Buffy The Vampire Slayer > BTVS - Season Six
Please Dont Leave by Spikes Queen
[Reviews - 1]

Spike walked into Buffy’s house and gently shut the door. He took off his duster and slung it over the railing. He began ascending the stairs when he heard Buffy scream.

“No, please, please, stop!”

He ran up the stairs and followed her cries to the bathroom. “Buffy!” He yelled, opening the door.

Riley was on top of her trying to get her bathrobe off.

“Spike,” Buffy whimpered.

Spike’s demon came forth and attacked Riley. He ignored the pain from his chip and threw Riley into the hallway, knocking him out. He went back into the bathroom. “Buffy,” he said, softly, sitting beside her on the floor.

Gently he lifted her into his lap and held her tightly.

Buffy was shaking violently as she latched on to him. “I couldn’t… he was too strong,” she whispered.

Spike cradled her close to him. “Shhh. It’s okay. Nobody’s gunna hurt you,” he said, kissing her hair.

Tears welled in Buffy’s eyes and she buried her face in his neck.

“Buffy!” Came Xander’s voice. “I found Warren. Well, actually my face found him.” He paused seeing Spikes coat and snatched it before going upstairs. Spike and Buffy ignored him as he came into the bathroom. “You call this not seeing Spike anymore?” He flared and paused at the two of them on the floor. “What’s going on?”

Buffy opened her eyes and looked up at Xander. “Riley attacked me and Spike stopped him,” she whispered.

“So you what? Decided that being snuggled in his arms was okay?” Xander asked.

“Yes,” Buffy said, as Spike’s arms tightened around her.

Spike’s hand moved up and down her back and his kissed her hair softly.

Xander crossed his arms as Willow came in. “Hey, we may have found something,” she said, then looked at Buffy and Spike. “What’s going on?”

“Still trying to figure that out,’’ Xander said.

“We’ll worry about it later,” Buffy said, sitting up in Spike’s lap. “What do you got?”

Downstairs, Buffy sat at the dining table with Spike standing behind her. “I cant do all these at once,” Buffy said, skimming through the encrypted blue prints.

“I think there’s one they may hit tomorrow,” Willow said.

“Be careful though Buffy,” Xander
said. “Warrens gone all mighty mouse. Emphasis on the might.”

Buffy stood up and ran a hand over her face. “Then we’ll deal with it tomorrow. What are we gunna do with Riley?”

“What did he do?” Willow asked.

“He tried to rape me,” Buffy said, softly.

Spike rested his hand on the small of her back to lend his support.

Buffy relaxed a little. “Spike didn’t let him though,” she said, looking at him. “Can I talk to you outside?”

Spike nodded and followed her to the back porch.

Buffy sat on the step and Spike sat next to her. “Did he hurt you?” He asked, softly.

Buffy shook her head. “Just a few bruises. Why did you come here tonight?” She asked,
looking at him.

“I was mainly coming to say goodbye to the Nibblet,” Spike said, softly.

“Why?” She asked.

“’Cause I’m leaving tonight,” he said, not looking at her.

“What?” Buffy whispered. “You cant leave.”

Spike’s heart began to break into a million pieces. “Buffy….”

Buffy stood up and went to the middle of
the yard. “Spike, I know things are tense between us but…” She turned and looked at him with tear filled eyes. “Please don’t leave,” she whispered.

Spike stood up and went toward her. “Why? You don’t want…”

Buffy put a finger over his lips. “I don’t want you to leave. I wont be able to handle it if you left. I need you,” she said, softly.

Spike moved away from her. “Buffy, I’m sorry for everything I’ve done but I can’t stay,” he said, going toward the house. “I love you, Buffy.”

Tears flooded down Buffy’s face as he went inside.

Spike made his way up to Dawn’s room and found her awake. “Nibblet?”

Dawn smiled. “Hey, what are you doing here?” She asked.

“I came to say goodbye,” he said.

Dawn’s smiled faded. “What?”

“I’m leaving town,” he said.

“Why?” Dawn asked. “Because of Buffy?”

“Yeah. It hurts too much and it’s better this way. I just wanted you to know that I wasn’t abandoning you,” he said, going toward her.

“But I need you,” Dawn whimpered, tears falling down her face.

“I know. I’ll write to you,” he said, running a hand over her hair.

Dawn wrapped her arms his waist. “I love you,” she whispered.

“I love you too,” he said, hugging her tightly.

“Will you come back?” She asked.

“Always,” he said, kissing her hair.

Dawn reluctantly let him go before
collapsing on her bed sobbing.

Spike made his way downstairs, tears in his eyes.

“Spike?” Came Tara’s voice.

Spike looked at her. “You might have to go check on Dawn in a little while,” he said.

“What happened? Is she okay?” Tara
asked.

“I told her I’m leaving and she was pretty upset,” he said.

“Why are you leaving?” She asked.

“It hurts to be around Buffy and its better this way,” he said.

Tara smiled. “I understand,” she said, giving him a hug. “Take care of yourself.”

Spike kissed her forehead. “Take care of Red. She needs you.”

The back door crashed open. “Spike!” Came Buffy’s voice as she ran into the foyer. “Don’t leave.”

Spike just looked at her with the saddest expression she’s ever seen. “Please don’t make this harder,” he whispered.

Willow and Xander stood up at the commotion and watched the scene unfold.

Tears were still streaming down her face. “Spike, please,” she whimpered. “I need you.”

Spike crossed his arms. “No you don’t. Not anymore,” he said.

Tara went over to Buffy. “Just let him go,” she said.

“I cant,” Buffy whispered.

“Why?” Spike asked.

“Why couldn’t you let me turn myself in?” Buffy asked.

“Because I love you and it was an
accident,” he said.

“Exactly,” Buffy said. “I love you and I can’t lose you,” she said, going toward him.

Spike back away from her as she came closer. “Don’t say that,” he said.

“Why?” Buffy asked, halting in her tracks.

“Because you’re only saying that so I wont leave. If I stay you’re gunna start using me again. I cant do it again. Not to you,” Spike said.

“I’m not saying it just to make you stay. I’m saying it because I mean it. God, Spike, I love you so much it hurts. I don’t think I can live without you,” she whispered.

“We’ll you’re gunna have to try,” he said, going to the door.

“Spike, please,” Buffy whimpered, going after him.

Spike walked out of the house and closed her door. His own tears were streaming down his face as he walked down the steps.

The door opened and Buffy watched as he walked down her walkway. “Spike!” She screamed. She collapsed to her knees in the doorway and sobbed uncontrollably. “Spike, please,” she whispered. She laid in the door wand and tugged her knees to her chest. “Please, don’t leave me,” she whispered.

Dawn was at the top of the stairs and came down to her sister. She looked out the door and swallowed her tear at Spike’s retreating back. “Buffy, get up,” she said.

“Spike!” Buffy screamed into the night.

Spike paused on the sidewalk and looked up at the sky. “Please let me know if I should stay,” he asked.

Buffy stood up and looked at him. “Spike,” she whispered.

Spike’s vamp hearing picked up Buffy’s
whispers and pleads loud and clear. He turned and looked at her and his resolve broke. He ran back up to house and tackled Buffy to the floor. He rolled them over and held Buffy to him.

Buffy arms went around his neck and she kissed him softly. “I love you,” she said, tears still making their way down her face.

“I love you too, Buffy,” he said, tears sliding
down his face as well.

Tara shut the door and put an arm around Dawn. “You okay?”

Dawn gave her a watery smile. “Yeah. We should leave them alone,” she said, going upstairs.

Buffy wasn’t aware of anyone around them except Spike and his arms holding her. “Never leave me,” she whispered.

Spike hold her closer. “I wont,” he said, kissing her softly. “Promise.”
