtered some poor young girl last night, and there was nothing she could do. Yet.
She walked down stairs and her heart caught when she saw her mother down in the kitchen. Joyce Summers smiled brightly at her, and Buffy could only attempt a sad half smile. Joyce had known something was wrong with her on her seventeenth birthday, but didn't ask.

She walked over to her mother and hugged her tightly. Joyce held her back, just as tight, in surprise at her daughter's sudden display of affection. She asked, "Is something wrong, Honey?"

Buffy bit back tears as she inhaled her mother's hair, catching its scent for, perhaps, the last time. She answered, "No, Mom, I'm okay. Just glad to see you, that's all."

Joyce pulled away and asked, "I've got breakfast ready. You want some?"

Buffy shook her head and smiled gently. She answered, "No Mom, I've gotta to go to school."

"Good bye then," Joyce told her cheerfuly.

"Bye Mom," Buffy replied sadly as she exited her house.

Willow Rosenberg watched as Buffy made it down the quad. Oz tightly held her hand as she worrily watched the small, blonde girl make her way towards them. Ever since Angel had turned, Buffy wasn't the same. She rarely smiled, and when she did, it was touched with sadness.
Buffy walked over to Willow and hugged her. Surprised, Willow hugged her back. She asked, "Everything okay, Buffy?"

Buffy sadly smiled and answered, "It will be."

Willow hugged her friend tight. Oz watched them respectfully. She knew what Buffy meant. She was going to kill Angelus. She had finally found the strength to do it. It was going to be rough on her friend, but Willow hoped that Buffy would pull through it.

With Buffy saying, "Bye Willow. Oz. I'm gonna go see Giles." With that, she left to the library.

Buffy had snuck out of class. She was heading home. Her mother was at work, and the house was empty. Good, because she needed to get ready. She just hoped that she could pull this off.

Angelus was board, and if Sit-And-Spin was going to ask him one more time if he was going to kill the Slayer, Angelus was going to stake his blood chylde. Drusilla was humming distantly as she walked around Spike's wheelchair. Watching Dru, Angelus knew that he did not want to drive Buffy into something like this. No fire, no intelligence, no common sense, and no creativity.
Dru froze and started to moan. She looked out into the things that she could only see. Spike asked, "What is it Pet?"

"She's given up. No more fighting. She's coming right now," she distantly answered.

"Buffy?" Angelus asked hopefully, and regretted it as Spike glared at him.

Dru nodded and smiled. "She doesn't want to hurt any more. Poor girl, she crumbled before I did."

Spike snorted and asked, "So, what are you going to do with the bloody chit, if she comes?"

Angelus didn't know the answer to that. Then, the door opened, and the minions scattered from the bright sunlight. Buffy walked into the room, shutting the door behind her. Angelus watched her with a combination of lust and interest as she strode over to them.

Dru took Spike and said, "We will leave you alone, Pet. Come doggies and luv." With that, Dru, Spike and the minions left Slayer and Vampire alone. Buffy walked up to him and he watched her.

She had gotten ready, taken more care in her appearance than she usually did, and wearing reminders of his alter-ego. She was wearing a short, low-cut, burgundy slip dress, showing off her legs perfectly. She was a little thing, but she had great legs. She was also wearing the leather jacket he had given to her, as well as the cross, and the Claddagh ring he had given her on that fateful night. He looked down on his left hand; he had never taken off his ring. He just noticed that.

She said, "I'm tired Angel." She sounded tired as well. Angelus grinned. He wanted to see what she was going to offer, and if he was going to take it.

"Sounds like you haven't been sleeping well," he replied, his tone purposely mocking.

Her green eyes were almost glowing like lit coals when she glared at him. He wanted to kiss that look off of her face, and have her begging to have him. She said, "Well, I wonder why."

"Touche', Buffy. I see where you are coming from," he said with a lopsided grin. Her expression wavered. He asked her, "So, Buffy, why are you here? You actually think you can kill me?"

She shook her head and looked down at her hands. She twisted her ring nervously on her finger. She looked up at him and told him, "I've come to make a deal, Angel. You listening?"

"I'm interested," he told her in an amused voice.

She sighed. This was obviously hard for her. He was enjoying every minute of it. She told him, "If you leave Giles, Mom, Willow, Cordelia, Oz, Xander, and Ms. Calender alone you get me. No strings attached, I won't fight. You can kill me. It'll be over, and you won. I can't take this any more."

"So," Angelus drawled, making Buffy flinch, "If I leave your little friends and your Watcher alone, I get you with no strings attached. I've won."

She nodded and said, "Yeah, if you take the offer. If you don't, we'll forget that I ever asked this question."

Angelus smiled. She shrank back, but still held her ground. He looked at her from her upswept hair to her heeled feet. She looked so open and vulnerable right now. And she was his to do as he wished. He moved so that they were so close that they were almost touching. He could smell her fear, and her desire. Soul Boy maybe gone, but she still wanted this body and this face.

"No strings attached, you're mine to do what I want?" he queried of her. She nodded. Then, to catch her completely off guard, he bent down to her and kissed her.

She didn't respond. She let him kiss her, but she didn't respond to it. What was the use of having a wooden doll, when he could have a corpse in the next room? He wanted her responsive and willing, not an emotionless thing. So, he had some work he had to do.

It caught Buffy completely off guard when Angelus kissed her. She didn't respond. She wasn't going to let the sadistic bastard have that satisfaction. Then, very carefully, treating her as she might break, he took her in his arms. It was like Angel holding her once more.
Angel always acted if he was afraid to hurt her, even though she was the Slayer. He was always so careful with her, always keeping himself in check when they got close. The night they made love was no exception. She had to coax him to let himself love her. But, still, he kept himself in check, making sure he didn't hurt her, asking if he didn't hurt her, and then every touch and movement being so gentle that it made her want to cry. Exspecaly with this monster who was mocking his tenderness.

Then, Angelus' hands started to roam up her body, the caress sentual and searing. Intentonaly. She shivered beneath his cold hands. She could feel the leather of his pants pressed up agenst her as he caressed her. He undid the clasps to her hair, letting it fall about her shoulders. She looked up at him. He even seemed taller and bigger now that he lost his soul. Confidence and wickedness had replaced sadness and tenderness.

He was dangerous. He radeated that like a beacon. But, somewhere in her, that danger was calling for her. If this was to be her end, then why shouldn't she have this last chance? She responded to his kisses. Boldly, she moved her mouth away from his and lightly traced down to his Adam's apple and nipped it.

She gripped his broad shoulders and he held her around her waist and hips. He kept kissing her, the kisses growing with hunger and need. He wanted her more than she wanted him. He started to back her into a room in the factory. A bedroom.

He had gotten what he wanted, and it was incredible. He knew what he was going to do now. He may not be able to kill her family and friends, but she never said anything about her. Spending an eternity with her forever young and beautiful was defiantly appealing.
She looked up at him with wide green eyes. Her body was still trembling with realise as she watched him. He smiled at her and said, "Thank you." Her eyes widened. She was expecting her death. Well, she was going to die, but she was going to come back.

He felt his face morph and then he buried his fangs into her neck. She gasped out as she clutched at him. Her blood was rich and sweet. He almost wanted to drain her slowly, but he didn't want to cause her that pain. He took all that he needed to change her. With that, he pulled away from her weak form.

He grabbed a razor from his night stand and cut his chest. Then, he lowered himself so she could drink. He had won, and they had both gotten what they wanted. He held her tightly as she drank, initiating her into eternal night.

Rupert Giles and the others were worried sick. They had been searching for Buffy since second period. She had been acting strangely. Giles prayed that she didn't go after Angelus without any warning.
He rounded the corner of the graveyard, seeing a young, small woman with golden blond hair. It was Buffy. He would recognize those impractical high-heels and that black leather jacket anywhere. He ran over to her and turned her body over.

Her skin was pale, indicating that she had been drained of blood. Then, there were the tattle tail bite marks on her throat. He felt tears rundown unbidden down his face. He was going to kill the fiend who did this.

"Hello Rupert," Angelus' mocking voice greeted him. Giles turned around and pointed his crossbow at the fiend that had once been their friend. He knew his profile, but he could be rather crafty and unpredictable.

Angelus smiled at Giles. The Watcher was a wreak. Seeing his charge dead like that had probably broken him. Seeing his charge rise up from the dead was going to kill him, literally.
"You sick, sadistic bastard, I'll kill you for this," Giles snapped at him.

Angelus smiled and replied, "Um, Rupert, don't wanna be a spoil sport, but look behind you."

"Do you think I would believe that idiotic excuse?" Giles snarled.

"Not really, but, you know, I'm hungry," Buffy said from behind him. Angelus watched Giles' registered shock as Buffy stood up, her yellow eyes and fangs gleaming in the dim light.

"You know what to do," Angelus told her.

Buffy smiled and rolled her eyes as she reached out for Giles. She had him drained in a matter of moments. His body hit the grass with a wet thud. Buffy said, "He was a little bitter."

She walked over to him. Angelus took his lover's hand and looked down at her handiwork. He told her, "Well, we have the rest of Sunnyhell and the world to play with."

"Yeah, I know, but lets go bite Xander," she said wickedly. Angelus had to smile. Everything had fallen into place.
