"You know, Will, it's kind of like a house. You have great times there, and you don't want to leave. But for some reason you have to move. And then you come back, to all the memories, and it's hard, but you have to remember that it isn't yours anymore. You can't just go walk in or knock on the door and expect to waltz back in like you never left. It belongs to someone else, and you just have to try to accept that and move on. You'll always have the good times you once had, and you'll always miss it, but it just can't be."

"Buffy? Are you ready to go?" Angel called. "We've got a plane to catch in an hour!"

"Hold on, love. I'm just getting Angelica out of the crib," Buffy called back from their daughter Angelica's bedroom.

A moment later Buffy came in carrying the sleeping 1-year-old blond. "Angel? Are you nervous?"

"Nervous? Am I ever. Your high-school life wasn't exactly the best time for me."

Buffy nodded in understanding and took Angel's hand. "I know. But things are great now, aren't they?"

"I'm blessed. I don't deserve everything I have. A loving wife, a wonderful daughter, being a human."

"Shh. Don't talk that way. Concentrate on grabbing our suitcase."

Angel laughed. "Right. Suitcase." He grabbed the huge suitcase on wheels and pulled it out to the car.

As they drove to the airport, Buffy turned to Angel. "I wonder what it'll be like to see everyone again? I haven't seen anyone except for Giles since our wedding, and that's only because he and Mom got married last year. I've talked to everyone through email and all, but it isn't the same. Sometimes I just want to run outside and kill something."

"Do you wish you were still the slayer?" Angel asked quietly, his eyes on the road.

"Not for a minute. Life was too hectic, we could never be together. I wanted a normal life, and now I finally have one. I'm thankful that my duties ended at age 20."

"Me too," Angel agreed. They reached the San Diego Airport soon. The two had left Sunnydale right after their wedding, and moved to San Diego.

"Now boarding, gate G22, non-stop flight from San Diego to Sunnydale," an announcer called. Buffy heard her shudder as she said "Sunnydale."

Angel picked up their daughter, the spitting image of them both, and propelled them towards the gate.

The man at the gate took the tickets and let them board.

"I'm so nervous," Buffy murmured as the plane took off. "What if they're all changed?"

"Shhh. Don't worry so much, Buffy. It's only been 10 years since you graduated." Angel leaned over a kissed Buffy slowly.

Buffy returned the kiss but broke it off when a flight attendent cleared her throat. "No PDA's, please."

Buffy blushed a crimson red and smiled. "Gramma?" Angelica asked, suddenly waking up.

"Yes, Angie, we'll see Gramma and Grandpa when we get to Sunnydale."

The plane landed in a couple of hours, and the trio were the first ones off. "Willow said she'd meet us here," Buffy said worriedly. "What if she changed so much we don't recognize her? What if a vampire feasted on her on the way?"

"Did you always worry this much?" Angel wondered, planting a kiss on her lips. "Don't worry. She's probably just a litte late."

Buffy wasn't listening. Her eyes were wide open. Angel followed her glance, and saw a smiling redhead wearing a black sweater and a matching shirt rushing towards them. "BUFFY!"

"WILLOW!" Buffy shrieked. She rushed towards her best friend gleefully and threw her arms around her in a huge hug. "I am so happy to see you!"

Willow was crying happily. "I was worried I wouldn't recognize you," she sniffed.

"Me too." Buffy hugged Willow again. "How are you? How's Oz? And Xander and Cordy?" She turned around as Angel apporached with Angelica. "Oh! Willow, you haven't seen Angel here in awhile or even met our daughter Angelica yet!"

Willow smiled and hugged Angel. "It's great to see you again."

Angel gave her a friendly kiss on the cheek. "You too." He added softly, "Thank you."

"Hey, you wanna meet Angelica? She's a beauty, isn't she?" Buffy handed the baby to Willow, who was practically jumping up and down.

"So, where are you staying?" Willow asked Buffy as they drove towards Xander's house, where he was with Cordelia Harris and Willow's husband, Oz.

"My house, of course. Giles- I probably shouldn't call him that- refused to move out of Sunnydale with Mom."

Willow pulled up into the driveway and parked the car. She honked the horn before running out to the house, with Angel, Buffy, and Angelica following behind.

"People! Look who's here!" Willow screamed as they all entered the living room.

Buffy put Angelica on the floor and rushed over to Xander. "ALEXANDER HARRIS!"

They hugged and then pulled away. "I can't believe it's you!" Xander and Buffy said at the same time, and then laughed.

Angel came up to Buffy and put his arm around her waist. "Hey."

Xander was unsure of what to say at first, but he soon regained his composure. "Hey De-" he began, but stopped. "Angel."

Cordelia came out of the kitchen with Oz as everyone took a seat. Angel and Buffy sat on the love seat with Angelica crawling at their feet. Willow sat in on the floor, Oz sat on the coffee table, and Xander and Cordelia smushed into an armchair together.

"Hey, Buffy," Cordelia said cautiously.

"Hey, Cordy," Buffy said, equally unsure. Then, in a split second, she jumped up and hugged Cordelia. "It's great to see you again."

Cordelia hugged her back. "Sunnydale isn't the same without you. Faith's 28 and still at it, but we miss you."

Buffy smiled, and then hugged Oz quickly beforing sitting back down.

"So. Let's catch up," Buffy suggested. Everyone agreed.

"This is our daughter, Angelica," Buffy explained unnecessarily. She scooped up Angelica. "Say 'hi', Angie."

"Hi. Vampire?" Angelica asked.

For a moment everyone was stunned. Then they laughed.

"No, they aren't vamps," Angel said. "Belive me." To himself he muttered, "And God forbid Spike or Drusilla are around."

"How's your life been?" Xander wanted to know.

"Just wonderful," Buffy gushed. "I should never have as much as I have."

Xander sucked in his breath and then let it out. "I'm glad everything worked out for you two."

"So am I. And thank you, everyone, for everything you've done for us."
