“Come on. You could have stopped that.” Xander shouted at the TV. It had been about two or three years since the battle and Spike had made it. Of course this isn’t about that it’s about something very much important. It was that time of year again where even if you’re not big into the sport or you’ve barely watched the game you gathered around the TV to watch the Super Bowl. This year it was Steelers vs. Seahawks and just about everyone in the Summers household was going Seahawks, except for Xander.
“No he couldn’t have. Now looks like we’re the first ones to score so be quiet Xander.” Buffy said. The Seahawks had just scored a touchdown and the score was 3-0 with Seahawks in the lead.
“Is everyone against me in this house?” Xander asked looking a little exasperated.
“No, I think Spike here isn’t.” Buffy said smiling.
“Spike, you rooting for the Steelers?” Xander asked the bleached blond guy sitting on the couch.
“Nope, not rooting for any of them. Just watching it for the half time show. Hear the Stones are playing and I sorta liked them. Plus he’s for Manchester United, you can’t go wrong with that.” Spike said. About ten minutes after they had that conversation the Steelers scored and it went downhill from there other than one score made by Seahawks making the final score 10-21 with the Steelers winning. Xander did a little victory dance while everybody else just glared at him.
"What? The Steelers are the best and you can't say nothing about them." Xander said grinning from ear to ear.
"I'm not even for any of those teams and I say you stop it now, Harris, or my teeth will be in your neck faster than you can count." Spike said glaring at him.
"Spike, that threat ain't gonna work anymore, due to the fact that you're human." Xander said smiling a little. Spike was about to say something but decided against it and slouched back onto the couch. It was final Steelers won and there was no going back so everyone just decided upon congratulating Xander, well other than Spike who was sulking and didn't feel like being nice to Xander.
