Buffy walked into Spike’s crypt with tears running down her face. She walked to the lower level and saw Dawn tending to his face.
“She’s a bitch,” Dawn said, applying antiseptic to his forehead.
“Language, Nibblet. And no she’s not,” Spike said, wincing.
“She had no right to do this. She’s lucky you love you so much,” she said, applying the bandage.
“Yeah, I know,” Spike said, smiling up at her. “You better get home before you get in trouble.”
“You don’t need anything?” Dawn asked, picking up all the cleaning stuff.
“No, I’m good. I just need to gave something to eat and a good nights rest,” he said, running a hand over her hair.
“K,” Dawn said, smiling. “I’ll stop by tomorrow after school,” she said, giving him a quick
hug.
Buffy decided to come forward. “Dawn?”
Dawn and Spike both looked at Buffy. “What do you want?” Dawn asked, harshly.
Buffy flinched at her tone. “I need to talk to Spike,” she said, walking closer.
As she came into the light, Spike noticed her swollen eyes.
“You’re not gunna hit him are you?” Dawn asked.
“No,” Buffy said. “I just need to talk to him.”
Dawn looked at Spike, who nodded. She sighed and scowled at Buffy as she left the crypt.
Buffy waited until she heard the door close. “Spike..”
“Don’t,” Spike said, flopping on the bed.
Buffy slid her jacket off and went over to him. She stood between his legs, which were still hanging over the side of the bed. She leaned over him, trying to be careful. She put her hands on the side of his face. “Spike, please,” she whispered.
Spike opened his eyes and looked up at her. “What?” He asked, gently.
“I’m sorry,” she whispered, climbing on to the bed and straddling his hips. “I’m so sorry.”
Spike sat up and wrapped his arms around her waist. “Don’t worry about it. I’m not mad at you,” he said, kissing her neck.
Buffy’s tears increased. “God, I’m so sorry,” she whimpered, threading her fingers through his hair.
Spike brought his hand up to the base of her neck. He pulled back a little and kissed her forehead. “Shhh. Pet, don’t cry.” He kissed her forehead again and her eyelids, then her cheeks and finally her lips.
Buffy sniffled and kissed him back softly. She gently leaned forward, pushing him on to the mattress.
Spike felt the soft mattress underneath and Buffy’s body on top of him. He moaned into her mouth and she rubbed against him.
Buffy pulled away slightly. “Spike,” she whispered.
Spike hands went underneath her shirt and the dance began again.
Several hours later, Spike collapsed on Buffy, spent.
Buffy wrapped her arms around his shoulders and stroked his hair. She wasn’t gunna leave this time, she was gunna stay in his arms, for once.
Spike slipped out of her, both whimpering at the loss. He went to roll of her, but she held him tightly. “Don’t’ want you to move,” she said, sleepily.
“What about Dawn?” Spike asked.
“Don’t worry about it for tonight. Tomorrow I’ll tell them everything. Tonight, I’m yours,” she said, running her hands all over his back.
Spike raised and eyebrow. “Why the sudden change?” He asked.
“I realized a few things after talking to Tara,” she said. “But I promise I’ll explain everything tomorrow.”
Spike kissed her skin. “Get some sleep, Pet,” he said.
“K,” she mumbled, her eyes falling closed.
Moments later, both vampire and slayer
were asleep.
When Spike woke a few hours later, Buffy was still sleeping below him. Carefully, he slipped off of her and slid next to her.
Buffy unconsciously rolled toward him and mumbled incoherently.
Spike pulled her into his arms and kissed her forehead tenderly before going back to sleep.
When Buffy woke a few hours later, she sighed happily.
Spike was running over her skin, drawing lazy patterns.
“Spike,” she mumbled.
“Hm?” He answered.
“We gotta get to my place,” she said, slipping from bed.
Spike sighed and stood. “Here we go again.”
Buffy turned and looked at him. “No, Spike, it’s not like that,” she said, going over to him and pulling his lips down to hers. She leaned her forehead against his, not caring that she was naked. “I don’t wanna hide anymore. I’m really bad a keeping secrets and I’d rather tell my friends then have them catch us in the cemetery,” she said, running her hands over his face.
Spike leaned into her touch. “You don’t have to, you know,” he whispered.
“Yeah, I do. It’s not fair to you or anyone else. Now get dressed before we end up back in bed,” she said.
They both pulled on their clothes and headed to Buffy’s house.
They walked in the door hand-in-hand.
Willow came out of the kitchen. “Hey guys. What’s with the hand holding?” She asked.
Buffy smiled. “Spike and I have been seeing each other and I thought you guys might wanna know,” she said.
“Wanna know what?” Dawn asked, coming in with Xander and Anya.
“I’ve been seeing Spike,” Buffy said.
“Since when?” Xander asked, as Dawn beamed into a smile.
“The singing demon,” Buffy answered. “I haven’t been quite myself so Spike’s been taking care of me and helping me deal with things.”
Willow smiled. “I’m glad you guys are happy,” she said.
Over the next hour, Buffy fought a little with Xander but he finally gave him and accepted it before leaving with Anya.
Buffy sighed and closed the door. “I’m tired,” she mumbled. “Lets go to bed.”
Spike followed Buffy to her room. “You sure, Pet?”
Buffy rolled her eyes good naturally. “Spike, I’m tired. I just want you to hold me so I can get some sleep.”
Buffy and Spike, climbed into bed and Spike spooned against Buffy’s back. “Goodnight Pet,” he whispered.
“Goodnight Spike. Love you,” she mumbled before drifting off.
“Love you too, Buffy,” he said, kissing her hair before falling asleep himself.
