BANG! It was Fred’s face. BANG! It was Wesley. BANG! Anyone who’d died in this horrible mess – BANG! BANG! BANG! Lyndsey. He held the image, kept it nice and fresh in his mind. Saw his hand. Felt the gun. He stumbled over a branch and skidded in the mud. Five hundred dollar shoes ruined. He laughed – at least something was left of his old self. The familiar building loomed before him. Soon, he would begin his painful journey into absolution. His punishment would start here. Inhaling deeply, he opened the door and hollered, “Hey Ma, look who’s come home!”
