The demon laughs,
for it knows it will stay.
As cries rip through the night,
And darkness wins the fight,
And slayers tears and companions fears,
Slowly are brought to light.
And the demon smiles,
It's won the trial,
It's laughter rings in my ears,
It's solidified even my worst fears.
Night has come to stay,
No more shines the day,
Light has lost,
And great is the cost.
