End of Times by vampire78
[Reviews - 4]

The first part of this story is part of the epiloge from the book "Queen of the Slayers" and all the credit goes to Nancy Holder and Joss Whedon. Not only for the part from the book, but for the idea for my story. So, I hope you all like it and here is part one.

"Buffy." It was Giles, walking slowly toward her. He still carried the torch. He looked from the tower of sticks tp the torch, to her. "We thought..."
She realized then that they had arranged her clothes around her, and had placed her folded hands over the sword. The tower of sticks was her funeral pyre.
"We saw..." Dawn's throat was too tight to speak.
"We saw you die." Giles said.
The crown of Buffy's head tingled. She reached up.
The little girl was not there.
[Angel didn't die,] she realized. [Spike...]
She broke down. The long nightmare was over; the grieving unnecessary. As she sobbed out her exhaustion and her relief, the others held her.
The ones who loved her held her.
Hope filled every fiber of her being.
"I love you," she said to them as they crowded around her, laughing, and crying, rejoicing in the amazement that they were all here, and all was well.
Andrew blinked. "Even me?"
"Even you."
She walked toward her pyre then, and she saw that they had planted the banner with the crown in the sand beside it. She yanked the pennant off the staff and began to shred the tattered fabric.
"No queens," she gritted, as Kennedy and Willow came up to her.
"Sorry about that," Kennedy said. "We knew it would piss you off. But Ornella was doing that whole 'Queen' bit, and we had to make sure our girls knew which side they were on."
"We almost used a happy face," Willow added. Then she said to Kennedy, "I need a minute with Buffy."
Kennedy nodded and walked back toward the others.
Willow took Buffy's hand in
hers. "I saw her," she said. "Your
child."
Buffy swallowed hard. "I think you were the only one who could."
"Magick user," Willow said. "Plus, I had an ascended moment when we did that Slayer spell. When I saw Tara." She took a breath. "Your little girl was beautiful."
"She was theirs. And mine," Buffy said wonderingly. "We gave her life, and she tipped the balance. Our daughter saved the world."
"Because of her, there was more good in the world than evil. There still is."
"For now."
"For now," Willow agreed. "Maybe she'll come back someday. Maybe Spike and Angel will too."
She touched Buffy's cheek, and then she gave her dearest friend some space.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer raised her face to the dawn.
She was different, again. Not the same as all the other Slayers. Again.
She touched her lower abdomen, closed her eyes, and communed with heroes.
She said to them, [I will see you
again.]

on with my story

As Buffy kept her eyes closed, she felt something soft press against the back of her entire body.
She opened her eyes to see that she was in a white room with lots of machines in it. Buffy realized that she was in a hospital, with no idea how she got there.
She looked to her left to see a girl she didn't know, she was sleeping in a chair. Buffy smiled, the girl reminded her of Dawn. Then Buffy's eyes widened at the thought of her sister.
"Dawn where are you?" Buffy whispered, trying not to wake the girl.
With no luck, the girl stirred. Looking up, she stared at Buffy, a smile broke out on her face. The girl jumped up and ran to the door. She opened it up and ran out.
Moments later, the girl came back. Followed by Willow and Xander. They both smiled and ran to Buffy and gave her a group hug.
Willow and Xander let go and their smiles faded.
"What's wrong guys?" Buffy asked, scared of what they might say.
"Buffy," Willow started. "You've been in a coma for three years now." Buffy was confused. She had no memory of fainting.
"It happened right after we got out of Sunnydale." Xander bagan explaining. "We were talking and before anyone knew what was happening, you were on the ground unconsious. Giles tried to wake you but no use. We took you to L.A. and the doctors didn't know why you went under."
Willow continued explaining. "It was scary. A few days later, we decided to get you out of there. Giles suggested that we take you to the Watcher's Council and then they flew us over here to Rome. And since than, everyone's been taking shifts to watch you incase you decided to wake up." Willow finished explaining.
"That's impossible. It felt like it was only a year." Buffy was confused, she couldn't have been in a coma for three years. She was only dreaming for a year.
"It's called blacking out," the girl said. Buffy finally saw her features. Average sized, brunette hair, brown eyes, and about her height. "It's just like if you were sleeping for a night. Your mind will shut down for a while and then it will start to work again later on."
"So, you are?" Buffy asked, not trying to be rude.
"Veanice Rosenberg." the girl answered. Buffy turned to Willow who sighed.
"I became a watcher two years ago. They assigned Veanice to me and I decided to adopt her." Willow told her. Buffy just nodded and turned back to Veanice.
"How bad is the head of the Watchers Council?" Buffy asked Veanice.
"Not bad at all. The first guy was a dick, but the new guy came in and kicked him out." Veanice said.
"Who is it?"
"Giles. It's kind of cool." Xander responded.
"Where is he?" Buffy asked as she sat up some more.
"In California. It's a long story that we really don't want to talk about." Willow said. Buffy, again, nodded.
"How's Angel?" Buffy asked, remembering her dream.
"Oh god. You don't know, do you?" Willow's eyes started to fill with tears.
