Buffy dodges out of the way as pure soulful sunlight blasts out of the amulet being worn by Spike, which disintegrates thousands upon thousands of Turok-Han, meanwhile Buffy stands next to Spike in the cavern.
SPIKE: I can feel it Buffy, my soul it's really there. Kinda Stings
Buffy stays with Spike, while the cavern collapses around the remaining Vampires
SPIKE: Go on then
BUFFY (Shaking her head): No you've done enough you can still -
SPIKE: No you've beaten them back, it's up to me to do the cleanup, Gotta move lamb, I think it's fair to say schools out for bloody summer
At this point Buffy is begging Spike to leave with her
BUFFY: Spike!
SPIKE (Holds his hands up in pain): I mean it Buffy, I've Gotta do this.
Then Buffy holds up her hand and interlocks it with Spike’s and tells him
BUFFY (Shaking): I love you
They have a moment, Spike smiles
SPIKE: No you don't, but thanks for saying it.
Buffy is now almost in tears
SPIKE: Now Go!
SPIKE: I wanna see how it ends.
The cavern crumbles around them as Spike pushes Buffy away
Los Angeles,
The Alley,
North of the Hyperion,
May 2003
Spike, Angel, a near death Gunn and Illyria stand in the alley by the Hyperion Hotel looking at the thousands of demons and dragons that coming towards them
GUNN: You take the 30,000 on the left.
ILLYRIA: You're fading, you'll last ten minutes at best.
GUNN: Then lets make them memorable.
SPIKE (to Angel): And in terms of a plan?
ANGEL: We fight.
SPIKE: Be more specific
ANGEL (Looks up to the sky): Well personally, I kinda wanna slay the dragon.
Angel, Spike, Illyria and Gunn stare at the oncoming army.
ANGEL: Let's go to work.
Angel swings his sword high in the air
Minas Tirith
Gondor
The Beginning of the Fourth Age
(View of Minas Tirith; over-head view showing thousands of men and women standing in the courtyard. Gandalf crowns Aragorn on the stairs in front of the great hall. Gimli is nearby, having held the crown for Gandalf.)
Gandalf: Now come the days of the king. (He smiles down at Aragorn, and says softly) May they be blessed.
(Before facing the cheering crowd, Aragorn pauses to catch his breath before taking on the mantle of his duty and destiny.)
Aragorn: (raises his hands) This day does not belong to one man but to all. Let us together rebuild this world that we may share in the days of peace.
(The crowd cheers and applauds. White flower petals from the White Tree begin to fall. We see Faramir and Éowyn standing together. They smile and look at each other lovingly as they applaud the king.)
(Standing tall and proud, King Elessar sings in Quenya the song which, long years before his forefather, Elendil, had sung as his feet first touched the lands of Middle-earth.)
Et Eärello Endorenna utúlien. Sinome maruvan ar Hildinyar tenn' Ambar-metta.
(Out of the Great Sea to Middle-earth I am come. In this place will I abide, and my heirs, unto the ending of the world.)
(Aragorn walks down the aisle. People are standing to the two sides smiling and cheering. He walks past Éowyn, Faramir, and Éomer, who smile and bow/curtsy to him. A group of Elves comes up to Aragorn, led by Legolas. The two reach each other and place a hand on the other's shoulder.)
Aragorn: Hannon le. (Thank you.)
(Legolas holds back a small smile as he steps aside. Behind him stands Elrond. A white banner with The White Tree is seen, and Arwen reveals herself behind it. Holding the banner, she walks up and curtsies to the king. Aragorn looks at her in disbelief and deep love as he caresses her face. Aragorn and Arwen embrace and kiss each other. The crowd again applauds. Arwen laughs joyfully and Elrond looks on smiling.)
(Aragorn and Arwen walk hand in hand through the crowd. They come before the four Hobbits, who bow to the king and queen.)
Aragorn: (to the Hobbits) My friends. You bow to no one.
(Aragorn kneels before them, and everyone in the courtyard does so as well. The Hobbits look about them, overwhelmed by this great honor. The camera pulls away and shows a map of Middle-earth.)
Frodo: (v.o.) And thus it was, the Fourth Age of Middle-earth began, and the Fellowship of the Ring, though eternally bound by friendship and love, was ended. (The camera swoops along the path of the Fellowship in reverse, finally ending in the Shire.) Thirteen months to the day, since Gandalf sent us on our long journey, we found ourselves looking upon a familiar site.
(The Hobbits ride through Hobbiton on ponies, wearing rich clothing.)
Frodo: We were home.
(An older, fat Hobbit, cleaning his front walk, looks on in disgust as the four Hobbits ride by and nod to him in greeting. He shakes his head, and turns back to his cleaning.)
(Back at the Green Dragon Inn, Frodo almost bumps into a man carrying a large pumpkin. He sets four mugs of ale on the table before his friends. Merry, Pippin, Sam and Frodo look about them, at the simple folk and their simple lives who have no conception of the dangers they all went through to save the world, and the Shire. The four Hobbits look at each other, and raise their mugs to friends made and lost, battles won, and quests fulfilled. Sam suddenly looks up, and sees Rosie behind the counter. He quaffs a gulp of ale, and with a look of determination in his eye, heads to the bar to speak to her. Pippin and Merry look on in surprise, and grin, while Frodo begins to laugh. Cut to Sam and Rosie's wedding day, where they kiss. Rosie throws her bouquet, which is caught by Pippin. The young Hobbit lass standing next to him gives him a roguish glance, and he smirks and nods. Frodo looks on grinning, and then his smile fades slightly.)
Frodo: How do you pick up the threads of an old life? How do you go on, when in your heart, you begin to understand, there is no going back? (Shot of Bag End looking exceptionally tidy.) There are some things that time cannot mend. Some hurts that go too deep…that have taken hold.
(Frodo is sitting at Bilbo's writing desk, writing something on the page before him. Frodo closes the book and opens to the title page showing 'There and Back Again by Bilbo Baggins.' He reaches for his pen, and the sound of him writing something can be heard. Overtaken by a sudden pain he puts down the pen and holds his shoulder. Sam enters the room behind him.)
Sam: Mr. Frodo? What is it?
Frodo: (grimacing) It's been four years to the day since Weathertop, Sam. It's never really healed.
(Sam looks at the book over his shoulder.)
Sam: 'There and Back again, a Hobbit's Tale by Bilbo Baggins'…and 'The Lord of the Rings by Frodo Baggins.' You finished it.
(Frodo closes the book.)
Frodo: Not quite. There's room for a little more. (He smiles gently up at his friend.)
(A carriage pulls into Hobbiton, driven by Gandalf, who smiles at the four Hobbits who are waiting for him. The carriage drives through the green countryside.)
Frodo: (v.o.) Bilbo once told me, his part in this tale would end. That each of must come and go in the telling. Bilbo's story was now over. There would be no more journeys for him…save one.
Bilbo: Tell me again, lad...where are we going?
Frodo: To the harbor, Uncle. The elves have accorded you a special honor. A place on the last ship to leave Middle-earth.
(Inside the carriage, Bilbo is resting his head upon Frodo's shoulder. He looks very, very old.)
Bilbo: Frodo, any chance of seeing that old Ring of mine again? Hmm? The one I gave you?
Frodo: (Frodo looks worried for a moment, and a little sad.) I'm sorry, Uncle. I'm afraid I lost it.
Bilbo: Oh. Did ye? I should like to have held it, one last time.
(Frodo smiles slightly, and the two rest their heads against each other and close their eyes.)
(Gandalf and the Hobbits reach the Havens and they come to the harbor. Frodo and Sam help Bilbo walk along.)
Bilbo: (gasps) Oh! Here is a sight that I have never seen before.
(A white ship is docked there. Upon the quay stand Elrond, Celeborn and Galadriel, who smile and greet them.)
Galadriel: The power of the three rings is ended. The time has come for the Dominion of Men.
Elrond: I Aear can vên na mar. (The sea calls us home.)
Bilbo: (Grins and chuckles.) I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.
(He hobbles over to the Elves. Elrond takes Bilbo's hand and leads him onto the ship. Galadriel smiles and follows with Celeborn. Gandalf turns to look at the Hobbits before him, and smiles down at them.)
Gandalf: Farewell, my brave Hobbits. My work is now finished. Here at last, on the shores of the sea, comes the end of our Fellowship.
(Merry and Pippin start to cry, but Frodo watches in silence.)
Gandalf: I will not say, do not weep, for not all tears are an evil. (He moves toward the ship and then turns back.) It is time, Frodo.
(The other Hobbits turn to look at Frodo in surprise.)
Sam: What does he mean?
Frodo: We set out to save the Shire, Sam. And it has been saved. But not for me.
Sam: (Beginning to cry.) You don't mean that. You can't leave!
Frodo: (Gives Sam the Red Book.) The last pages are for you, Sam.
(Frodo embraces first Merry, and then Pippin, both of whom are crying. Frodo turns lastly to Sam and holds him tight while Sam sobs. Frodo pulls back, and laying his hands on Sam's neck, gently kisses his forehead. They exchange one final glance, and then Frodo turns towards the ship. He takes Gandalf's hand and they walk together onto the ship. Frodo turns back to look at Sam, Merry and Pippin one last time, and a beatific smile shines from his face as he gazes fondly upon his friends. With a nod, he turns, and faces his new destiny. The White Ship leaves Middle-earth and sails into the West. Merry and Pippin turn to leave, but Sam stands to watch the ship until it disappears.)
(Sam is walking up the road in Hobbiton, which is green and verdant, filled with flowers and all manner of plants. All of a sudden a little Hobbit-girl with curly blonde hair comes out of the nearest Hobbit hole, and runs to Sam, who picks her up.)
Frodo: (v.o.) My dear Sam, you cannot always be torn in two. You will have to be one and whole for many years.
(Rosie comes out holding a baby boy with dark hair. Sam kisses Rosie.)
Frodo: (v.o.) You have so much to enjoy and to be, and to do. Your part in this story will go on.
Sam: Well, I'm back.
(Sam puts the little girl down, and closes the gate. They walk into Bag End, and the door closes behind them.)
THE END
SCENE 1
THE FANG GANG'S REFLECTION
Several dark hours had passed since the last four remaining members of Angel Investigations had taken on 200,000 dragon’s and demons who were members of the Circle of the Black Thorn among the 200,000 dead bodies lay two vampire champions, an Ancient Demon and a rogue lawyer of Wolfram and Hart.
Then in one corner of the thousands upon thousands of dead demon bodies Spike, Angel and Illyria rose from the bodies covered in demon blood all stood up and looked triumphantly upon the thousands of dead demons they had slaughtered realising that Gunn was still among them Spike and Angel searched frantically for Gunn, then Spike tripped over a body picking himself up he went to see that it was Gunn’s lifeless body that had been in two and also had his heart ripped out Spike was then joined by Angel and Illyria.
Angel almost threw up and had his hand over his mouth looking at Gunn’s body that was thrown all over the place.
ANGEL: Oh hell, that’s looks and smells awful what are those pieces
Spike fills Angel and Illyria on who that used to be
SPIKE: That was Gunn until a mogwai demon sorted him out
ANGEL: What’s a mogwai demon Spike?
SPIKE: Wow, you really should hit the demon community more often Angel, it's one of the most ferocious demons out there it can destroy its victims in just 2 minutes
The three warriors reflected on a unusual year, taking over a law firm, seeing old friends, finding out about old friends new whereabouts, Illyria’s arrival and the return of Angel’s son Connor, Spike turned to his fellow champion.
SPIKE: Well we saved the world, so what shall we do now?
It was at that point that they decided that they should head back to Spike’s apartment get as many weapons as possible and then go back and collect Gunn’s and Wesley’s dead bodies and take them back to their separate rooms they had in the Hyperion Hotel, lock the rooms and never to open them again.
Suddenly Angel’s mobile went off he picked it out of his pocket and answered it
ANGEL: Hello, hey Andrew how are you, us well we’re fine what’s that Oh hell not that again where is it this time? Rome, right Andrew get all the Scoobies and all the Slayers over to Buffy’s apartment pronto, me, Spike and Illyria and my son will be on the first jet to Rome and one more thing I want you, Willow, Kennedy and Dawn to meet us at Rome’s airport right see you in a few hours Bye.
After Angel put his phone away he looked at Spike and Illyria worryingly
ANGEL: Its back, Spike and its after you
Spike straight away knew what it was his grandsire was on about
SPIKE: It’s the First isn’t it?
ANGEL: Not just that Drusilla as well
SPIKE: What the hell, wait it all makes perfect sense, the First Evil shows up one year after I destroyed its army of uber - vampires and Drusilla, because she would want to get revenge on me for chucking her out of Sunnydale and because I fell in love with Buffy.
It was then Angel rang up his son, Connor and asked him to meet up with him, Illyria and Spike in his office, which all of them agreed when they all arrived at Angel’s office Angel went over the situation one more time
ANGEL: First things first we touch down in Rome we’ll meet up with Willow, Kennedy, Dawn and Andrew at Rome’s airport then we’ll be driven to Buffy’s apartment and she and Giles will go over the mission in full as I have only been given a brief description of what’s happening, any questions?
Spike slowly raises his hand
ANGEL: What now Spike?
SPIKE: Erm how exactly are we supposed to find a weapon that can actually harm or kill the First if that?
ANGEL: Simple You’ll go into a cavern 306 miles from Minas Tirith in Middle Earth, that’s where the First is planning to go, there You will go through three trials to prove that YOU are the worthy champion to wield Hope’s Dagger bit like the way you got back your soul
SPIKE: Well that’s not going to be too hard right, I mean we have the only vampire with a soul to have a son with us so that’s has to mean something?
Angels smile faded and his face now turned to a worried expression Spike caught sight of his sire’s worried expression
SPIKE: What is it, Angel
Angel looked with the grimmest expression Spike had ever seen him wear
ANGEL: Apart from Drusilla, The First is yet to reveal its two most deadliest servants, the two that will lead the armies against all the Slayers they are called the Master, and the Beast, The Master I met in 1760 and I hated him for the way he treated Darla and he has one weakness, his facial appearance, remember that. The Beast is one of the toughest demons Connor and myself have ever faced, the only way you can kill the Beast is through his own knife that he made two years ago and that he keeps on him.
Spike was slowly starting to take all of this in.
ANGEL: Ok when do we leave for Rome, I mean it’s a 12-hour flight to Italy
Spike don’t worry about a thing besides Connor and I need you to come with us first to meet the Powers That Be.

The Master’s Lair
Angelus was standing in front of the Master, who is flanked by Darla
THE MASTER: ANGELUS, THE LATIN FOR ANGEL ITS MARVELLOUS!
DARLA: HE LEFT ONLY HIS SISTER ALIVE IN GALWAY TO TELL THE TALE
THE MASTER: YOU HAD A NICE TRIP, I’M SO GLAD
He strokes Darla’s hand
DARLA: ON THE WAY HERE, WE MADE A BLOODY SLAUGHTER THROUGH SOUTHWALES AND NORTHERN ENGLAND, HE WAS MAGNIFICENT
Angelus and the Master laugh together, then Angelus’s face turns grim
ANGELUS: SO DARLA HERE TELLS ME YOU’RE SOME SORT OF MASTER
DARLA: THE MASTER, HE COMMANDS OUR ORDER
THE MASTER: THE ORDER OF AURELIS
ANGELUS: AND YOU LIVE IN THE SEWERS DO YA?
The Master gets up from his chair
THE MASTER: WE LURK BELOW LAYING TRIBUTE TO THE OLD ONES, AWAITING THAT PROMISED DAY WHEN WE SHALL ARISE, ARISE AND LAY WASTE TO THE WOR-
ANGELUS: AND WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO DO THAT? I MEAN HAVE YOU BEEN ABOVE LATELY, ITS QUITE NICE, ME I COULD NEVER LIVE IN A RAT- INVESTED STINK HOLE, I’VE GOTTA HAVE A HOUSE UPON THE TERRA
He walks towards the chair and looks at Darla
ANGELUS: ISN’T THAT RIGHT LOVE?
DARLA: (Smiles at her sire) HE’S YOUNG
ANGELUS (Walks over to Darla) AND THIS ONE, DOWN IN GOOSEFEATHERS, LINENSILK AND A VIEW, SHE ALWAYS GOT TO HAVE THE VIEW DON’T YOU MY LAMB?
DARLA: WE FED VERY RECENTLY THE BLOOD IS STILL HOT IN HIS VEINS
ANGELUS: NOTICED THAT DID YA?
At this point the Master is starting to lose patience with Angelus
THE MASTER: WE STALK THE SURFACE TO FEED AND GROW OUR RANKS; WE DO NOT LIVE AMONG THE HUMAN PESTAMS
ANGELUS: I’LL BE HONEST; YOU REALLY COULDN’T WITH THAT FACE NOW COULD YA?
Darla is shocked by Angelus’s cheek towards her sire
DARLA: ANGELUS!
ANGELUS: ITS NOT STUCK UP LIKE A BAT NOW IS IT?
DARLA: THE MASTER HAS GROWN PAST THE CURSE OF HUMAN FEATURES
THE MASTER: FEW VAMPIRES ARE CUNNING ENOUGH TO AS LIVED AS LONG AS I’VE WHICH YOU NOW DEMONSTRATE
The Master now throws Angelus across the floor
ANGELUS: YOU BELONG BY MY SIDE, OUT IN THE WORLD, FEEDING, AS WE LIKE, TAKING WHAT WE NEED, I’LL GIVE YOU THAT VIEW YOU CRAVE DARLA, I’LL GIVE YOU EVERYTHING
ANGELUS: TELL THE TRUTH, WHOSE FACE DO YOU WANT TO LOOK AT FOR THE REST OF ETERNITY? HIS OR MINE
THE MASTER: IDIOT, I MADE HER
Angelus sniggers at the Master, who then realises what choice Darla has made
THE MASTER: YOU’RE LEAVING WITH THE STALLION AREN’T YOU?
Darla smiles walks over picks Angelus up and walks off into the London night
SCENE 2
WOLFRAM AND HART
THE FANG GANG'S RETREAT
2004
Angel, Illyria and Connor are patrolling the three areas of Wolfram and Hart, the Training Area, Fred’s Laboratory and Wesley and Gunn’s areas, while Spike was in Angel’s office, waiting for the three to return, when he suddenly noticed a group of 100 Turok-Han heading towards him, straight away Spike called Angel on his phone, and linked up Illyria and Connor to the call as well
SPIKE: Guys its Spike, can you get back to Angel's office pronto! Cause we got company in the shape of 100 Uber Vampires
Angel, Connor and Illyria confirmed that
ANGEL: Right Spike we’ll be with you in 5
Five minutes after Spike had contacted them Angel, Connor and Illyria joined Spike inside Angel’s office
ANGEL: Quickly! Get some swords hurry!
With swords in their hands barring Illyria they let the door open and charged at them they were winning the battle when they had to spilt up, Spike headed off to the training area he then heard Angel shout him
ANGEL: SPIKE!
SPIKE: Well what’s the damage?
SPIKE: Angel we can’t hold Wolfram and Hart, it’s lost
ANGEL: Fine, let's grab the Viper GT, we'll drive to LA airport
As they ran killing Vampires and demons in their sight Illyria stayed behind to make sure they got away Spike sensed something was wrong, he turned round and looked in horror
SPIKE: ILLYRIA! COME ON YOU CAN’T TAKE THEM ALL JUST LEAVE THEM WE NEED YOU WITH US, COME ON LETS GO!
Realising that Spike was right, she turned and ran for the car, Spike saw that they were gaining on her, with that he charged at them, he then stopped, and threw a whole barrel of holy water at them so he, Angel, Connor and Illyria could escape.
ILLYRIA: Spike, can you please explain where the hell they came from?”
SPIKE: They’ve been sent to kill all of us by the First, but there can’t be any Turok-Han left, I mean I destroyed them all, didn’t I?
Spike, Angel, Illyria and Connor all look at each other with confused looks on their faces. The four champions walked into the main waiting area of the Hotel, which had once been the home of Angel Investigations, as they got in to the waiting area, in a flash of light stood a solitary figure, who beared a very familiar resemblance to a fellow worker that Angel knew only too well.
ANGEL: Cordy! How are you the higher power?
SPIKE: Ah well you see Angel I died doing heroic deeds so that’s how, anyway who’s this champion we’re supposed to speak to?
It was at moment that Spike stepped from behind Angel, Connor and Illyria
SPIKE: Hi Cordy, I’m the champion you’re after
Angel assured his ex
ANGEL: Its all right Cordy, Spike’s on our side, he has a soul and besides, he was the one that saved the world from the First
CORDELIA: Very well, Spike you have proven yourself to be a true champion not just along side Angel here in LA, but in Sunnydale along side the Slayer as well, Angel has received word from a Mr Andrew Wells, stating that the First is back and in Middle Earth and planning on becoming corporeal.
SPIKE: Yeah that I already know, what should I know that I don’t know already”
Angel then realised that he had to tell Spike or otherwise Spike would never know until he got to Rome
ANGEL: Spike, there is one more thing you should know, before we go to Rome, Cordelia, Connor and myself have agreed that you should be the champion for the Powers That Be
Spike is shocked and speechless
SPIKE: I don’t know what to say but why, Angel why would you give the role up to me

With Angel now having handed Spike his new destiny, Angel, Connor, Illyria and Spike now turned and headed for Rome airport.

Frodo, Gandalf and Bilbo are waiting on the shores of the Grey Havens for Sam to join them.
FRODO: I can’t wait to see Sam again, Gandalf, I mean its been nearly a year since I said goodbye to him

Then they saw Sam Gamgee walking down the steps from the ship that took him from Middle earth to join Frodo.
Sometime after that Frodo was resting in his bed he had a shocking vision
FRODO: NOOO!
SAM: What is it Mr Frodo?
FRODO: I had a vision it was some demon and he’s bringing back Sauron and his army to destroy this world and the real world
Frodo and Sam look at Gandalf, confused.

ROME, BUFFY’S APARTMENT
THE SCOOBY GANG'S DISCOVERY
Dawn, Faith, Willow, Kennedy, Robin, Xander and Giles were all in Buffy’s kitchen trying to come to terms with the news that the First was back and in Middle Earth.
Andrew was the only one out of the Scooby Gang that had seen Spike since he come back from the dead,
ANDREW: By the way when I spoke to Angel, he said he had a couple of things to take care of before he, his son, someone called Illyria, and our friend SPIKE come to Rome.
When Andrew mentioned Spike’s name Dawn, Faith, Willow, Kennedy, Xander and Giles who were all in Buffy’s kitchen, stared at Andrew when they heard that Spike was back and heading over to Rome, to help them with the re-emergence of the First, well everyone except Faith’s husband Robin Wood.
Robin was the only one who wasn’t glad with the news of Spike returning from the dead to help them against the First then spoke up, objecting to the idea
ROBIN: No way! There’s no way you can accept Spike back here after what he did to my mum surely you won’t allow him back here?"
Just then Xander punched Robin in the face, and then grabbed by his shirt collar and lectured him on why Spike should be in Rome
XANDER: Look Robin, all of us have had just about enough as we can take of your personal vendetta against Spike, don’t you understand?
Robin shook his head, looking a bit dumbfounded.
XANDER: Right I’ll explain to you then you dumb ass, what Spike did for us all was unbelievable, and a very noble thing he did by sacrificing his life he made sure that all of us got out safe so all of us could get on with our lives, besides, what he has done has just proven what Buffy told you, when you tried to kill him. Spike was the strongest warrior we had, and we gonna need him if we’re gonna come out of this thing alive which we did except for my Anya, besides today marks the second anniversary of Spike’s sacrifice
LOS ANGELES AIRPORT
Spike and Angel opted for the sewers route to the airport while Connor and Illyria headed via the train. When they got to the terminal via the underground subway they saw that their private Wolfram and Hart jet was waiting on the runway, then Spike looked at Angel and said
SPIKE: Oh well, here we go, either I’m about to make the best decision of my undead life or the worst
Angel smiles
ANGEL: Oh well, there’s only one way to find out, lets join Connor and Illyria on the jet
SPIKE: Right there with ya, I can’t to see the Scooby’s faces when they see me again!
With that Angel just smiled. Six Hours into the flight Spike is looking a bit concerned, Angel notices Spike’s concerned look
ANGEL: Spike what’s wrong?
SPIKE: What if they don’t want my help, what if they don’t want to see me again?
ANGEL: Spike they will, they’ll be delighted to see again, especially Dawn and Buffy, if want Andrew told me is true, then you’re getting a big welcome back party
Spike looked at Angel and smiled
SPIKE: Well that doesn’t sound so bad then
ANGEL: No Spike it isn’t bad at all, hey there’s Rome airport soon we’ll see them and they are going to be in for a shock when they see you
ROME AIRPORT
Willow, Kennedy, Andrew were still anxious about seeing Spike again, while Dawn was getting so excited she was shaking like she had never done before. Then she started to jump up and down and shouted
DAWN: Look! There they are
Walking through the terminal side by side were the four companions that were left of Angel’s gang: Angel, Spike, Connor and Illyria. At that precise moment Dawn ran all the way to Spike and gave him a massive hug
DAWN: God Spike we’ve all missed you so much you don’t know how hard it’s been for me and Buffy without you around.
Spike smiled
SPIKE: I know Niblet, it’s its been hard for me too considering what I’ve had to deal with this past year, I’ll tell you guys all about it on the way back to Buffy’s apartment”,
While they were on the way home Spike had finished telling his story of his eventful story in LA, Andrew informed Spike of the state of play in the Apocalypse.
ANDREW: It's now teleported to Middle earth, Spike so it can become corporal again and summon Mordor’s armies and The Dark Lord Sauron.
Then Spike looked at Angel
SPIKE: It’s started Angel, the Apocalypse to end all Apocalypses, and I’m the only one that can stop it.
ANGEL: Yeah, by the way Spike, we’re here, I should warn you though Robin’s in there”
SPIKE: Oh hell! Well he’ll just have to bloody well have to live with me being there
Inside Buffy’s apartment Xander was looking out of the window
XANDER: Quick everyone get ready they’re here, Rona who else is getting out of the cab with Willow, Kennedy, Andrew and Dawn
RONA: Well there’s Angel, Connor, and Illyria and oh my God Spike is getting out too!
Robin pushed Rona out of the way
ROBIN: What! There is no way he is coming in this apartment
He then ran to the weapons closet and picked a crossbow and got ready to aim, suddenly Xander lunged for Robin and grabbed him by the throat
XANDER: Alright Robin, listen up, because I’m only going to tell you twice, and this is the final time I’m telling you, what Spike did for all of us in Sunnydale was a huge sacrifice, he risked his own life so all of us could have normal lives and I respect him for what he has done, his sacrifice just proves that he is a true champion, we have more urgent things going on than your petty personal vengeance against someone who is long gone, the First Evil has now teleported to Middle Earth and Spike will kill you if you look at him funny ever again, besides, Willow, Myself, Dawn and Buffy will let him so just let the revenge mission go alright?!
The doorbell rang and Giles opened the front door to see Dawn, Willow, Kennedy and Andrew walk through the door followed by Angel, Connor, Illyria and Spike.
GILES: Hang on Spike how did you? When? How?
SPIKE: Long story Rupert but to cut a long story short I came out of the amulet that Angel gave Buffy who gave it to me then I ended up nearly going to hell, finding out I’m the vampire written about in the Shanshu Prophecy and I helped Angel save the world from 10,000 Demons and then I ended here also learning that I’m the only one that can kill the First.
Giles, Xander, Robin, Illyria, Connor and Angel and all the Slayers looked at Spike for a minute all of them including Angel of all people was moved by his speech, slowly he raised his hand.
SCENE 4
BUFFY'S KITCHEN
SPIKE'S DECISION
ANGEL: OK Spike, two things 1) in order for you to kill the First and Sauron you will require the assistantance in wielding the sword of the champion: Hopes Dagger!
However, you will need three companions in order to help you wield this sword, my son, Robin and myself.
SPIKE: Hold on, you except me to have this vengeful wanker as one of my companions, you must be off your heads, if you Scooby’s haven’t forgotten, he tried to kill me
ANGEL: But Spike in order for you to wield Hope’s Dagger, You must summon the spirits of the Chinese Slayer you killed, Darla and Nikki Wood in return they will help the Slayers and the Scooby Gang to distract the Beast and the Master and the army of Uber-Vampires, Demons, Orcs, Nazgul while you go to destroy the First and Sauron, with the help of Frodo and Sam and the Fellowship of the Ring.
Spike sighed he didn’t even bother trying to argue with Angel for he knew he was right
SPIKE: You’re right, we’ll leave at sunset tomorrow night, but in the meantime lets hear what my favourite witch has been doing this past year
WILLOW: Well where do I start, Kennedy and I are getting married in 3 weeks, and Xander’s going out with Rona, the Immortal came to Rome, tried to impress Buffy, she nearly fell for it, but she then realised where her heart truly lies, with you Spike, she realises that now, Angel she loves you too, but with what’s happened recently, you having a son, taking over Wolfram and Hart, being Angelus again, she just can’t risk someone close to her getting hurt or getting killed, two weeks ago Andrew beat up a mogwai demon all by himself, then he staked three vampires and then flattened Kennedy all by himself.
SPIKE: Red, that fantastic news, it’s the best news I’ve actually heard for a long time, hey Andrew buddy I’m impressed well done mate
WILLOW: Oh and recently I’ve been having naughty dreams about a vampire champion involving him Kennedy and me
Then unbeknown to her she had burst out confessing that secretly she and Kennedy fancied Spike.
Spike realised what Willow had unknowingly confessed
SPIKE: You what, oh boy that’s well er -
Spike stood there in complete shock, and then he and Xander burst out laughing rolling around the floor laughing out loud
WILLOW: What, Spike, I’m serious!
SPIKE: I’m sorry Red, it's just you had a dream involving you, Kennedy and me, man you must have missed me, I mean it's just so funny
Angel then butts in
ANGEL: As much as this naughty confession is amusing to Spike, we have Evil to stop
SPIKE: Oh right Angel sorry its just Willow’s dream, you’re right, lets get down to business
Spike then realises that Buffy is not in the room
SPIKE: hey hang on where’s Buffy?
XANDER: She’s been in her room for the past 3 hours, because it was 2 years to the day that you sacrificed yourself to, because ever since she arrived in Rome, all she has done is mourn over you death
SCENE 5
BUFFYS APARTMENT
ANGELUS'S RETURN
When everyone had gone to sleep Spike was in the lounge going through the spell with Willow when Robin came in
ROBIN: Hey Spike
Willow looked up and prepared to punch Robin, but Spike stopped her.
SPIKE: Its all right Will, we’ll go through the rest tomorrow.
WILLOW: Ok Spike
With that Willow nodded and turned towards the kitchen to join the Gang.
SPIKE: Oh look who it is, it’s the vengeful son what do you want Wood! Come to kill me, well newsflash Woody boy you can’t because I’m the only one that can kill the First all right?
ROBIN: I’m not here to kill you Spike, Angel has told me that you need to summon two Slayers and his sire, so I’m going to help you summon them
Spike had a worried look on his face, but Robin smiled and extended his hand which Spike shook and went to see Giles, unbeknown to him Robin stood there all in Vamp face, who joined by Angelus with a wicked smile on his face.
ROBIN: Hang on Angelus, weren’t you supposed to have a soul intact
ANGELUS: Yeah but before the First moved to Middle Earth, I made a deal that if he unleashed me then in turn I would kill Spike, so he could kill all the Slayers
ROBIN: Ok then
ANGELUS: Don’t worry Robin we’ll get Spike, when he least excepts it.
SCENE 6
BUFFY’S VILLA BALCONY
GILES'S GRATITUDE
Giles comes out to talk to Spike.
GILES: Hello Spike how are you
Spike rolls his eyes in disgust,
SPIKE: What does the Watcher who ‘had a hand in getting Principal Wood to try and kill Spike’ want this time?
Giles knew that Spike had hit the nail on the head with that remark.
GILES: I haven’t come out here to argue or to kill you, I’ve come out here on behalf of Xander and myself
Spike rose his left eyebrow at this remark
SPIKE: Oh do go on Rupert, don’t let me stop you
GILES: Well we just wanna say we’re sorry and for not trusting you even when you had a soul, you know Spike, when Buffy mentioned you had died to save us all, we all held a minutes silence in memory of you, Dawn couldn’t even stand, she was in so much shock, as for Buffy, well where do I begin?
Spike was moved, almost in tears at this point
SPIKE: You guys really held a minute's silence for me then?
Giles smiled
GILES: Yes Spike we did
SPIKE: Rupert start at the beginning after you lot left Sunnydale OK?
GILES: OK, after we all left Sunnydale we all went our separate ways, except for myself and Andrew as we went to stay with Buffy and Dawn for a few months, all that Buffy did was cry each night over your death.
Spike was moved so much, he was nearly crying.
SPIKE: You all really held a minute's silence?
Yes, we did, the only thing Buffy has in terms of a memory was your lighter, the one you left her and she remembered that night you two spent together, she'll never forget it.
With that Spike turned to go back in the apartment to go over the plan with Willow
GILES: Spike, its great to have you back in the Scooby Gang
Spike turns round and sees Giles offer his hand as a gesture of thanks for returning to them and he shook it
SPIKE: Thanks Giles, now let's go and get that spell ready
SCENE 7
SPIKE'S SLAYER POWERS
With that Giles nodded n agreement and turned and followed Spike into the lounge.
Slowly but surely Willow nodded her head in agreement then Willow did the spell and gave Spike Slayer strength.
SPIKE: Oh Bollocks now what. Bloody Hell!
GILES: Do you feel it Spike?
Spike turned to his fellow Englishman and nodded his head, and then he looked at his chest in shock and fear. Spike looked up towards Buffy, and the rest of the gang as Buffy went towards him as a shot of light shot into his body
SPIKE: I can feel it, Angel
Angel looks puzzled.
ANGEL: What Spike?
SPIKE: My Slayer Powers, They’re really there, feels kinda strange
Spike collapsed in a heap on the floor, straight away Angel, Buffy and Dawn went to help Spike to his feet.
With the help of Buffy, Dawn Slowly Spike got up.
Immediately as Spike got up, Spike felt his heart and was a bit surprised
SPIKE: Why what happened to me, why do I have Slayer Power of a sudden?
ANGEL: It must’ve been the Powers
Spike looked confused.
SPIKE: What?
Angel started to piece it all together altogether
ANGEL: It all makes sense, the handing over of the Shanshu Prophecy, stopping the Firsts Armies in Sunnydale, and being the Vampire Champion that’s able to wield the dead spirits, of the Chinese Slayer, Darla and Nikki Wood, and be the one that can use Hopes Dagger.
Spike, the Scooby’s and the Slayers were completely dumbfounded, until Buffy spoke up
BUFFY: Excuse me Angel but I thought only a Slayer could use Hopes Dagger. And why have you handed over the Prophecy to Spike anyway?
ANGEL: Because Buffy, I can't be with you, even though you love me, what I've done to you and your friends and family and me taking over Wolfram and Hart, I just can't be with you, now let explain.

Later, Spike went to see Connor.
SPIKE: Hey Connor, son of Angel and Darla
Connor sat in the kitchen motionless, clutching what looked to be a jacket
SPIKE: I come with tidings in this dark hour and with counsel
Connor then held up a bloodied and torn leather jacket,
CONNOR: Perhaps Spike, you can explain this (Connor starts to cry) Perhaps you come to tell me why my father is d-dead?
Spike shockingly stands there in shock and as a flashback of his grandsire’s death.

LOS ANGELES
THE ALLEY BY THE HYPERION HOTEL
Spike is backed into a corner by 140 demons, just out of the corner of his eye he's see's Gunn's body landed in two pieces, in front of him.
Realising that he was about to die, He plucked up whatever courage he had left, as he mutters to the night sky.
SPIKE: I love you Buffy Summers
Just then Angel came flying through the air and got up ready to defend Spike from the demons
SPIKE: ANGEL! WHAT THE BLOODY HELL ARE YOU DOING? THEY'LL KILL YOU
Angel looked at Spike with a look of determination on his face
ANGEL: That's the plan. Spike take Illyria and my son and run!
With that Spike grabbed Illyria and ran through the Hyperion hotel and back to his apartment

SPIKE: Connor, your father died to save me and Illyria and that we are grateful for.
CONNOR: Spike, what are you talking about, my dad's here in Rome with us
Spike realises that Angel wasn't Angel any longer.
SPIKE: Hang on Connor, if you're saying that you're dad's here and I buried him in LA then who the bloody hell is that in the lounge with the slayers?
CONNOR: Spike, are you thinking what I'm thinking?
Spike nodded at his brother with a worried look on his face
SPIKE: Yes Connor I am he's back
In an instant, Spike and Connor headed straight for the lounge.
BUFFY’S APARTMENT LOUNGE
Unbeknown to the rest of the gang Angel was trying to explain to the rest of the Scooby’s why he was given Wolfram and Hart
Buffy, Willow, Dawn and the Scooby Gang are sitting down on the leather sofa staring at Angel with disgust as he finishes his tale.
ANGEL: So you see I had no choice but to. I give Connor the life that he always wanted, & Wolfram & Hart gave me their LA offices
The Gang just stare at him in shock then Willow manages to speak.
WILLOW: You sold your own son to Hades for God’s sake
Angel was desperately trying to make the gang see the decent side of it
ANGEL: Come on you're making it sound like I made a pact with the devil.
The Gang started to get mad. Buffy spoke up with a angry tone in her voice
BUFFY: What are you going to do gift wrap it, make me believe that this place of extreme evil gave you billions of dollars, also tried to help you & you in return wanted nothing. I heard Giles out when he said that you weren't to be trusted any more but this is mind-boggling I never believed that Angel would ever join the baddies out of choice.
Angel still protests but Buffy was having none of it.
ANGEL: I'm not a baddy, well at the moment. How did you lot remember Connor? You're not supposed to!
Willow was trying to make Angel see what he’d done wrong
WILLOW: I know that now! The only reason that I do know anything is that spells rarely affect me coz I sense them in time, and anyway I told Buffy about it.
The door is broken open & in walks Connor. Willow is a bit surprised by Connor’s manner of opening the door
WILLOW: Connor. Oh my God! That was a new door that Buffy had put in last week
Connor looks at Buffy
CONNOR: I’m sorry, I’ll get a new door for you after we save the world, but now I want all of you to get away from my dad and Robin Now!
WILLOW: Why, Connor, its just Robin and your dad
Connor was shaking his head his head in anger.
CONNOR: No Willow that is where you’re wrong, because those two people are not the people you thought they were are you?
Now Spike is standing behind Angelus with a stake in his left hand a Cross-in his right hand and Connor standing in front of Angelus with a crossbow in his right hand.
ANGELUS: That is where you’re wrong Connor, I’m Angel at last, and this is what your dad really looked like
Angelus vamps and knocks the crossbow out of Connor’s hand and instead of holding his son hostage he grabs Dawn around the neck, terrifying everyone else in the room but Robin had bolted all the other doors so no-one could get out while Spike stayed hidden unseen by Robin and Angelus.
ANGELUS: I wouldn’t bother running if I were you all the doors are bolted, and another thing I’ve got a message for Spike
It was then Spike appeared from behind his grandsire
SPIKE: Then why don’t you give me the bloody message yourself you stupid git!
ANGELUS: Well you see Spike, it’s not the kind of message it sort of involves finding the bodies of your loved ones and your friends
Spike shook his head refusing to believe that the vampire facing him was Angelus.
SPIKE: No Angel this can’t be you, you were supposed to have died in the battle against the Senior Partners
ANGELUS: As I explained to Robin 10 minutes ago I made a deal with the First so that I could kill you in order for the First to kill the Slayers when they go to Middle Earth
SPIKE: Angelus, Robin, why don’t you let Dawn go and deal with me if you want to kill me? Fine then come and get me
DAWN: Spike don’t do this
SPIKE: Nibblet, don’t this won’t hurt me a bit
He winks at Dawn as he drops the stake.
Angelus nodded at Robin
ROBIN: What’s that supposed to mean?
ANGELUS: IT MEANS GO AND KILL HIM YOU IDIOT JEEZ, DO I HAVE TO THINK OF EVERTHING AROUND HERE?
Spike waited as Robin Wood, the Vampire lunged for him, but cleverly Spike threw a cross in his face
SPIKE: Hey Wood, catch this
Robin stopped
ROBIN: Catch what?
It was then that the cross-hurtled straight in his face.
SPIKE: Nibblet, duck NOW!
In a flash Spike hurtles a bottle of holy water at Angelus
Angelus lets go of Dawn clutching his face
ANGELUS: Ah!
SPIKE: Ok Red does the spell now!
Then Willow did a force-back spell and then did the de-invite spell only on Robin that pushed the Vampire out of the apartment.
SPIKE: Sorry Wood, we changed the locks, Red stun Angelus and lock him up
WILLOW: But why Spike?
SPIKE: Because I’ll need another champion to assist you guys against the armies of Mordor, and I’ll need you to re-soul him
Xander then butted in
XANDER: But Spike you’ve always hated Angel
SPIKE: I know Harris, but you don’t just need him, I need him to be there with you at the end, in case I don’t return with the Hobbits.
Xander smiled
XANDER: Very well Spike, Will do the Spell
WILLOW: OK Xander.
SCENE 10
MINAS TIRITH
BOROMIR AND DENETHOR'S RETURN
Aragorn, Faramir, Legolas, Gimli, and Pippin are in the Kings Hall having Roast Chicken.
PIPPIN: So Aragorn when are Gandalf, Frodo and Sam coming from the Grey Havens?
ARAGORN: They will be back in a few hours coming through Gondor’s Southern Gate, Pippin
Meanwhile Eomer, King of Rohan and Merry Brandybuck, Esquire of Rohan were riding towards Minas Tirith when they saw two strangers cloaked in Silver, walking towards the Gate of Minas Tirith
MERRY: Eomer, do you see those two strangers heading towards Gondor’s Main Gate?
EOMER: Yes Merry, I do, let's go get them, they could be Orcs
Eomer agreed and he and Merry drew their Swords
MERRY/EOMER: CHARGE
EOMER: Right then you Orcs are coming with us to the Hall of the King
Eomer and Merry dragged the two strangers onto their horses and rode up the seven levels of Minas Tirith to the Kings Hall.
Meanwhile Pippin was practising archery with Legolas
LEGOLAS: No Pippin, you get the end of the arrow that is facing inwards and place the bow string in that and pull the arrow back so that your thumb is just under your chin, you then take aim and fire.
Suddenly King Eomer and Merry burst up onto the top level of Minas Tirith through the door dragging two strangers who were hooded and cloaked in silver.
MERRY: Pippin, Legolas on our way here we found these two strangers walking towards Minas Tirith
Merry and Eomer followed by Legolas and Pippin took the two strangers to the Kings Hall whereby they threw them to the ground in front of Aragorn and Faramir, Pippin, Legolas and Gimli.
Slowly Aragorn and Faramir of Gondor got up from their chairs
ARAGORN: Strangers of Gondor, you will reveal yourselves to the Steward and the King
One of the strangers got up
BOROMIR: Gladly, King Aragorn, we reveal ourselves as Boromir and Denethor, former Steward and heir to the Steward of Gondor.
Merry and Pippin look shocked and have a flashback to Boromir’s Death
AMON HEN
BOROMIR HEADS TOWARDS MERRY AND PIPPIN AS THE TWO HOBBITS ARE CORNERED BY THE URUK-HAI. BOROMIR KILLS THE FIRST ATTACKING URUK-HAI AND MERRY AND PIPPIN KILL THE NEXT TWO URUK –HAI
THEN ALL OF THE REMAINING URUK-HAI START RUNNING TOWARDS BOROMIR AND THE TWO HOBBITS
BOROMIR: RUN! RUN!
BOROMIR THEN HEAD-BUTTS ONE AND KILLS ANOTHER TWO URUK-HAI AND LURTZ, THE GENERAL HEADS SLOWLY DOWN THE HILL SHOOTING ARROWS INTO HIM AND MERRYAND PIPPIN CHARGE INTO THE URUK-HAI, BUT THE URUK-HAI END UP TAKING THEM HOSTAGE AND HEADING UNSUCCESSFULLY TOWARDS ISENGARD.
Merry and Pippin step forwards towards Boromir, still in shock
PIPPIN: But you-you got killed
BOROMIR: Yes I did but because of the evil that is stirring again in Mordor, we have been summoned here via the Elf magic of Lady Galadriel, as I promised you before I died, Aragorn I will follow you to the end and I intend to do the same again.
SCENE 10
GONDOR'S SOUTHERN GATE
THE RETURN OF THE RINGBEARERS
The Ringbearer’s Boat, consisting of Frodo Baggins, Gandalf the White, Samwise Gamgee and Lady Galadriel sailed into the docking area of Gondor’s Southern Gate, Frodo was still unsure about what they were doing.
FRODO: Gandalf, are you sure we’re doing the right thing by going back to Gondor and helping Aragorn in defeating Sauron
Gandalf just smiled down at Frodo
GANDALF: My dear Frodo, I’m sure we are doing the right thing
Frodo smiled as himself and Sam followed Gandalf and Lady Galadriel towards Minas Tirith. As soon as they arrived at the Kings Hall, Frodo and Sam told tales of their adventures in the Grey Havens.

The whole Fellowship turned to stare in astonishment and shock at the Dwarf

LEGOLAS: Oh Come on Gimli, there was only one Dwarf that fancied Lady Galadriel and you’re that very Dwarf

He then realises that he’s blushing

With that the Fellowship all smiled at Gimli, happy for the Dwarf.
THE COURTYARD OF STONE.
Denethor, Boromir, Faramir and Aragorn are walking through the courtyard arguing over the crowning of Aragorn.
BOROMIR: But Father, Aragorn is the rightful heir to the throne of Gondor, he is Isildur's heir, and both myself and Faramir have pledged our allegiance to Aragorn
Denethor looks at his two sons' and Aragorn
DENETHOR: Very well, Aragorn I pledge my allegiance to yourself, Elessar.
Denethor bows down to Aragorn, who looks towards Boromir and Faramir who smile and nod.
ARAGORN: Lord Denethor, your allegiance is most appreciated.
DENETHOR: Thank you Aragorn.
ARAGORN: Not at all, now then let's get ready for war.
Denethor smiles at his two sons' and Aragorn as they turn and head for the King's Hall.
SCENE 11
BUFFYS SPARE ROOM
THE RESOULING OF ANGELUS
Spike was standing in Buffy’s spare room contemplating what had happened within the past two years, sacrificing his life to save the world, coming back from the dead, being in non-physical form for eight weeks, nearly slipping into hell, learning he is part of the Shanshu Prophecy, learning that Angel has a son Connor, who is also his brother and finally helping Angel save the world from the Senior Partners and The Circle of the Black Thorn, which if you think about thought Spike isn’t bad, considering that me and Angel aren’t the best of friends.
It was at that point that there was a knock on the door, Spike turned away from the window and headed towards the door, opened it to find his dearest love, Buffy Anne Summers standing in the doorway, wearing nothing but a tight black, leather jacket and a short denim skirt that just covered her bum. Spike was in shock, put being a gentleman invited her into the spare room, but unbeknown to him, following Buffy were Dawn, Willow, and Kennedy. Spike looks horrified
SPIKE: What the bloody hell is this?
Buffy spoke with a soft, seductive voice
BUFFY: We’ve come to make your dream come true?
Spike was still a bit confused
SPIKE: And that would be what exactly?
Without any warning at all Kennedy ripped off Spike’s t-Shirt and herself, Dawn and Willow pushed him onto his bed and while the three of them fondled Spike with kisses, Kennedy was kissing Spike’s chest then she grabbed his ball’s.
SPIKE: Oh, Bollocks that hurts Kennedy
Buffy then jumped on him and Spike screamed in agony
SPIKE: Ah!
Spike then woke up sweating in shock
SPIKE: Bloody Hell that was some dream
He then got up, and got changed and headed out to the streets of Rome to patrol.
Spike returned to Buffy’s apartment just before dawn, and upon opening the door, he found Angelus chained up and that Willow, Dawn and Buffy were performing the spell that would restore Angel’s soul, realising that Angelus was still unconscious, Spike got a bucket of really, cold ice and poured it over his head.
SPIKE: Angelus! Wakey – Wakey, its time to be re-souled
Angelus awoke to find himself chained up real tight
ANGELUS: Whoa - What the hell is going?
Angelus tried to move and wriggle free of his chains but he couldn’t.
Spike urged Willow to hurry up
SPIKE: Red do it now, we’ve only got a few minutes before the chains on Angelus snap!
While Angelus struggled to get free Willow did the re - soul spell

BUFFY’S APARTMENT BALCONY
ANGEL'S THANKS
Several hours had passed since Willow, Connor, Dawn and Spike had re-souled Angel when Angel came through to see Spike on the balcony of Buffy’s apartment.
ANGEL: Hey Spike, I just want to say thanks a bunch for re-souling me, must’ve taken a lot of guts, considering you hate me so much
SPIKE: Yeah well, I know you would’ve done the same for me if it had happened to me
Then Buffy walked through the apartment door
BUFFY: Whoa, what’s going on here then?
CONNOR: Hi Buffy, I’m Connor, Angel’s son and we’re here coz there’s an apocalypse in Middle Earth at Minas Tirith, actually I’m gonna go get some food from your kitchen, Angel’s outside on you balcony with someone else, he’ll explain it to ya, Toodles
Buffy looked a bit puzzled, but shaking it off, she made her way towards her balcony, she then opened the balcony door to talk to Angel, who sensed that Buffy was going to open the door decide to leave the two lovers to it,
ANGEL: Spike I’ll leave you and Buffy to talk then and Spike?
SPIKE: Yeah
ANGEL: Thanks again
SPIKE: Don’t mention it Angel
It was at that point Buffy opened the balcony door and saw him
BUFFY: Spike! Is that really you?
SPIKE: Yes Buffy it's really me I’m really here

BUFFY AND SPIKE'S REUNION
He smiled and laughed with joy Buffy started to run towards him and gave Spike the kiss that he had waited for 2 whole years, a kiss of loving, longing passion, Spike and Buffy finished kissing and sat down
SPIKE: Bloody hell, this a lot harder than what I had originally thought
BUFFY: So Spike how have you been lately?
SPIKE: Erm. Well I burnt up in Sunnydale saving the world, as you know, I came back from the dead, through the amulet that Angel gave you, for seven weeks I was in non-corporeal form and I was slipping into Hell, which was bloody terrifying, I was given back my essence, found out I was part of the Shanshu Prophecy, I was helping the helpless, Cordelia came back from her coma, to put Angel back on the path of being the Power’s Champion, and then she gave Angel her visions before she died, and Fred died, whose body, essence and soul was taken over by some Old Demon known as Illyria, then you lot wouldn't help us then me and Angel went to Rome to rescue you from the Immortal, then we were introduced to Angel’s son Connor, whose mum is ironically Darla and I’m the kid’s brother and then finally to top it all we all took on the Circle of the Black Thorn and The Senior Partners gang of demons and dragons in the ultimate apocalypse, and then we flew all the way over here to discover that the First Evil has made an alliance with Sauron in Middle Earth, that’s my two years explained how have you Scoobies been then?
Buffy couldn’t believe what she had just heard
BUFFY: Whoa, well me and Dawn have been trying to get over your death an -
Just then Willow opened the balcony door
WILLOW: Buffy, Spike, sorry to interrupt your reunion talk, but we’re ready to do the transfer spell to Gondor now?
Spike nodded in approval, as if to say he was ready
SPIKE: Ok Red thanks
Spike looked at her dearest love
SPIKE: Well Buffy this is it, the ultimate apocalypse
BUFFY: Spike, are you sure you want to go with this?
SPIKE: Buffy darling, I can’t help the way this apocalypse and prophecy has been written, actually I don’t wanna change it, if this is the way my destiny is set then I wouldn’t have it any other way
With that Buffy and Spike smiled at each other and both headed into the lounge area, where Angel, Connor Illyria, the Scoobies and all the Slayers that had been brought from all over the world were waiting for the two champions.
SCENE 13
BUFFY’S LOUNGE ROOM
SPIKE'S PLAN
As soon Spike walked in hand in hand with Buffy Giles was startled and shocked.
GILES: Hang on Spike how did you? When? How?
SPIKE: Long story Rupert but to cut a long story short I came out of the amulet that Angel gave Buffy who gave it to me then I ended up nearly going to hell, finding out I’m the vampire written about in the Shanshu Prophecy and I helped Angel save the world from 10,000 Demons and then I ended here also learning that I’m the only one that can kill the First.
Buffy looked at Spike
BUFFY: Spike, there's something you should know
SPIKE: What, Buffy?
BUFFY: I love you
Spike smiled
SPIKE: Really?
BUFFY: Yes Spike I really do
And with that they kissed after two years of waiting, while behind them Connor and all the gang, including all the Slayers clapped and cheered, except Angel who looked a bit pissed off.
SPIKE: Oh come on Angel, don't look at me that way, you're just gonna have to accept the fact that Buffy can't be with you because of your son and well your thing that causes you to revert to Angelus, hard luck mate
As Spike turned away Angel, vamped out, drew a sword from Buffy’s weapons closet and aimed for Spike’s head, noticing what Angel was about to do, Willow telepathically called out to Spike.
WILLOW: Spike! Angels coming towards you and is going to decapitate you turnaround now!
In the blinking of an eye Spike, turned round and picked a stake from inside his jacket pocket and threw it into Angel’s leg, Angel was now in pain on his knees, he dropped his sword.
SPIKE: Oh god that hurt!
Spike stepped up, picked up the sword and to the shock of everyone and aimed it at his neck.
SPIKE: Yeah, well not as much as this will MATE!
And Spike drops the sword onto the ground and kicks Angel in the stomach several times, then he picks him up by his jacket collar, and he then vamps out and threatens Angel, who is now in human face
SPIKE: DON’T YOU EVER TRY TO KILL ME AGAIN, THAT MEANS YOU TOO, GILES!
With that he walks out to the balcony to get some fresh air.When Spike came back in, he explained the plan to the Scooby Gang
SPIKE: Right then, here’s the Plan, Willow is going to transport myself, Angel, Faith and Connor to the Dwimholt: the haunted Mountain, while you guys including Illyria will transport to Rohan where you will travel straight to Minas Tirith, and spring a trap on the First Armies
When Spike had explained the plan to the slayers they didn’t like Spikes plan, Kennedy, always one to voice her opinion didn’t agree to Spike leading them into battle against Mordor’s armies.
KENNEDY: Hang on a minute, you guys aren’t seriously thinking of agreeing with Spike’s plan, I mean its ultimate suicide, if you think I’m going join you Spike you’re out of you’re mind
Right at this very moment everyone, even Willow and Buffy excepted Spike to hit Kennedy, but to everyone’s shock, the British vampire just accepted her reason
SPIKE: OK Kennedy, you win, I mean I can’t force you to join us all in the apocalypse
Then as he and Kennedy turned away from each other Spike whizzed around and grabbed Kennedy by the throat
SPIKE: Now listen you stupid, gormless bitch, I sacrificed my life so all of you Scoobies could have normal lives, now for the last time if you are not going to for me, then at least do it for Willow, she has sacrificed a bloody lot for you, she’s bloody let the love of her life, Tara go for you, so you should at least go to war for her alright?
Angrily Kennedy let go of Spike
KENNEDY: Spike you’re right, I’ll go with you for the sake of Willow, but I do like you for sacrificing yourself so we could all have normal lives, thanks
With that Kennedy gave Spike a peck on the cheek.
Spike stood there completely stunned as Kennedy turned round to give Spike a saucy look, and then Dawn cheekily whispered to her sister and Willow
DAWN: Hey looks like you two have competition for the affections of Spike.
BUFFY: Highly unlikely little sis, as Kennedy is gay, but judging by the look on Spike’s on his face, I’d say Kennedy might be bi.
SCENE 14
BUFFY’S APARTMENT LOUNGE
THE GANG'S TRANSPORTATION
Kennedy had returned from the bedroom that she and Willow had been sharing between them, as soon as Kennedy rejoined the slayers Willow began the spell
WILLOW: PORTALOS!
A big portal appeared in the shape of a black hole
SPIKE: RED ARE YOU SURE THIS IS THE RIGHT ONE, I MEAN, IT’S A BLOODY BLACK HOLE FOR GOD’S SAKE!
Willow yelled back at Spike, amidst all the portal noise
WILLOW: SPIKE I KNOW WHAT I’M DOING NOW YOU ANGEL, CONNOR AND FAITH GO IN FIRST YOU’LL BE TRANSPORTED TO THE PATHS OF THE DEAD, AND YOU’LL MEET KING ELESSAR AND GANDALF THE WHITE
Spike stood there, a bit confused
SPIKE: KING WHO?
Willow rolled her eyes in disgust,
WILLOW: ARAGORN! THE SON OF ARATHORN AND THE HEIR OF ISILDUR!
SPIKE: OH RIGHT THEN OK RED SEES YOU GUYS BACK AT GONDOR WHEN THIS IS OVER
Spike, Connor, Angel and Faith all nodded in agreement
SPIKE: RIGHT THEN YOU LOT LETS GO!
One by one they all jumped into the portal, Spike was just about to jump in when Willow stopped him
WILLOW: SPIKE! WAIT
SPIKE: WHAT IS IT RED?
WILLOW: AS SOON AS YOU SUMMON DARLA, THE CHINESE SLAYER AND NIKKI WOOD, SEND THEM, ALONG WITH ANGEL, CONNOR AND FAITH BACK TO MINAS TIRITH WHILE WE WANT YOU TO JOIN FRODO AND SAM AT CIRITH UNGOL!”
Spike knew that the Scoobies were right slowly one by one he said good bye to his friends then he came to Xander and Buffy
SPIKE: Xander I want you to promise me something
XANDER: What’s that Spike?
SPIKE: If I don’t come back from the journey, will you look after Nibblet for me?
Xander nodded in approval
XANDER: Yes Spike I will
Then he turned to his girlfriend, love of his life, the Slayer, Buffy Anne Summers
SPIKE: Buffy, you know I want you to be happy right
BUFFY: Yes Spike I do
SPIKE: Well if I should return, would do me the honour of being my wife?
Buffy was now in tears
BUFFY: Spike please don’t do this again
Willow had to get Spike into the portal quick
WILLOW: SPIKE! HURRY UP THE PORTAL’S GONNA CLOSE IN A COUPLE OF MINUTES
SPIKE: Buffy I’ll meet you and the others after the journey I PROMISE
With that Buffy and Spike kissed and then Spike jumped into the portal just before it closed, there was nothing but a load of grey smoke.
BUFFY: Well Will, what happens now?
WILLOW: Well I have to prepare the transportation spell for all of us to travel to Rohan and then -
BUFFY: ROHAN! I THOUGHT THE BATTLE WAS AT GONDOR, NOT ROHAN!
ANDREW: I understand why you are upset Buffy, if you think about it its for the best, as we’ll be riding towards Minas Tirith with the Rohrrim.
BUFFY: What?
Andrew rolled his eyes in disbelief
ANDREW: The Horse Army of Rohan, god sake Buffy, didn’t you ever watch the films?
BUFFY: Ah, Why didn’t you just say so, well Willow do the spell
WILLOW: REPORTALIO!
Within seconds the portal had opened and all the slayers, the Scooby’s all had gone through except for Andrew, Buffy turned round to see that Andrew wasn’t ready
BUFFY: ANDREW, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING!
ANDREW: WHATS IT LOOK LIKE BUFFY, I’M NOT GOING WITH YOU GUYS, YOU HAVE MORE STRONGER PEOPLE, AND YOU LOT DON’T NEED A WEAK GUY LIKE ME, BEING ANNOYING
BUFFY: ANDREW, YOU’VE BEEN TRAINING WITH GILES FOR A YEAR NOW, AND YOU ARE STRONG ENOUGH TO JOIN US ANYWAY, SO COME ON!
With that Buffy and Andrew jumped into the portal and to Rohan.
SCENE 15
THE PATHS OF THE DEAD

SPIKE'S ARRIVAL AT THE DWIMORBERG
Aragorn and Gandalf were standing in front of the door of the Dwimholt
ARAGORN: Gandalf how on earth did we end up back here?
GANDALF: I do not know Aragorn
All of a sudden Four bright figures of light appeared in front them.
GANDALF: But I have a feeling these 4 may be able to tell us why?
Spike stepped forward
SPIKE: Ah, you must be the king of Gondor?
Aragorn was a bit dumbfounded by this
ARAGORN: Erm. Yes why who are you and your companions doing here?
SPIKE: Sorry Aragorn, I am Spike, brother of Connor, son of Angel and here is Faith, former Husband of Robin Wood who has become a vampire and joined the Shadow, and who’s the old one, in the white?
GANDALF: I am Mithrandir, as I'm known in Gondor, but to others I am known as Gandalf the White Wizard
Connor was still a bit unsure about Gandalf
CONNOR: Dad, are you sure we can trust these people
ANGEL: Connor, my boy if Spike trusts these people, then we must believe that Spike is doing the right thing
SPIKE: Right then now that we’ve acquainted ourselves shall we get on with the quest or not?
ARAGORN: Right, then Spike, Angel, Connor and Faith, if you care to follow us then
SPIKE: Gladly Aragorn, you and Gandalf lead the way
With that Aragorn, King of Gondor and Gandalf the White lead the two Vampire champions, Angel and Spike and Faith and Connor into the Haunted Mountain
SCENE 16
ROHAN, EDORAS
THE ROHIRRIM'S EXTRA ALLIES
Meanwhile in Rohan, Lady Eowyn was getting the rest of the Rohrrim ready to go to war again
EOWYN: Gamling!
GAMLING: Yes my Lady?
EOWYN: Get the Rohrrim ready for war!
GAMLING: But Eowyn, there are not enough here to fight the armies of hell besides
Then all of a sudden thousands upon thousands of bright white figures of light appeared in front of Eowyn, Gamling and the 5,000 Rohrrim horsemen
XANDER: Whoa, well I guess the transportation spell of yours worked then Willow.
Willow was a bit surprised herself.
WILLOW: Whoa I – I didn’t except it to work so well
Suddenly Eowyn drew her uncle’s sword in front of the Slayers
EOWYN: WHO ARE YOU STRANGERS AND WHAT IN THE WORLD ARE YOU DOING IN THE LAND OF ROHAN!
Slowly Buffy stepped forward
BUFFY: My dear Eowyn, I am Buffy Summers, the Vampire Slayer, and these are my friends, Xander Harris, a great swordsman, Willow Rosenberg, a very powerful witch, probably as powerful as Gandalf the White, my Watcher Rupert Giles, my sister Dawn, who is every bit as tough as myself and Andrew, a Watcher-In-Training, and these 10,000 girls are Vampire Slayers and finally Illyria, an Old One who has a lot of strength and could destroy your army in two seconds, Okay?”
Eowyn was stunned with the amount of allies that Rohan had
EOWYN: B – But how is this possible?
BUFFY: I bring word from Spike, champion of Sunnydale, who has travelled to the Dwimholt with his three companions, Connor, Angel Faith, and his two guides Aragorn and Gandalf, both are very well known here
GAMLING: So the news of the one that can stop the First is true then?
BUFFY: Yes, Sir, it is true and they will meet us at Minas Tirith, but in the mean time we must get ready for War
Eowyn stood there for a few minutes then Gamling butted in
GAMLING: Excuse me Lady, but we need a decision soon
EOWYN: Sorry, oh right, Gamling, find Rohan armour for all these people
Andrew was really excited
ANDREW: Alright! Let's go save the world again
Then Buffy turned round
BUFFY: Sorry Andrew, as much as I would like you to be in this fight you won’t be needed
Andrew watched as Buffy and the rest went to get ready, then he lashed out at the Slayer
ANDREW: OH I GET IT, JUST BECAUSE YOU GUYS HATE ME, I’M NOT ALLOWED TO FIGHT, WELL I GOT NEWS FOR YOU BUFFY, I AM GOING BECAUSE I’M IN LOVE WITH YOUR SISTER!
All of a sudden, Buffy, Dawn and Giles turned and shouted
DAWN/GILES/BUFFY: WHAT!
ANDREW: YEAH YOU LOT HEARD ME I’M IN LOVE WITH YOU DAWN, IF IT CAME DOWN TO IT, I WOULD PROBABLY DIE FOR YOU AS WELL!
Dawn stood there, so touched
DAWN: Buffy, come on, I mean I am in love with him too, Andrew we’d better come clean about it now
ANDREW: Are you sure Dawn?
ANDREW: Yes
Xander was looking a bit confused
XANDER: Ok, you two have baffled us, come clean about what!
DAWN: We’ve been secretly seeing each other since we came to Rome after Sunnydale burnt to the ground
BUFFY: But how?
Buffy stands still in shock
ANDREW: You remember all the times Dawn said she was going her boyfriend’s apartment, well that was me
BUFFY: Oh Ok, but you two take care of each other
ANDREW: Thanks Buffy

THE CENTER OF THE DWIMHOLT
THE KING OF THE DEAD’S DOMAIN
SPIKE'S TRIALS
SPIKE: Erm, are you sure this is the right way to the three spirits I have to summon Aragorn?
ARAGORN: Yes Spike, besides the only way that you can summon them is by walking through the Gate of the King of the Dead
SPIKE: Oh well that’s not so bad then, HANG ON A BLOODY MINUTE, THE GATE OF WHAT!
ARAGORN: The Gate of the King of the Dead
SPIKE: Well how will it work then KING?
ARAGORN: You will meet the KOTD and after three trials, you will then go through followed by your three companions
Spike takes this in
SPIKE: Ok, two questions 1) whom the bloody hell is the KOTD and 2) what about you two?
ARAGORN: Gandalf and myself will be waiting at the exit of the Mountain
SPIKE: Right OK!
All of a sudden the King of the Dead appeared out of his grave,
THE KING OF THE DEAD: Ah Aragorn, what brings you back to the Mountain?
ARAGORN: I bring you, Spike the one that can stop the First
KOTD: Ah Spike I’ve been excepting you
Spike rolled his eyes in disgust
SPIKE: Yay, I’m bloody famous in the land of Middle Earth, Yippee Do Da!
KOTD: Right then, let’s go
With that Spike, Angel, Connor and Faith headed into the area that men called the ‘champions cave’
A while after passing the entrance they came to the 1st trial
SPIKE: What the hell is this?
ANGEL: I’m guessing this is the First trial
In front of Spike, stood what looked like Angelus, Drusilla and Darla
Spike looked round at the seemingly empty cave.
SPIKE: Hang on a minute, what’s this?
Angel looked at the sign outside the cave
ANGEL: Apparently according to this sign on the wall, the 1st trial is all about loyalty?
Spike looked around
SPIKE: Huh? Where's it saying that?
Angel pulled Spike and showed him
ANGEL: Right here.
Spike looked at Angel and shook his head
SPIKE: Oh very funny Liam, OK then let's get it on then
ANGEL: Sorry Spike, but you must do these trials on your own, me Connor and Faith will wait outside
SPIKE: Right then see ya in a few Angel
Then all that was left was Angelus, Darla, Drusilla and Spike the champion of Sunnydale.
Slowly Angelus stepped forward shaking his finger at the soulful Spike
ANGELUS: You know something William, myself and the girls are truly disappointed in you, you had the making of a true Vampire Legend, you could’ve been up there with me, basking in the glory of being one of the worst recorded killers in history, but instead -
SPIKE: Oh for the love of God, Angelus, will you shut up yammering for just 5 bloody minutes, I was the second worst, not am the second worst, besides I have a soul, Slaying Powers, and am due to marry Buffy, once your Bosses go to hell once and for all.
Darla stepped forward in shock
DARLA: YOU’VE GOT A WHAT, AFTER ALL ME AND ANGELUS TAUGHT YOU THE WAYS OF ULTIMATE TORTURE!
SPIKE: Yes Darla, that is very interesting, but if I’m not mistaken, when Angelus was out hunting with Drusilla, you were teaching me how I should please Dru in bed
Angelus looked at Spike first, then at Darla
ANGELUS: William, how c-could you do that to me?
SPIKE: Oh come on Angelus, besides in terms of shagging vampires, your sire, was well worth it, I mean Dru, just well, she was awful, but Darla, Bloody hell, what an animal she was in bed
Drusilla vamps out and lunges for Spike
DRUSILLA: YOU ENGLISH BASTARD I’M GONNA KILL YOU!
SPIKE: COME ON THEN YOU LOONY BITCH TRY YOUR BEST!
So begins 15 minutes of pure fist fighting between the two vampires, then Spike picked up Drusilla, grabbed his sire’s neck as she flew threw the air, he then broke it in two pieces, she fell to the ground, with her separated from her body, as Spike landed feet first on the ground he came face to face with his two sire’s.
SPIKE: Right then
Spike lights up a cigarette
SPIKE: You two are probably thinking that I will kill you well that’s where you’re both wrong, because I need the pair of you in this fight, to assist Angel, Faith, Buffy, all the Slayers in the world and the Scooby Gang
When they came out of the cave, Spike noticed Angelus’s wicked smile before he went away to complete his final trial
SPIKE: Oh Angelus, if you ever touch, Angel, Connor, Dawn or even Buffy for that matter, I personally will make sure you don’t even get to Gondor, here go my sword chopping your heads off, so are we crystal clear on the plan?
ANGELUS: Um. Crystal Clear Spike
Suddenly Angel and the others shouted at Spike
ANGEL: SPIKE WHERE ARE YOU GOING NOW?
SPIKE: ANGEL, I AM GOING TO COMPLETE MY FINAL TRIAL – DEATH
ANGEL: (Horrified). DEATH!
SPIKE: Angel, all the trial consists of is me accepting death, courtesy of the Chinese Slayer and Robin’s Mum, Nikki and they will give to me Hope’s Sword, the weapon that can kill the First Evil
Angel looked at Spike,
SPIKE: I know what I'm doing Angel, just trust me on this.
ANGEL: Very well Spike, us lot will be waiting with Aragorn and Gandalf at the exit of the Dwimholt.
SPIKE: OK Angel, Oh by the way before it slips my mind, keep an eye on your evil ego and Darla, kill them if you have to, I can’t risk them hurting you, Connor, or Nibblet and Buffy
Angel nodded
ANGEL: Very well Spike
Then all of a sudden the cave doors opened for both parties
ANGEL: Spike, Go! We’ll meet you outside
Within five minutes Angel and the others had parted with Spike, while, the bleached - haired souled Vampire made his way towards the cave, where he recognised two figures
SPIKE: Hello, Nikki, Chinese Slayer, How’ve you two been?
NIKKI: All right, Considering, You?”
SPIKE: Well, to cut a long story short, I was implanted with a chip in me head, went the other side of the world, to get back my soul, was triggered by the First, then decided to choose the side of the Slayer, was nearly killed by your son, Robin, then I saved the world, thanks to Angel’s amulet, and then I was given a false destiny, and I helped Angel save the world, from Wolfram and Hart’s hell army.”
Nikki Wood is surprised
NIKKI: Well, Spike, it seems you have been quite busy since we last met
SPIKE: Yes Nikki, I haven’t forgotten what I did, any way I need the help of the Chinese Slayer and yourself to destroy the First Evil
NIKKI: Yes, We know, now then spread your legs apart, and put your arms into the air
SPIKE: OK, but I don’t know what that will -
All of a sudden, without any warning two sets of chains came out of the ceiling, and two came out of the ground, wrapped themselves around his legs.
SPIKE: WHAT THE BLOODY HELL IS THIS?
NIKKI: Its quite simple really Spike, you must accept death, from an illusion of your love, Buffy Summers and her sister, Dawn
SPIKE: Wha – Why?
CHINESE SLAYER: You see, Spike, this is your fear, should it come down to it, if your soul is taken away, the two people you care about the most will be the ones that have to kill you.
Spike rolled his eyes in disgust
SPIKE: Oh for Pete’s sake you two, just get it over and done then
Slowly the false Buffy and Dawn raised their crossbows, and fired, one went into his heart, the other, into his throat.
SPIKE: AHHH!
Spike yelled as he fell onto the floor, on his knees, Nikki Wood, mother of Spike, stepped forward
CHINESE SLAYER: Congratulations Spike, you have accepted death from the two that care about you the most, here in my hand I offer you Hope’s Dagger, the only weapon, that the First Evil is afraid of, and our services in this war
Spike smiled with thanks
SPIKE: And I gladly receive all three, Chinese Slayer and Nikki, mother of Robin Wood, now you two come with me we’re going to meet the others outside
SPIKE: Right
With that Spike, Nikki Wood and the Chinese Slayer went to meet the rest of the gang outside
SPIKE: Angel, Connor! We made it, and check this beauty out.
Angel, Connor and the others checked out the sword
CONNOR: Whoa that is some weapon Spike
SPIKE: Yeah, its great isn’t it?
ANGEL: Sure is
ANGEL: But in all truthfulness, Angel, I couldn’t’ve done it with you and Connor
With that Angel and Spike, smile at each other and shake hands.
ANGEL: Right then, as much as this is amusing to everyone, we have evil to stop.
Spike realised that Angelus, Darla and the others were standing there nearly laughing,
ANGEL: Um. Can we get on with it, Spike?
SPIKE: Oh, yeah right
With the sword wielded, and the spirits summoned, Spike, Angel, Connor, Faith, Angelus, Darla, the Chinese Slayer, Nikki Wood, Aragorn, King of Gondor and Gandalf the White, then set on horse – back towards Dunharrow.
SCENE 18
SPIKE'S RE-EMERGENCE
Eowyn, Gamling, the Rohrrim, the Scooby Gang and 7,000 slayers rode on their way up to the lady’s tent at the top of the hill,
WESTFOLD SOLDIER: Lady Eowyn, I’ve brought 600 from the Westfold
She nodded in approval, one of the soldiers from Snowbourne approached her,
SNOWBOURNE SOLDIER: My Lady, there are nine strangers waiting inside your tent, they say they have some news, I have managed to bring 300 soldiers with me.
EOWYN: Very well, thank you soldier
With that Eowyn and the rest of the Rohrrim rode up to the Rohan tents.
Eowyn, the Slayers and the Scoobies then tied the horses up and walked into Lady Eowyn’s tent, Straightaway Buffy asked the strangers
BUFFY: Alright, you strangers, reveal yourselves.
Spike was the one that had revealed himself first
SPIKE: Very well, Buffy, but honestly, do you really have to ask who I am?
BUFFY: S – Spike?
SPIKE: Yes Buffy, I have completed the trials, and I have wielded the Hope’s Dagger, and summoned the four spirits and –
BUFFY: Whoa, hang on a sec. Spike, did you say four spirits?
SPIKE: Yeah, why?
BUFFY: Well, we though there were supposed to be three, so who’s the other one then?
SPIKE: Oh bugger, I really was hoping it wouldn’t come to this
SCENE 19
SPIKE'S FAREWELL
Spike gestures to the four spirits
SPIKE: Alright you four, face around, I give you, the Chinese Slayer and Nikki Wood, killed by me in 1900 and 1977 respectively, mother of Connor: Darla, and finally the fourth spirit that I summoned the evil ego of Angel, known as Angelus and my grand - sire
Buffy and the Scooby Gang stood there in shock, while Rupert Giles stepped up and punched Spike in the face
SPIKE: Bloody hell Rupert, what did you do that for anyway?
GILES: YOU BLOODY STUPID GORMLESS BASTARD, YOU DO KNOW WHAT HE IS CAPABLE OF, AND WHO HE’S KILLED, SAY I DON’T KNOW JENNY CALENDAR
Spike then thumped Giles back in the face
SPIKE: LOOK, BEFORE YOU LOT GOES ACCUSING ME BEFORE KNOWING THE FACTS, I COULDN’T CHOOSE ANYONE ELSE, BECAUSE THE FIRST TRIAL WAS ABOUT LOYALTY!
Giles scoffed
GILES: Huh, well at least we know your loyalties lie then.
Spike explained why he had chosen Angelus and Darla,
SPIKE: Look, you guys, the reasons why I have chosen these two are because these two taught me everything I needed to know about being a vampire, anyway it was either choose the two vampires I trusted all my years I had with them, or bring along the nutty and insane Drusilla, so that’s why I chose them instead of her
GILES: Oh, OK, I see we’ve judged you wrong Spike
SPIKE: Yeah, I guess you have, oh and by the way, I’ve warned both Angelus or Darla try to harm any of the slayers or you guys, I’ve said that myself or Angel will personally make sure they go to hell and that they don’t come back ever, so any more accusations you wanna throw at me before I go
Giles and the rest shook their heads
SPIKE: Now, good now go get some armour ready for this guys, including Faith, Connor and Angel
As Spike turned around Angel grabbed his shoulder
ANGEL: Spike, you’re not coming with us?
SPIKE: Angel, you especially knew it would come to this, I have to go to meet Frodo and Sam at Minas Morgul.
With that, and realizing Spike was right, he let Spike get ready for the long journey to Minas Morgul.
Meanwhile Aragorn and Gandalf were waiting, with Shadowfax and Brego, for Spike and his horse, Slowly and beside themselves with tears, Buffy, her sister, her friends the slayers and Angel, Connor, Faith, Illyria, and the four spirits stood at the exit of Dunharrow, Every Slayer and Rohan Soldier, bowed their head as Spike walked down the hill, to where Aragorn and Gandalf were waiting.
SPIKE: Hold on Aragorn, before I leave I need to say some goodbyes, before we leave for Gondor
Aragorn and Gandalf looked at each other and agreed.
ARAGORN: Very well Spike.
SPIKE: Well, this is it guys, this could be the last time you see me, oh that reminds me, Xander, take this.
XANDER: Whoa, hang on a mo, Spike I can’t take the coat, you’ve had that for 30 years, but I tell you what, I’ll make sure, that Dawn, Andrew and Buffy are still alive at the end, how’s that sound?
Spike and Xander shook hands, as they put the hatred between them, behind them to become friends. Then Spike shook hands with Kennedy, Willow, Andrew and Giles, then he came to the two girls he’d ever cared about: Dawn and Buffy Summers
SPIKE: Dawn, Buffy I don’t know if I’ll succeed in this journey, hell, I don’t know what will happen, but what I do know, is whatever happens, I want you two to look after yourselves, should anything happen to me.
With that Spike kissed Buffy and then left the Slayers, his friends and the love of his life behind as he set out with the King of Gondor and the White Wizard, towards Minas Tirith.
SCENE 20
SPIKE'S ARRIVAL AT MINAS TIRITH
In mid-air, there were two quick zaps of light, and Frodo and Sam Gamgee fell out of the sky, and landed on the floor next to the stairs of Cirith Ungol
SAM: Ow! That hurt, Hey! How come we’re back here?
FRODO: This is where we’re supposed to meet Spike, Sam.
SAM: Oh, I knew that Mr. Frodo, I was jus – just testing your brain that was it!
Frodo smirks
FRODO: Whatever, Sam, Whatever you say
MINAS TIRITH
Meanwhile, just over 6 miles away, the other members of the Fellowship of the Ring were trying to figure out what was going on,
FARAMIR: Where – Where have Aragorn, Gandalf and the two hobbits gone”
Just then Aragorn, Gandalf and Spike burst through the door of the King’s Hall,
FARAMIR: Aragorn, Gandalf! Where did you two go to anyway, and who is this stranger that you have brought with you?
ARAGORN: Ah, excuse us, this is Spike, the champion of Sunnydale, and the saviour of the world, who stopped the First’s armies from destroying the world.
All of a sudden there was a deathly silence in the Kings Hall, all you could here was the sound of birds singing in the sun – lit sky
SPIKE: So, it's nice to have such a warm reception.
Spike realises that the rumours that had been floating around Middle Earth about him were true
SPIKE: So who’s the pointy – Eared Woman then?
Legolas realises that Spike was talking about him stepped up to him face to face.
LEGOLAS: I am no Woman, I am an Elf, from the Mirkwood forest, and part of the Fellowship of
Spike stood there laughing
SPIKE: Oh come on mate, I’m joking, and anyway I just popped around to find out, how long it will take for me to get to Minas Morgul, to meet the Hobbits.
The Fellowship look from one to the other, then Pippin, Guard of the Citadel, speaks
PIPPIN: Mr Spike
SPIKE: Please Pippin, call me Spike
PIPPIN: OK, Spike, there’s just one tiny weenie problem, on getting to Minas Morgul
SPIKE: Oh, and that would be what?”
FARAMIR: The city, Osgilath on the edge of the River, between Minas Morgul and the Pelennor Fields, well its been taken over by Orcs and Demons, from Minas Morgul.
Spike started to pace up and down the hall of the King’s Hall,
SPIKE: Look, guys there has to be some way, that I can get through the Orc and Demon – filled city of Osgilath, through to Minas Morgul, by the way which way will Frodo, Sam and myself be going once I meet them?
Gandalf spoke with a concerned tone in his voice
GANDALF: Spike, you and the two hobbits, will be climbing the stairs of Cirith Ungol and then the pass of that very place
It was at that very moment, that Spike’s concerned gaze met that of the Fellowship’s
SPIKE: You mean we’ll be going through S – Shelob’s Lair
GANDALF: Yes Spike, I’m afraid that’s true
SPIKE: Right then Gandalf, I want you to do that light spell that will send them away from me as I head through the city.
THE PELENNOR FIELDS
With that Gandalf nodded in agreement, as he and Spike headed out towards Osgilath, the closer they got, the more and more Spike got nervous, but like he always did, he plucked up his courage and clutching Hope’s Dagger in his hand,
SPIKE: OK, whitey lets do this
In a flash, out of Gandalf’s staff came a ray of bright, white, light, which caused the long line of white light, straight down the middle of the city, then Spike got ready to jump.
GANDALF: Spike, I know you didn't want this, but all you, Sam and Frodo have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to you.
SPIKE: OK, Gandalf, I’ll see you and the rest of the gang at the end
With that Spike jumped off Shadowfax and ran through Osgilath, through on the path towards Minas Morgul, as soon as Spike got towards the area where the two hobbits, Frodo Baggins, and Samwise Gamgee were waiting, he turned around to stare back at Minas Tirith, Spike smiled at Minas Tirith and murmured
SPIKE: Good Luck Guys.
SCENE 21
THE STAIRS OF CIRITH UNGOL
Finally Spike, champion of Sunnydale, turned and headed towards the stairs of Cirith Ungol; sometime later Spike bumped into Sam, Frodo and Gollum
SPIKE: Hey guys, how you doing?
FRODO/SAM: We’re fine Spike
Spike noticed Gollum standing at Frodo’s side
SPIKE: FRODO! WHAT THE BLOODY HELL IS THAT TREACHOUS CREATURE DOING HERE? I MEAN HE TRIED TO KILL YOU LAST TIME REMEMBER?
Sam, then sensed the Nazgul were about to come out of Minas Morgul,
SAM: FRODO, SPIKE HEAD FOR THAT HIDDEN AREA BY THE STAIRS NOW!
Spike and Frodo, didn't see why they needed to hide
SPIKE: Sam, why on earth would we need to hide anyway
Sam then hinted to the Nazgul that rose to the top of Minas Morgul.
SAM: THAT’S WHY!
SPIKE: HOLY FU–
In a flash, the two hobbits: Frodo and Sam, the Vampire Champion: Spike, and the hobbit-like creature: Gollum ducked into the hidden area, then the worst thing that could possibly happen did happen, the Nazgul screamed, causing Frodo to clutch his shoulder
FRODO: Sp – Spike, I can feel his blade
Before Spike could answer, he was clutching his heart.
SPIKE: Sa – Sam, Frodo, I can feel the evil trying to take away my soul
They stopped screaming and flew out towards Osgilath
SPIKE: Phew, that was close, guys, quick! Before they sense we’re here, lets climb the stairs.
The two hobbits agreed and started climbing with Gollum leading the way up the stairs.
SCENE 22
MINAS TIRITH
While Gandalf, Aragorn and the rest of the Fellowship were gathering, ready for battle, unbeknown to them, the army of 300,000 Orcs; Demons and Vampires, combined were marching on their way towards Minas Tirith, in an attempt to destroy the ancient fortress, and all of Middle Earth.
In the Kings Hall Aragorn, Faramir, Boromir, Denethor, Gandalf and the rest of the Fellowship were arguing what to do, whilst Merry and Pippin, were out by the Tree of the King, keeping an eye out on the Pelennor fields, for any sign of activity coming from Osgilath, then Pippin spotted several tall battlements and thousands upon thousands of Demons, Orcs and Vampires making their way slowly towards Minas Tirith
PIPPIN: Erm. Merry, old pal, you go get the others, I’ll get the other soldiers of Gondor ready
MERRY: Right Pip.
And with that Merry, ran towards the King’s Hall.
Boromir, Faramir and their father along with Gimli and Legolas were arguing how to take on the Armies of Hell
BOROMIR: LOOK ARAGORN, I THINK WE SHOULD SIT DOWN AND GO THROUGH THE PLAN, SO WE ALL UNDERSTAND WHATS GOING ON -
Just then Merry came running through the Hall doors
MERRY: Erm. Aragorn, you and the others might want to see this
Aragorn rolled his eyes in disgust
ARAGORN: Alright, but this better be good, Merry
Merry led his fellow members of the Fellowship towards the edge of the seventh level, whereby they were shocked and stunned by what they saw
ARAGORN: WHAT THE HELL IS THAT!
MERRY; That is the army we’re facing, if you remember Spike did mention it to us before he left to meet Frodo and Sam
Aragorn’s face turned from stunned to determined
ARAGORN: RIGHT THEN, GANDALF, BOROMIR, FARAMIR, DENETHOR, EVERYONE ELSE, PREPARE FOR BATTLE!
Straight away the King of Gondor, the two former Stewards and the current Steward of Gondor and the rest of the Fellowship of the Ring got ready as Aragorn, in his King Armour, led the others down the seven levels of Minas Tirith towards the top of the gate.
GANDALF: ALL RIGHT THEN, LETS SEND THESE FOUL SOULESS BEASTS BACK INTO HELL, FIRE THE CATAPULTS, FIRE!
Gandalf shouted, straight away the soldiers of Gondor fired the catapults, which threw large pieces of rubble, from the last major battle into the battlements, and also crushing, several Demons, Orcs and Vampires.
Then all of a sudden the Nazgul came swooping down from the sky, Merry, Pippin and some of the soldiers of Gondor cowered in fear of the Ringwraiths, and Gandalf then rallied the fearful men and the two hobbits
GANDALF: MEN OF GONDOR, HOBBITS, STAND FIRM, DON’T GIVE IN TO FEAR, STAND AT YOUR POSTS! FIGHT!
Gandalf noticed that three battlements were heading for the top of the gate, and told Aragorn to get the soldiers to aim at the Trolls
ARAGORN: AIM FOR THE TROLLS, NOT THE BATTLEMENTS, KILL THE TROLLS”.
Aragorn shouted towards his soldiers, then came a flurry of arrows killing at least one of the trolls on one of the battlement towers, but it was late, for now the closest battlement towers to Minas Tirith, had now lowered its drawbridge, onto the top of the gate, where thousands of Orcs, Demons and Vampires coming flooding onto the top of Minas Tirith, then Aragorn ordered the Steward, and the two former Stewards to attack
ARAGORN: FARAMIR, BOROMIR, AND DENETHOR! CHARGE!
Needing no second invitation the three of them charged into the oncoming army.
The Fellowship and the Men of Gondor were fighting the armies of Hell, but they were all fighting a losing battle
ARAGORN: WE NEED TO SPILT UP, BOROMIR, DENETHOR, FARAMIR, TAKE MERRY AND PIPPIN AND SEVERAL GUARDS DOWN TO THE GATE, NOW!
Three Orcs came towards the Fellowship but Merry ran and shoved his sword through one, silt the others throat and cut the other Orcs head off,
MERRY: REALLY! YOU COULDN’T’VE THOUGHT’VE THAT LIKE SAY, HALF AN HOUR AGO!
ARAGORN: LOOK, MERRY WE DON’T HAVE TIME TO ARGUE, DO IT NOW!
Aragorn started to argue, but while all this was going on, Grond, a massive battering ram was starting to ram the Gate of Minas Tirith.
GANDALF: Aragorn, we don’t have time to spilt up, we must all head to Gondor’s Gate
The Fellowship and several Soldiers of Gondor, stood inside the gate, waiting for the Onslaught of Demons, Vampires and Orcs, Gandalf reassured them
GANDALF: Steady, Steady! You are members of the Fellowship of the Ring and Soldiers of Gondor, no matter what smashes that Gate open you will stand your ground.
Then the Gates burst to see a flurry of Trolls, Demons, Orcs and Vampires charging at them, there was a horrified look on the men’s faces, Faramir signalled to his men
FARAMIR: VOLLEY!
Suddenly a flurry of several hundred arrows were fired at the Orcs and the Trolls, but the Vampires and Demons and Vampires, kept coming at them
ARAGORN: DRAW SWORDS, CHARGE!
Aragorn shouted, as the men took their enemies head-on, several Vampires were decapitated in the process by Merry, Gimli, Legolas and Gandalf, but more and more were coming at them.
Aragorn realised if they didn’t do something, then they would all be killed,
ARAGORN: QUICK, ALL OF YOU GET BACK TO THE THIRD LEVEL, HURRY! GO!”
Not hesitating for a moment they retreated to the third level, outside Minas Tirith, The Beast, the Master and Drusilla sensed that victory was within their grasp
THE BEAST: Right then, you two, move into the city, kill all in you path
THE MASTER/DRUSILLA: With pleasure
As they ran into the city, killing every, woman, child and soldier of Gondor they could find
Gandalf was trying to give some encouragement to the men of Gondor
GANDALF: FIGHT! FIGHT TO THE LAST MAN!
Then there was a noise that Eomer recognised only too well.
EOMER: GANDALF, THE HORNS OF ROHAN, HELP HAS FINALLY COME AT LAST!
SCENE 23
RIDE OF THE CHAMPIONS
Lady Eowyn led the Rohrrim and the Scooby Gang onto the top of the Pelennor fields, when they saw the amount of Demons, Orcs and Vampires, the courage all faded from everyone, even Buffy, Angel and their friends, near Buffy, Andrew, had lost all hope, faith and courage he had left, then his girlfriend Dawn grabbed his hand to reassure him
DAWN: Remember Andrew, courage, and courage for our friends and for Spike, Frodo and Sam
Angel’s horse was getting nervous, but he steadies it, and himself as he gets his courage back, quickly Lady Eowyn, grits her teeth, and turns back towards the army of 10,000 warriors, she rode towards the Slayers
EOWYN: BUFFY! TAKE YOUR FLANK DOWN THE LEFT!
Buffy acknowledged that
BUFFY: Flank ready
Eowyn then rode to Gamling, Angels Gang and the other half of the slayers
EOWYN: ANGEL, GAMLING! TAKE YOUR FLANK LEFT AFTER YOU HAVE PASSED THE WALL!
Straight away Lady Eowyn rallied the troops using the speech her uncle had used on that fateful day on the field of Pelennor
EOWYN: FORTH AND FEAR NO DARKNESS, ARISE! ARISE RIDERS OF THE KING, HEARTS SHALL BE STAKED, SPEARS SHALL BE SHAKEN, SHIELDS SHALL BE BROKEN, A SWORD DAY, A RED DAY, ERE THE SUN RISES!!”
Slowly the Slayers and the Riders of Rohan lowered their spears, Dawn then held Andrew’s hand
DAWN: whatever happens Andrew, stay with me I’ll look after you
Andrew then turned to his left to hear a clattering noise: It was Eowyn’s sword as she rode down the front of the army
EOWYN: RIDE NOW! RIDE NOW! RIDE NOW, RIDE TO RUIN, AND THE WORLD’S ENDING! DEATH!
THE ROHRRIM: DEATH!
Dawn and Andrew, who were bracing themselves, then they shouted it again, this time with Andrew and Dawn’s
ANDREW/THE ROHRRIM/DAWN: DEATH! DEATH!
They then charged on down the hill, at once the Beast noticed the charge of the Scoobies and the Rohrrim, he got the Orc Archers at the front of the side of the army
THE BEAST: FIRE!
But the Orc arrows only took a few of the army down, running out of ideas, the Beast ordered the archers to fire whenever they felt like it
THE BEAST: FIRE AT WILL!
But that didn’t do any good either as they were still charging downhill with Lady Eowyn, Gamling, Angel and Buffy leading the attack.
In chorus, they shout
THE ROHIRRIM/THE SCOOBY GANG/ANGELS GANG: CHARGE!
SCENE 24
THE STAIRS OF CIRITH UNGOL
Spike’s soul was starting to bear on him as he continued to climb the stairs towards Cirith Ungol, slowly he was starting to loose his grip
SPIKE: F – Frodo I can’t hold on much longer
Frodo wasn’t about to lose Spike so early on into the Quest
FRODO: SPIKE! HANG ON!
Then suddenly Spike lost his footing on one of the stairs
SPIKE: AHH!
GOLLUM: Be very careful Spike, it’s very far to fall on the stairs
Gollum was at a resting-place for the three of them.
GOLLUM: Come Spike
It was then that The One Ring round Spike’s neck started to whisper to Smeagol
GOLLUM: Come to Smeagol
Sam noticed what Smeagol was trying to do
SAM: SPIKE, LOOK OUT
Sam draw's his sword
SAM: GET BACK YOU!
For now Smeagol resisted the temptation of the Ring, as he grabbed Spike’s hand and pulled him onto the ledge
GOLLUM: WHY DOES HE HATES POOR SMEAGOL WHAT HAS SMEAGOL EVER DONE TO HIM?
Smeagol then noticed Spike was very tired and exhausted
GOLLUM: Master? Master carries heavy burden, Smeagol knows how heavy burden is, Smeagol look after Spike
Meanwhile, while all this was going on, Sam put his sword back in disgust, then Gollum whispered something in Spike’s ear
GOLLUM: He wants it, he needs it badly, Smeagol and other master sees it in his eyes, very soon he will ask you for it, the fat hobbit will ask for it and later take it from you
Spike whirls round to look at Sam with suspicious eyes, and then he puts the Ring back underneath his T-shirt. Frodo, Spike and Gollum were asleep while Sam was trying hard to stay awake in case Gollum tried to sneak on him again, but in the end Sam fell asleep, as soon as he did Gollum woke up and sneaked down towards his bag of Lembas bread and Spike’s Pig Blood, he picked up the Pigs Blood and the Lembas bread with the tips of his fingers he then put a bit of Spike’s Pig Blood on Sam’s lips and dropped a few crumbs on Sam’s Lothlorien Cloak, and chucked the remainder of both food supplies over the edge and down the stairs. Sam had just reawakened as Gollum was cleaning his hands
SAM: What are you up to? Sneaking off are we?
GOLLUM: S-Sneaking? Fat Hobbit is always so polite, Smeagol shows them no one else could find and they say sneak? Sneak? Very nice My Precious, Oh very nice -
SAM: Alright! All right, you just startled me is all, anyway what were you doing?
Gollum looked at Sam with an evil grin on his face
GOLLUM: Sneaking
SAM: Fine, have it your own way”
Sam went over to Spike and Frodo
SAM: Mr Frodo, Spike sorry to wake you both, but we have to be moving on
Spike got up very wearily,
SPIKE: Its dark here
Sam looked at Spike as he searched for the food supplies
SAM: Its always dark here, always has been, always will -
Sam was now panicking
SAM: FRODO! SPIKE, THE PIGS BLOOD AND THE ELVEN BREAD: IT'S GONE!
Frodo looked worried
FRODO: What, but that’s all the food and drink us three had left
Sam gets up and turns to look at Gollum
SAM: Gollum took it! He must have!
Gollum looked at Frodo and Spike
GOLLUM: No – No not poor Smeagol, besides I hates nasty red drink and elf bread
But Sam wasn’t to be fooled
SAM: YOU’RE A LYING WRETCH! WHAT DID YOU DO WITH IT?
Spike suddenly got up and looked at Sam with suspicious eyes
SPIKE: Sam, he doesn’t drink the blood or eat the bread
GOLLUM: Spike, what’s this?
Gollum pushes down crumbs of his jacket and wipes Spike’s Pig Blood of his mouth
GOLLUM: Look, Red drink on his mouth and crumbs on Fat Hobbit’s Jacketses, He took it!
While Spike and Frodo look at Sam in disgust, Gollum jumps down in front of them
GOLLUM: I’ve seen him, he always drinking and eating when Masters isn't looking
Sam was now very angry about the lies that Gollum had put in Frodo and Spike's heads
SAM: NOW THAT’S A FLITHY LIE!
He smacks Gollum to the floor and starts hitting him again and again, until Spike grabs him by the collar
SPIKE: SAM NOO!
Then suddenly Spike collapsed on the floor, completely exhausted
SAM: Oh My, I didn’t mean it to go so far, I was just so angry here let’s just rest a bit
But Spike didn’t want to rest he wanted to carry on
SPIKE; I- I’m alright
SAM: No Spike, you’re not all right, it's that Gollum, it's this place, it's that small golden ring round your neck!
As soon as Sam had said this Spike moved away a bit towards Frodo, keeping his eye on Sam
SAM: I c-could help a bit, I could carry it for a while, share the load
These words seemed to echo through Spike’s ear
SAM: Carry it for a while. Share the load. The load. Load
SPIKE: STAY AWAY!
SAM: I don’t wanna keep it I just wanna help!
Gollum came from behind Spike and Frodo
GOLLUM: See, See? The Fat One just wants it for himself
Sam got up, fighting back his tears
SAM: SHUT UP YOU! GET OUTTA HERE!
Spike was now looking at Sam with cold eyes
SPIKE: No Sam its you
SAM: Wha - What?
Sam was on the verge on crying now.
SPIKE: I’m sorry Sam
Spike’s voice was getting less like the Spike Sam had met just a few hours earlier.
SAM: But Spike, Gollum’s a Liar, he’s poisoned both you and Mr. Frodo against me
SPIKE: You can’t help me anymore
Sam was nearly crying,
SAM: You don’t mean that
Then with the coldest tone in his voice Sam had heard
SPIKE: Go home
Sam then fell to the ground, with his head in his hands crying, whiles Spike and Frodo looked at Sam for a second then carried on climbing up the stairs, followed by Gollum.
SCENE 25
THE PELENNOR FIELDS
The army of the Slayers the Rohrrim and Angel Investigations were split into three groups tearing through the combined Orc, Demon, and Vampire Army, Angel and his gang, including the four spirits that Spike had summoned, Buffy and the Slayers were dealing with the Vampires, Eowyn, Gamling and the men of Rohan were charging their way through the Orcs, while Buffy and the Slayers were dealing with the Vampires, Angel’s gang were trying to fight what seemed an impossible number of demons, suddenly, out of the corner of Angel’s eye, his son was thrown from his horse
ANGEL: CONNOR!
Connor slowly got up and grabbing his sword, started killing Orcs, Demons and Vampires, then all of a sudden about at least 50 Demons and Orcs combined were heading straight for Angel’s son, but behind him, along with Angel, came Angelus, Illyria, Darla, the Chinese Slayer, Nikki Wood, Andrew and Dawn.
So began a festival of Demon killing with Andrew and Connor leading the fight, but there were too many coming and in a spilt second Andrew got all the others to move back
ANDREW: RUN! RUN!
Then Andrew did a karate kick on one, slid his sword through another, and killed another three in a row, by slitting their throats open, then the Beast came slowly walking through the crowd of Demons he raised his Bow and Arrow and waited until he got a clear shot, then released the Arrow that ended up in Andrew’s gut, Andrew gasped in horror, then Dawn turned round in horror to see that Andrew had been stabbed, but the hero Andrew had become, he fought on in the process he got stabbed two more times by the Beast’s Arrows, then, with angry tears in their eyes Angel and his gang charge towards the Beast, but he charges them away and throws Dawn straight into Angel, he then walks over to Buffy’s sister and gets his hand round her neck
THE BEAST: YOU FOOL! NO ONE CAN KILL ME, NOT EVEN YOUR PATHETIC EXCUSE FOR A BOY-FRIEND, BECAUSE I’VE JUST KILLED HIM!
But unknown to the Beast Andrew got up using the last ounce of strength he had left in his Watcher body.
ANDREW: WELL, BEASTIE BOY, THAT’S WHERE YOU’RE – WRONG!
Then the prophecy about no Slayer or champion killing the Beast was re – written, thanks to Andrew Wells, after he had killed him, he sank to the floor, with Dawn at his side, at this point Andrew is near death, he smiles
ANDREW: M – My Dawn, Dawn L – Listen to me I’m nearly dead, you have to let me go
But Dawn refused to let him go
DAWN: N – No Andrew I’m going to save Y – You
Andrew smiled at his girl
ANDREW: You already did, you saved me from being killed by the Beast himself,
D – Dawn my liver has a hole in it, a – along with my heart T – tell Spike what I’ve done and tell him thank him for the advice he’s given me D – Dawn!
With that Andrew’s body was lifeless, his facial expression: smiling at Dawn
DAWN: Goodbye Andrew, my love,
Dawn kisses him on his fore head. Angel sensed victory was near
ANGEL: DRIVE THEM TO THE RIVER!
EOWYN: MAKE SAFE THE CITY
Then all of a sudden, there was a loud roaring noise in the distance: it was the sound of Trolls and Mumakil.
The Rohrrim, the Slayers, and Angel’s gang stared in amazement at the size of the Trolls Eowyn rallied the troops for the second time
ANGEL: What is that?
CONNOR: What the Fuck are those?
Gamling murmurs to Connor
GAMLING: Mumakil
ANGEL/CONNOR: Ah.
Eowyn shows a determined look on her face.
EOWYN: REFORM THE LINE, REFORM THE LINE!
She then turns to Angel, Buffy and Gamling
EOWYN: ANGEL, BUFFY, GAMLING SOUND THE CHARGE, TAKE THESE BEASTS HEAD-ON, CHARGE!
With that they took the Mumakil head-on, but it turned into a disaster, the Mumakil with the front of their trunks swept members of the Slayers and the Rohrrim aside with the greatest of ease, then Dawn spotted of the Rohrrim’s spears on the floor she picked it up, and got back on her horse and picked out the leader, thanks to Angel
ANGEL: DAWN!
DAWN: YEH ANGEL?
ANGEL: THE ONE IN THE MIDDLE, THE ONE LEADING THE CHARGE, HE’S THE LEADER OF THE MUMAKIL
DAWN: RIGHT!
ANGEL: ONE MORE THING, AIM FOR THE HEADS, EVERYONE, AIM FOR THE HEADS!
Then there was a flurry of arrows flying towards the heads of the Mumakil, in which time 5 of the 9 were taken down, Angel, Connor, Illyria, Dawn, Xander and Buffy had been knocked from their horses and were busy killing Vampires, then two men, one black, and one white landed at the feet of Angel.
Slowly they got up, brushing the Vampire dust of their clothes
SCENE 26
THE RE-EMERGANCE OF GUNN AND WESLEY
GUNN: See Wes, I told you we should’ve stayed with Fred in heaven
They turned round to see Angel and Connor about to be killed by two Vampires, without thinking Wesley drew his sword, and Gunn drew his homemade axe and killed the pair of them
WESLEY: You know Angel, sometimes you and your son can be really slow
Angel was in shock
ANGEL: My God, Gunn, Wes, you – you’re alive!
Connor ran up to Gunn and Wesley and hugged the pair of them
CONNOR: I’m so glad you two are alive
Connor then punched Gunn and Wesley in the faces
GUNN: OW! CONNOR WHAT WAS THAT FOR?
CONNOR: HAVE YOU TWO ANY IDEA WHAT ANGEL, MYSELF, ILLYRIA AND SPIKE HAVE BEEN THROUGH THESE PAST FEW MONTHS
Wesley and Gunn stood there laughing; Connor and his father stood there a bit annoyed
CONNOR: What’s so funny you two, haven’t you two listened to a word I’ve just
said?
Illyria then noticed a demon heading for Connor
ILLYRIA: CONNOR! MOVE
In an instant Illyria pushed Connor out of the way and punched her fist straight threw the demon’s head.
CONNOR: Whoa! Illyria that was so cool!
ILLYRIA: Yeah, well I am Illyria, God-King of the -
Angel rolled his eyes in disgust, completely annoyed with Illyria going on and on about what she used to be.
ANGEL: OH FOR PETE’S SAKE ILLYRIA, GIVE IT A REST WILL YOU?
Meanwhile Dawn was fighting alongside her sister, Xander, Willow, Kennedy and at least 500,000 other slayers, when she realized that the fight on the Pelennor Fields was won Giles turned to her and gave her a hand up and turned round to see that the four spirits that Spike had summoned: the Chinese Slayer and Nikki Wood had destroyed most of the Army that had set for Minas Tirith, while Angelus and Darla had destroyed the others that had laid siege to Minas Tirith.
Connor was standing next to his dad and the rest of Angel Investigations, except for Spike, who was being led to what, seemed certain death by Gollum.
CONNOR: Well dad, we did it, we saved the world now then let's go back to LA
ANGEL: Erm, not quite, Connor, we have to tend to the wounded, and send Andrew after Spike, once Aragorn has tended to him, because as legend has said The King has the heads of a healer
Connor, Angel and everyone else agreed and headed towards Minas Tirith
SCENE 27
ENEMIES'S PROMISES FULFILLED
Angelus, Darla, the Chinese Slayer and Nikki Wood were standing in front of Angel, Illyria, Connor, and the Scooby Gang Angelus stepped forward to speak with his good alter ego.
ANGELUS: Release us
Connor disagrees
CONNOR: Bad idea Dad, very handy in a tight spot these people are, despite the fact they’re dead
Angelus was now getting impatient
ANGELUS: SPIKE SAID YOU WOULD GIVE US YOUR WORD!
Angel nodded in agreement
ANGEL: I hold your oath fulfilled, Chinese Slayer, Nikki Wood, come forward please go the pair of you be at peace
The Chinese Slayer and Nikki Wood smiled and disappeared into the air to rest in peace. Angelus was now annoyed
ANGELUS: ANGEL YOU SAID WE COULD REST IN PEACE!
Angel walked up face to face with his evil alter ego.
ANGEL: LOOK YOU BIG IRISH TWIT, THE REASON WHY I HAVEN’T SENT YOU AND DARLA TO REST IN PEACE, IS BECAUSE YOU ARE STILL NEEDED IN THIS FIGHT ALL RIGHT! NOW THEN CAN WE GET TO THE HOUSES OF HEALING! THANK YOU
SCENE 28
THE HOUSES OF HEALING
Meanwhile at Minas Tirith, Angel was carrying Andrew into the Houses of Healing, where the Fellowship of the Ring were
ANGEL: CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHERE I COULD FIND THE KING OF GONDOR!
Aragorn returned from the room that held Merry and Pippin
ARAGORN: I am the King of Gondor, Angel
Angel smiled and carried Andrew over to Aragorn
ANGEL: This is Andrew Wells, a Watcher he was struck with several arrows on the Pelennor Fields, and can you heal him? It would mean a lot to us and especially Dawn
Aragorn turned to look at Dawn,
DAWN: Please Aragorn, save him, I need him.
ARAGORN: Very well Angel, Dawn I will heal him
Aragorn nodded as he knelt by Andrew’s lifeless body and placed his hand on the forehead of the Watcher and whispered the words of the healer, Aragorn slowly lifted his hand from Andrew’s forehead, and muttered some words under his breath, while the Scooby Gang looked on in hope and concern.
ARAGORN: There Angel, fellow warriors I have done my part, all we can do is let him rest, until he is ready to wake up
As Aragorn, the Fellowship of the Ring, all the Slayers of the world and the Scooby Gang left the Houses of Healing and followed the Fellowship towards the Kings Hall Angel had turned round to see Dawn staying in the room, at Andrew’s bedside.
ANGEL: Dawn come on, we have to give Andrew some rest, he’ll come round and see us all when he’s ready
Dawn knew that Angel was right, and with that agreed she left with the rest of the Slayers.
Fifteen minutes later, Andrew woke up along with Merry and Pippin and after all three had got dressed they made their way towards the Kings Hall.
SCENE 29
ANDREW'S PLAN
Buffy, Angel, the Fellowship of the Ring, all the Slayers in the world, Lady Eowyn, and Kings Eomer and Aragorn were in the Kings Hall, worried of Spike’s whereabouts, having not heard anything for several months. Willow had tried every locator spell she could think of.
WILLOW: Angel, Buffy I’m sorry, I ‘ve tried every locator spell I know, but unfortunately Spike and the hobbits have passed beyond my sight, sadly the darkness is deepening.
Angel refuses to believe that
ANGEL: Willow, if the First had taken away Spike’s soul and unleashed the REAL Spike and if Sauron had the Ring, we would all know by now
Then Gandalf stepped forward
GANDALF: But it's only a matter of time, they’ve suffered a defeat yes, but behind the walls of Mordor, the First Evil and Sauron are both regrouping.
Boromir had had enough of this Sauron being around
BOROMIR: Come on Gandalf! Let them stay there let them rot! Why should us lot give a damn anyway?
Angel then turned around to the two former Stewards and the current Steward of Gondor
ANGEL: Because you three, Spike and Frodo are being led to certain death by Gollum into Shelob’s Lair, and should they get through that alive, then they will face getting through at least 500,000 Orcs, Vampires and Demons combined
Everyone’s faces turned sombre, then Angel spoke up
ANGEL: It's my fault, I’ve sent Spike to his death
Then Andrew, Merry and Pippin burst through the doors of the Kings Hall; all in union they objected
ANDREW/MERRY/PIPPIN: NO!
Suddenly everyone whirled round to see the two hobbits of Rohan and Gondor and Andrew: the Watcher standing right between them
ANDREW: Listen, you guys, there is still hope for Spike, he needs time and safe passage across the Mordor plains of Gorogoth, all of us here, we can give Spike that?
Gimli came up to the Watcher,
GIMLI: Oh and how do you propose that to happen then Mr Wells?
Andrew smiled at the Dwarf.
ANDREW: Oh that’s easy, draw out The First Evil, Sauron and both their armies, empty their lands, then you transport me to where Spike is, and you guys gather all your full strength and march on the Black Gate.
Aragorn and the other members of the Fellowship nearly choked on their goblets of ale.
ARAGORN: YOU WHAT! ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND?
Andrew shook his head
ANDREW: Not for us, but while I help Spike you guys can give Spike his chance, if we keep Evil’s gaze fixed upon us
He looked at Aragorn, Gandalf and Angel
ANDREW: Keep Sauron and The First blind to the one thing they fear that moves.
Wesley knew exactly what Andrew was on about.
WESLEY: Its genius, a diversion, to distract Sauron and the First from Spike
Eomer, King of Rohan stepped towards Andrew,
EOMER: Andrew, look we can’t achieve victory through the strength of 500 million slayers and the men of Rohan and Gondor
Gandalf wasn’t so sure of the plan
GANDALF: Andrew, I fear this won’t work, as long as the Fellowship has been fighting against him, we know that they will suspect the trap, they won’t take the bait.
Gimli liked the idea
GIMLI: Big certainties of death, a tiny amount of success, well what are we waiting for?
Angel held his hand in disagreement
ANGEL: No, not yet, you guys don’t head towards the Black Gate until you’ve had confirmation from me
Andrew stood there confused,
ANDREW: B – But I thought I was going, Angel
ANGEL: Yes Andrew, but I have known Spike longer than any of you guys, and maybe I can make him see sense
The Scooby Gang knew Angel was right
ANGEL: Right then Willow teleport me to Spike
Angel got ready for Willow to teleport him to the entrance to Shelob’s Lair, Buffy shouted towards her ex - boyfriend
BUFFY: ANGEL WAIT
Angel turned round to face Buffy
ANGEL: What is it Buffy?
BUFFY: I want you and Spike to return safely to Gondor after all this is over
Angel smiled at the Slayer with a simple answer
ANGEL: Of course we will, Buffy besides we’re both Vampire champions that have saved the world, so of course we’ll come through
As Angel turned towards the door, he saw that Merry and Pippin were blocking his path with frowns on their faces
ANGEL: Merry, Pippin, don’t fret, Spike will make sure that himself, Frodo and Sam return to Gondor safely
With that the two hobbits moved out of the way, Angel stood in position ready for Willow to teleport him
WILLOW: Ready, Angel?
Angel nodded at the witch
ANGEL: Ready as I’ll ever be, oh Will one more thing, I want you to be in contact with me but only when I say so, Okay
Willow agreed
WILLOW: Ok Angel TELEPORTAOS!
Within three seconds Willow had transported Angel to Shelob’s Lair. All that there was of Angel was a little bit black smoke
CONNOR: See you in a few hours, Dad
SCENE 30
THE PASS OF CIRITH UNGOL
Angel fell out of the sky and landed on his stomach at the top of the secret stairs leading into Shelob’s Lair
ANGEL: Ow! Oh well at least I didn’t get knocked out for a change, like Giles
GILES: OI ANGEL, I HEARD THAT! NOW CAN YOU SEE SPIKE AND THE OTHERS YET?
Angel was still reeling from the shock that Giles could have telepathic conversations with him
ANGEL: Erm. No not yet, hang on, there are three figures climbing up the stairs, doesn’t look like Sam’s with them, though, my guess is Gollum has poisoned Spike and Frodo against Sam
GILES: Ok, but keep in touch
ANGEL: Ok Giles
With that Angel climbed onto a ledge above them, as they got to the top Angel watched with sympathy and concern as Spike struggled to the entrance of Shelob’s Lair
ANGEL: My God, Spike hasn’t got enough strength to stand up, Frodo’s having to help him, he’s got so little strength he won’t be able to fight off the monster that’s lurking in the cave. Aragorn you there?
ARAGORN: Yes what is it?
ANGEL: To hell with this I’m going to try and make Spike and Frodo see sense
ARAGORN: Right Angel, good luck
ANGEL: Thanks Aragorn
Angel jumped down from the ledge so hard; he nearly scared the three companions half to death or in Spike’s case more to death.
ANGEL: Evening guys, going anywhere special, besides Gollum leading you two to your deaths
Spike smirked at his grandsire
SPIKE: What are you talking about Angel?
Angel couldn’t believe what he was hearing
ANGEL: What do you mean, what am I talking about? Gollum has poisoned both of you against Sam, don’t the two of you see that?
SPIKE: No, Angel we don’t, besides do you wanna help us or not?
Angel reluctantly agreed
ANGEL: All right then
Gollum led Frodo and the two Vampire Champions into Shelob’s Lair, as soon as they entered Spike, Angel and Frodo held their noses
SPIKE: Ugh! What’s that smell?
GOLLUM: Orcses filth, Orcses come in here sometimes,
SPIKE: Right Gollum whatever you say
About five minutes into the Lair and Gollum had lost them on purpose
FRODO: All right! That does it! When I find that creature I’m gonna kill him!
Frodo runs off after him, Spike tried to call him back
SPIKE: FRODO COME BACK!
But Frodo had gone, Spike shouted out again
SPIKE: FRODO! FRODO!
There was nothing but a deathly silence, then Spike sensed someone was behind him; he drew his sword and attacked
SPIKE: ARRAGH!
He stopped dead in his tracks,
SPIKE: Bloody hell, Sam I’m so sorry, look we’ve got two problems
Sam looked at Spike
SAM: Yes?
SPIKE: Right then, as I was saying Gollum’s betrayed us and gone off and deserted us, and in his frustration and anger Frodo has got lost trying to kill Gollum -
SAM: Spike shh! Did you hear something, like a hissing noise?
Spike stopped and listened
SPIKE: Yeah Sam, I hear it, you hear it Angel
ANGEL: Yeah Spike I heard it
Then they heard footsteps BOOM! BOOM! Spike then turned around and nearly fainted but Angel grabbed him
ANGEL: What are you staring at Spike?
Spike could hardly speak
SPIKE: T-That monster
Sam and Angel looked up
SAM: Oh No it's Shelob again
Angel looked a little confused
SPIKE: Shelob, who the hell is Shelob?
Frodo spoke from behind them
FRODO: It’s a spider-like monster, pet of Sauron
Spike whirled round to Frodo
SPIKE: WHERE THE SODDING HELL HAVE YOU BEEN FRODO, WE THOUGHT SHELOB HAD GOT TO YOU FIRST!
FRODO: Well she didn’t besides anyone have any ideas of how to get away from her?
Angel raised his hand
ANGEL: Erm. Guys, I have one
Spike whirled round to his fellow Champion
SPIKE: OH YEH! WHAT?
Angel started to get ready to run
ANGEL: RUN LIKE HELL!
Spike, Frodo and Sam didn’t need to be told twice
FRODO: WE’RE ALL BEHIND YOU ANGEL
They had been running for what seemed an eternity, then they came to a 6 ft thick wall of cobwebs, Angel, Spike, Sam and Frodo looked up at the wall, Spike asked Sam
SPIKE: BOLLOCKS! HOW THE HELL ARE WE SUPPOSED TO CUT THAT DOWN!
Frodo stepped up
FRODO: Spike there is only one way to slice through these cobwebs, seeing as these are Elvish cobwebs, they can be cut by an Elvish Blade: Sting passed down to me by my uncle: Bilbo Baggins and -
SPIKE: Enough with the ancient history Frodo cut them down, while us three keep a lookout for Shelob
Frodo looked at Spike with a look of agreement on his face
FRODO: OK Spike
About fifteen to twenty minutes had passed since Frodo had started cutting through
SPIKE: Hey Frodo mate, you done or what? Frodo? FRODO!
Spike ran to where Frodo had been standing
SPIKE: Oh no
Angel and Sam turned round
ANGEL: Spike, what is it?
Spike looked at Sam and Angel with a vengeful look
SPIKE: THAT BITCH! I’LL KILL HER IF SHE’S HARMED HIM!
Spike got up with Sting in his hand, and headed in the direction of the exit of the Spiders lair, but Angel grabbed his arm
ANGEL: SPIKE! Listen if you go charging without a strategy planned it will kill you, and besides, you have to destroy something but if you wish
Spike looked first at Angel then at a near tearful Sam,
SPIKE: All right you two you both know you’re right
SPIKE: So, Sam how do we kill it?

ANGEL: SPIKE, WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING LIKE THAT FOR?
The Ringbearer looked at Sam and Angel
SPIKE: Right then you two I have a plan, Sam you and Angel go rescue Frodo, while I go and kill Shelob
Sam and Angel agreed
SAM: Right Spike, Good luck
SPIKE: Thanks Sam
Then with the plan decided Sam, Spike and Angel headed out of Shelob's Lair
Frodo woke up to find himself stuck to a massive web outside Shelob’s Lair, Frodo looked below him to see thousands, upon thousands of dead Orcs, Men and Elves’s dead bodies
FRODO: Who - What the -
Then he saw Shelob re-emerge, but unseen by her, but seen by Frodo, Spike, Sam and Angel were standing behind her. First Spike uttered the words that set the phial of Galadriel alight,
SPIKE: Aiya Earendil Elenion Ancalima!
Then Spike grabbed Shelob’s attention by firing an arrow into one of her back legs
SPIKE: OI, BITCH LET HIM GO
While Angel and Sam were cutting Frodo down, Spike was fighting Shelob; Spike had the initiative he was punching her in the face then he swung Sting to chop off one of her front legs,
SPIKE: THERE! NOW IM GONNA FINISH YOU OFF!
Shelob screamed, in anger she kicked Spike across the floor, Angel whirled round in horror, to see Shelob about to eat an unconscious Spike,
ANGEL: NOO!
Angel ran and hurled himself in front of Shelob, and Shelob’s stinger went into Angel’s stomach and worked the poison worked its way through Angel’s system, Frodo and Sam suddenly woke Spike up
SAM: SPIKE LOOK!
Spike turned to see Shelob about to sink her teeth into Angel’s lifeless body,
SPIKE: ALL RIGHT THEN YOU FILTH, COME AND FINISH FOR THE LAST TIME!
Spike ran at Shelob, kicked her from behind then jumped over the top of her and grabbed Sting and rolled round on the floor trying to avoid Shelob’s stinger then he pulled out Hope’s Dagger and just as she was about to stab him, Spike drove both swords into her stomach and twisted Sting and Hope’s Dagger in her stomach.
In agony and pain Shelob fell backwards back into her cave, Spike got up put Hope’s Dagger back in his sword sleeve, got up holding Sting and the phial of Galadriel forced the wounded spider back into her cave
SPIKE: BACK YOU! GO ON BACK!
After Shelob had crept deep into her cave, Spike ran over to Angel
SPIKE: Angel, it's all right, she’s gone
Angel slowly got up
ANGEL: What happened?
SPIKE: Angel she stabbed you with her stinger and also she nearly killed you
Spike had only enough strength to carry Angel up the stairs past Cirith Ungol.
ANGEL: Wha-Where are we?
Angel, looked around confused Sam and Frodo looked out over the Gorogoth plains
SAM: Well guys we did it
SPIKE: What, we did what?
Spike and Angel got up and stared into Mordor
SPIKE: You’re right Sam, we made it to Mordor
Spike stared in shock and stepped backwards
SPIKE: It's them the First and Sauron, they’re leading the troops towards the Black Gate
Angel tried to reassure Spike
ANGEL: We’ll all have to go in there Spike, there’s nothing for it
Slowly Angel, Frodo, Sam and Spike made their down from Cirith Ungol towards the plains of Gorogoth.
SCENE 31
THE PARTING OF ANGEL AND SPIKE
As soon as they got down to the bottom of the hill, the army started to move towards the Black Gate, Spike saw Mount Doom erupt in the distance and the whole of Mordor shook.
ANGEL: So Spike, are we Ok to go forward or what?
When Spike didn’t answer, Angel asked again
ANGEL: Spike, that rumbling noise isn’t good is it?
SPIKE: It’s the First Evil and Sauron, looks like their heading towards the Black Gate
Angel looked at Spike
ANGEL: What do we do?
SPIKE: Go back to Minas Tirith
Angel was in shock, trying not to believe that he was being kicked out of the journey
ANGEL: What?
SPIKE: This is my journey and destiny, Angel not yours, besides you knew this would happen
Before Angel had chance to respond Spike spoke to Willow
SPIKE: Hey red, how are you?
WILLOW: Spike oh my god, are you guys ok?
SPIKE: I’m fine, but Shelob stabbed Angel and I don’t think he’ll last much longer, so I want you to teleport Angel back now! Because he knows this and you lot do, he is needed at the battle of the Black Gate, and one more thing, tell Aragorn and Buffy to get the troops ready for the distraction, because the army is heading towards the Gate, along with Sauron and the First
Willow wasn’t going to argue; for she knew in her heart that Spike was right
WILLOW: Alright Spike, put Angel on
SPIKE: OK Red
Angel looked at Spike, with tears in his eyes
ANGEL: Spike, don’t do this
SPIKE: Angel, I don’t have a choice, you must be with the Slayers, anyway, if you’re not gonna do this for me then do it for Connor
Angel knew Spike had hit him where it hurt
ANGEL: Spike you’re right, even I know you’re right, Ok Will, teleport me back
WILLOW: As you wish Angel, TELEPORTAS!
In an instant flash, where Angel had been, there was nothing but a speck of smoke
SPIKE: See you in a few weeks Angel.
SCENE 32
ARAGORN'S DECISION
Connor, Wesley, Gunn and Illyria were pacing round the King’s table Giles was getting sick of the pacing the remaining members of Angel Investigations were doing
GILES: For God’s sake will you four pack the pacing in you’re driving us round the bend!
Wesley stops and smirks at Giles, who realises what he had just said
GILES: Oh sorry excuse the pun
Then Wesley, Gunn, Illyria and Connor and Giles burst out laughing, while this was going on, there was a big bright light appear in front of everyone, Connor stopped laughing and nudged the others
CONNOR: Hey guys, looks like Dad’s back
As soon as Angel appeared, he collapsed onto the floor, Connor ran over to his father
CONNOR: Dad!
Connor, Wesley and Gunn helped Angel onto his feet, Wesley looked toward Faramir,
WESLEY: Hey Faramir, can Angel sit down on the Steward’s Chair
Faramir agreed
FARAMIR: Yeah Ok
Angel looked a bit groggy,
ANGEL: Wha – What happened to me?
GANDALF: I think I can help you guys on that one
Everyone turned round to see Gandalf walking towards the Scooby Gang
GANDALF: The effect and distance of the spell that Miss Rosenberg has done has taken its toll on Angel, it will take a few minutes for him to come round to the normal souled vampire that he is
Ten minutes had passed since Angel had teleported back from Mordor to Gondor, Connor and Aragorn were discussing whether Angel is fit enough to go out with them against the armies of Mordor
CONNOR: LOOK, ARAGORN, I’M SAYING MY DAD SHOULD BE IN THE FIGHT, BESIDES ITS NOT AS IF HE’S BEEN STABBED BY A RINGWRAITH!
ARAGORN: LOOK I’M THE KING OF GONDOR, AND I SAY HE’S NOT GOING!
They were arguing so much no one noticed Angel get up
ANGEL: Oh really then, Aragorn, well Spike says I should
Everyone fell silent
ANGEL: Alright then that’s sorted then,
XANDER: Anyway Angel, why are you back here I thought you were supposed to be helping Spike
ANGEL: Yeah, he kicked me out of the journey
XANDER: WHAT! Why on earth would he do that?
ANGEL: Look Aragorn, before we go to Mordor, Spike’s told me to tell you guys: the reason I’m back here is because Frodo and Sam knows what it is like to bear the Ring and Spike needs all the experience he can get, OK
Aragorn stood there, while the men of Rohan, Gondor, every single Slayer, the Scooby Gang and the Fellowship waited for the King’s decision and then Aragorn spoke
ARAGORN: Alright, everyone let's get ready, we’re going to war
Angel and Connor smiled at each other, as everyone got ready and Aragorn got his Sword: Andruil, Aragorn then noticed that Boromir and Denethor standing by the Steward’s chair with no swords, and no armour, Aragorn walked over to the former Steward and his eldest son
ARAGORN: Boromir, Denethor Gandalf has some things that belong to the pair of you
Boromir looked towards Gandalf as he brought in the armour and the swords that Denethor and Boromir had used, Boromir was astounded
BOROMIR: How, When?
Faramir stepped forward towards his father and brother
FARAMIR: I can answer this one when I found your body in the Lothlorien boat your armour was stored in your room in Minas Tirith
DENETHOR: Thank you son, let’s get to it.
Boromir, Denethor and Faramir got ready into their Gondor armour, 10 minutes later Aragorn, Arwen, Eomer, Lady Eowyn, Boromir, Denethor, Faramir and the Slayers, the Men of Rohan and Gondor and the Fellowship of the Ring were heading out towards the Black Gate
SCENE 33
HOPE LOST
Meanwhile the Orcs, Vampires, Demons were heading towards the Black Gate
ORC GENERAL: ALL RIGHT YOU LOW-LIFE PIECES OF SCUM! MOVE IT! TO THE GATE!
In the meantime, Spike, Frodo and Sam slid their way down to the bottom of the slope at the end of the path from Cirith Ungol to the plains of Gorogoth; Sam smiled at Spike
SAM: See Mr. Spike, some good fortune at long last
Spike looked at the two hobbits and briefly smiled, as it was clear from the concerned look on Frodo’s face that the burden was starting to wear more heavily on him, While Sam and Frodo were helping Spike walk across the plains of Mordor to Mount Doom Aragorn and all the forces of good were riding towards the Black Gate as they rounded the corner, Aragorn, nearly fell off his horse at the size of the Gate
ARAGORN: H-How has it grown, its impossible, who could’ve re-built the Gate that high!
No-one could think who had re-built the Gate that high, then a dark figure in a long leather-coat jumped down from the top of the Gate and just in front of Aragorn with his back turned,
ARAGORN: VAMPIRE TURN ROUND NOW!
Still the vampire refused to turn round, By now, the king was starting to get a little impatient
ARAGORN: I SAID TURN ROUND NOW!
ROBIN: As you wish
He turned round and slowly removed his mask
ROBIN: My name is Robin, Robin Wood
The Scooby Gang sat on their horses, shocked and speechless Faith couldn’t believe that it was her husband in front
FAITH: Wha-What how?
Robin stared at his wife with a wicked smile
ROBIN: Hello lover
Faith, unaware that Robin was a Vampire went up to Faith, but Buffy jumped off her horse and fired a arrow into Robin’s leg
ROBIN: AHH! YOU STUPID GORMLESS BITCH!
Robin grabbed Faith and pulled the arrow out of his leg Angel slowly walked towards Nikki Wood’s son
ANGEL: Robin just let Faith go and deal with me
ANGEL: But Faith is so helpless, and that’s really a massive turn-on would you agree, Angel?
Angel just stared right back at Robin
ANGEL: Nice Try, Robin, anyway Spike told me what you tried to do and anyway I -
Robin flung Faith at Buffy, and started to laugh,
ROBIN: You mean you haven’t heard?
Angel was starting to lose his temper
ANGEL: HEARD WHAT? YOU WANKER?
ROBIN: You see this black coat I’m wearing, well its Spike’s
XANDER: An – that means he’s d – dead?
Robin was loving the looks of grief and mourning on the Scoobies faces; especially Angel’s, Connor’s, Dawn’s and Buffy, who had tears of rage in her eyes
ROBIN: Who would've thought that a vampire's death would cause so much pain and suffering
ANGEL: Y- YOU MURDERER!
Angel flew himself at Robin, with sword in hand, as he flew himself at Spike’s murderer, Robin Wood did
the same, out of nowhere Spike shouted
SPIKE: OI, WHAT THE BLOODY HELL ARE YOU TWO IDIOTS DOING?
ANGEL: Spike? You’re all right?
SPIKE: Yeah, why did you Scoobies think I was dead AGAIN?
While Angel was talking to Spike, Robin flew over the top of Angel
ANGEL: To be honest, Yeh, we all did, we all feared the worst, especially, believe or not, me Xander and Giles
SPIKE: Really, I didn’t realise you three cared that much, I’m so touched, and OK changes of subject, Angel punch Robin he’s behind you
Angel didn’t need to be told twice
ANGEL: Right Ok, Spike you were saying?
Suddenly there was silence, Angel was now terrified for Spike’s safety,
ANGEL: SPIKE!
Pippin stepped up
PIPPIN: Here Angel, perhaps I might be allowed a go
Angel turned to look at the Slayers and the Fellowship, who all nodded
ANGEL: Alright Pippin
PIPPIN: Frodo, Sam! Can you both hear me?
FRODO: Yeah, we can hear you, its OK Angel Spike’s just resting, we’ve just got to the slopes of Mount Doom, it’s getting unbearable for him now, I mean he can barely stand.
Buffy, Angel and Gandalf couldn’t bear this torture of not knowing the conditions of Spike anymore; quickly Buffy they turned to Willow
BUFFY: Will, show us all the condition of Spike
Willow wasn’t so sure they would want to see Spike in so much pain
WILLOW: Are you guys sure you want to see their conditions?
ANGEL: YES! NOW DO IT WILLOW!
Buffy was shocked at her ex’s attitude and facial expression as Angel was nearly crying
WILLOW: OK, but you won’t like it, and one more thing, they can’t see or hear you but prepare yourselves for the worst
Buffy, Angel and Gandalf agreed
GANDALF/ANGEL/BUFFY: OK
In a flash they were transported to where the two hobbits and Spike were, as soon as Angel saw Spike’s condition he broke down in tears
ANGEL: O-Oh god, S – Spike, he can hardly walk!
He tried to get Spike’s attention in vain
ANGEL: SPIKE! ITS ME ANGEL, GET Y – YOU HAVE TO GET UP, P – PLEASE D – DO THIS FOR US, FOR ME, FOR CONNOR AND FOR BUFFY P – PLEASE!
Angel, Buffy and Gandalf were transported back to the Black Gate, while Willow had just transported Robin to one of the rooms where he would be re-souled when Spike destroyed Sauron and the First, Dawn looked at Angel
DAWN: Well?
Angel was so upset he couldn’t even look at Buffy’s sister, Xander knew how bad it was
XANDER: He’s not gonna make it is he?
Dawn slapped Xander across the face
DAWN: Don’t say that! Of course he’ll make it, don’t say that ever again!
Buffy looked at Aragorn and the men of Gondor and Rohan
BUFFY: So what Now?
ARAGORN: We wait for Sauron and his army
SCENE 34
THE BLACK GATE
Meanwhile, as Aragorn, Gandalf, Angel, Connor, Legolas, Gimli, Merry, Eomer, Pippin, Faramir, Boromir, Denethor and the armies of Gondor and Rohan rode towards the gates of Mordor, Sauron and the First Evil were contemplating the strategy.
THE FIRST EVIL: I SAY ONE OF US SHOULD STAY BEHIND!
The two continued to argue The Head of the Nazgul approached his Lord
THE WITCH KING: My Lord, news is spreading that two hobbits, under the names Baggins and Gamgee are assisting a blond Vampire to Mount Doom, in order to destroy the ring and us once and for all again!
Realising this the First made a suggestion towards Sauron
THE FIRST EVIL: Lord Sauron, could I have a word?
SAURON: What is it?
THE FIRST EVIL: I know this Vampire, he was sent to Middle Earth along with his friends to go to Mount Doom and destroy us both, the Vampire I speak of is called Spike
Sauron pondered at what the first had just informed him.
SAURON: Spike? Going to Mount Doom you say?
THE FIRST: That’s it exactly
Sauron rubbed his hands together
SAURON: Right then Witch-King, go get the armies ready to march towards the Gate, I will be with you soon
The Witch King nodded in agreement
SAURON: First Evil I want you to head to Mount Doom
FIRST EVIL: Yes Sauron
SAURON: One more thing?
FIRSTEVIL: Yes?
SAURON: Make sure the two hobbits and Spike don’t see you
FIRST EVIL: OK
While outside the Black Gate Aragorn and his fellow warriors waited, Pippin was getting impatient
PIPPIN: Where are the hell are they?
Aragorn turned towards Pippin and rode towards the Black Gate, alongside the two hobbits King Eomer, Gandalf, Legolas, Gimli, Faramir, Boromir and Denethor
ARAGORN: LET SAURON, DARK LORD OF THE BLACK LAND COME FORTH, LET JUSTCE ULTIMATELY BE DONE UPON HIM!
All of a sudden there was a loud creaking noise, and the Gates of Mordor opened to show an army of approximately 400,000 marching towards the forces of good
Aragorn told the others to retreat
ARAGORN: FALL BACK! FALL BACK!
They headed back towards the others they started to move backwards nervously, but Aragorn rallied his troops
ARAGORN: HOLD YOUR GROUND! HOLD YOUR GROUND! I SEE IN YOUR EYES THE SAME FEAR THAT WOULD TAKE THE HEART OF ME, A DAY MAY COME WHEN THE COURAGE OF MEN FAILS, WHEN WE FORSAKE OUR FRIENDS AND BREAK ALL BONDS OF FELLOWSHIP, BUT IT IS NOT THIS DAY, AN HOUR OF WOLVES AND SHATTERED SHIELDS BEFORE THE AGE OF MEN COMES CRASHING DOWN! BUT IT IS NOT THIS DAY THIS DAY WE FIGHT! BY ALL THAT EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU PEOPLE HOLD ON THIS GOOD EARTH AND IN THE REAL WORLD, I BID, YOU STAND CHAMPIONS OF THE WORLD!
With that they all drew their swords ready for the onslaught of Orcs and Demons.
SCENE 35
MOUNT DOOM
It had been at least nearly five hours since Frodo, Sam and Spike had slept at the slopes of Mount Doom, Sam and Frodo were the first ones to wake up, realising that they had gone and had too much sleep
FRODO: Oh! We are such forgetful hobbits sometimes, and we are supposed to be keeping an eye on Mr Spike
SAM: Excuse me, Spike, its time to wake up and move on.
Frodo whirled round to see that Spike was struggling up the side of the mountain.
FRODO: SPIKE! WAIT!
Then just as Sam and Frodo got to the point where Spike were the whole of Mordor shook and the noise was enough to knock Spike onto his back
SPIKE: FRODO, SAM HELP!
Suddenly Frodo was slowly making his way down towards Spike
FRODO: Hold on Spike!
Frodo turned back towards Sam
FRODO: SAM, PASS ME THE ELVEN ROPE, QUICK
Straight away Sam passed Frodo one end of the rope and pulled them up the side of the mountain, when Frodo and Spike were pulled up to the same point as Sam, Frodo and Sam then rested Spike down, trying to remind Spike of his world.
SAM: Do you remember Rome, Mr Spike, there’s the apartment where you guys live, the blonde hair and blue eyes of your girlfriend, Buffy, the laughter of her sister and her friends, the sunlight, the taste of food
Spike woke up to see Sam and Frodo
SPIKE: N – No you two, I can’t recall the look of Buffy, her sister nor her friends, nor the taste of food or drink for that matter, not even the sunrise or the sunset, all I see the darkness and Sauron and the First w – with my naked eyes!
Frodo clenched his jaw
FRODO: THEN LET US BE RID OF IT ONCE AND FOR ALL! COME ON SPIKE ME AND SAM CAN’T CARRY IT FOR YOU! BUT WE WILL CARRY YOU COME ON!
And with that they carried Spike on their shoulders up towards Mount Doom.
Outside the Black Gate Aragorn and the others were waiting for the army to make its move, then Sauron spoke to Aragorn and Angel, trying to bring them over to the Dark side
SAURON: Aragorn Elessar Angel Liam
But Aragorn and Angel resisted and took a couple of steps forward, as they looked at each other and then looked at their fellow warriors, together Aragorn and Angel murmured to the rest of the forces of good
ANGEL: For Spike
And having said that, Angel and Aragorn led the charge down, followed by the Scooby gang and the Slayers and the soldiers of Rohan, Gondor and the Fellowship of the Ring, as Angel raised his sword, he signalled to Faramir, Giles and Wesley.
ANGEL: OK GUYS FIRE!
As several Vampires broke through the army Wesley signalled to Giles and Faramir
WESLEY: SLAYERS, MEN OF GONDOR FIRE!
Then suddenly a flurry of nearly 100 arrows and crossbow arrows went killing some of the Vampires, while Wesley defended some of the Slayers, killing several of the Vamps, meanwhile back on the slopes of Mount Doom, Sam and Frodo were carrying Spike up towards the doorway of Mount Doom, when Frodo noticed the doorway,
FRODO: Look Spike the doorway, We’re nearly there
Then Gollum appeared above them
GOLLUM: Clever hobbits to carry Vampire up so high!
And he jumped down onto Spike, making Frodo and Sam let loose of Spike, while Spike was trying to climb back up towards the doorway Gollum pushed the two hobbits out of the way, and grabbed Spike and started to strangle him
GOLLUM: NO MASTER WILL NOT KILLS PRECIOUS, HE WILL DIES!
SPIKE: That’s very good Gollum, but you’re forgetting, I’m a Vampire and I’m already dead
But then Spike morphed into his Vamp face and punched Gollum in the face and flipped him over his shoulders, Gollum, flipped back onto his feet, but Frodo and Sam charged into Gollum
FRODO/SAM: ARAGGH!
Sam then drew his sword and made a mark on Gollum’s stomach, then Frodo Kung fued kicked Gollum down the hill that left him unconscious, Sam and Frodo turned round
FRODO/SAM: SPIKE!
Spike was forcing himself up the slopes of Mount Doom.
Meanwhile back at the Black Gate, Aragorn and Angel were fighting back to back, while just a feet away Connor, Gunn, Wesley and Giles were fighting side by side killing any Orc, Demon or Vampire that came flying at them Legolas and Gimli were fighting, then Gimli caught sight of a familiar black-haired Elf, it was Arwen, about to killed by a 250 pound Troll, covered with armour, without thinking he flung himself at the Troll, just as it was about to strike, slid between the Troll’s legs and put his Axe into the Troll’s stomach, which fell backwards and squashed several Orcs.
To the right of Gimli, the Scooby Gang, the Slayers and the men of Rohan and Gondor were fighting an endless tide of Orcs, then all of a sudden out of the day sky, came the Nazgul, Gandalf had just killed three Orcs when he noticed the Nazgul heading towards the army of good, then Gandalf noticed a small moth in front of him, he looked up to see his eagle friend Gawhir and his eagle companions as they swooped down on the Nazgul, Pippin slaughtered at least five Orcs, before he looked up in delight
PIPPIN: Eagles, The Eagles are coming!
Gandalf looked up towards the sky and murmured
GANDALF: Gawhir
Meanwhile back at Mount Doom Frodo and Sam were chasing Spike who ran into Mount Doom, as soon as Spike entered the Crack of Doom, he stopped dead in tracks, his facial expression as if he had seen a ghost
SPIKE: N – No it can’t be, you were supposed to be at the Black Gate
Then the First Evil turned round in his corporal form, with a wicked smile approached Spike,
THE FIRST EVIL: You don’t want to save the world, Spike you really want to destroy it along with myself and Sauron, go on Spike give in to the Evil
Spike pulled out Hope’s Dagger and stared at his sword, then the Ring then the First and smiled
SPIKE: I’m sorry, mate but I decline
Spike walks forward and pushed Hope’s Dagger into the First’s stomach, then pulled it out, The First fell to its knees and looked up at Spike
THE FIRST EVIL: Sp – Spike you don’t wanna do this think about what you’re doing
Spike vamped up, with a look of determination on his face
SPIKE: Oh, don’t worry, I know I know what I’m doing, YAHH!
And Spike chopped off the head of the First and dropped them into Mount Doom, and then he walked towards the edge, just as Frodo and Sam arrived
FRODO/SAM: SPIKE!
Spike turned round slightly
SPIKE: I’m right here you two
Frodo took a couple of steps forward
FRODO: SPIKE, GO ON! THROW IT INTO THE FIRE WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? JUST LET IT GO?
Spike stood there holding the One Ring over the edge of Crack of Doom, Spike tried to do what was right: destroy the one thing that had summoned Spike to Middle Earth in the first place, then it whispered to him
Frodo and Sam stared at Spike
FRODO: Spike are you alright?
He then turned round with Ring still in his hand Frodo stared in horror
FRODO: No, No
Spike snatched the ring off its chain and stared at Frodo and Sam with a wicked smile
SPIKE: The One Ring is mine and no-one else’s!
And then he put the Ring on his finger and he then disappeared
FRODO: SPIKE NOO!
Sauron was now fully aware that Spike, Frodo and Sam had reached the Crack of Doom
SAURON: NAZGUL! TOWARDS MOUNT DOOM NOW!
Within an instant the Nazgul retreated from the Black Gate and flew back towards Mount Doom, Gandalf got back up and started fighting the Orcs and Demons again
As Spike wandered round the edge of the Crack of Doom, Gollum sneaked up behind Sam and Frodo and knocked the pair of them out with a rock, then he set off after Spike, carefully choosing his moment he jumped up on top of Spike, and bit his finger off that had the Ring on
SPIKE: AH, OW YOU B – BASTARD!
Spike fell to the floor clutching his hand in pain, meanwhile back outside the Gate of Mordor, Aragorn had just killed two Orcs, when he turned round and saw Sauron standing in front, they clashed swords several times, until Sauron kicked Aragorn across the floor, Legolas looks on in horror as Sauron strides towards Aragorn
LEGOLAS: ARAGORN!
Legolas tries to get to Aragorn, pushing Slayers, Men and Orcs out of the way, but it is too late Sauron stamps his foot onto Aragorn, who pulls out his knife and forces it into Sauron’s foot and twists it, while back at the Crack of Doom, Gollum was celebrating his plan
GOLLUM: PRECIOUS! PRECIOUS!
Spike angrily got up and headed towards Gollum
SPIKE: OI, YOU BASTARD, I’M GONNA KILL YOU FOR THAT! ITS BAD ENOUGH A MAD SLAYER CHOPPED OFF MY HANDS, BUT A SKINNY, DIRTY CREATURE LIKE YOU JUST TAKES THE BLOODY PISS! ARAGHH!
But Gollum was so busy not paying attention to Spike approaching, Sam tried to get up but he was still concussed as he and Frodo watched Spike march towards Gollum
SPIKE: OI, GIMME THAT BACK
GOLLUM: NOO, THE PRECIOUSS ISSS MINE!
Without realising they had both fallen over the edge, Gollum had fallen to the lava, clutching his beloved Precious, as he disintegrated in the lava, the One Ring, floated on the surface, Sam and Frodo who had regained consciousness ran to the edge.
Frodo lowered his hand
FRODO: SPIKE TAKE MY HAND
Spike moved his hand towards Frodo’s but his hand slipped out of Frodo’s because of the blood
Spike looked up at the two hobbits, his face filled with sadness and willingness to let go and end it all.
FRODO: NO! SPIKE, DON’T YOU LET GO! DON’T YOU LET GO! REACH!
Somehow Spike found some strength within him to oust his hand up towards Frodo and the two hobbits pulled the Vampire up, below them the Ring dissolved into the lava.
At the Gates of Mordor, the Orcs sensed that something was wrong and fled away from Gondor, Mordor and Middle Earth, Sauron turned towards his army
SAURON: FOOLS! WHAT ARE YOU PATHETIC SCUM DOING? G – GET B – BACK H – HERE
Sauron looked at his tower, then Mount Doom, then his Nazgul and then stared at his armour and his body.
SAURON: NOO! CURSE YOU SPIKE!
Aragorn, Legolas, Gandalf and the rest of the Fellowship, the Men of Rohan and Gondor, and the Slayers of the world and the Scooby Gang stood back, as Sauron staggered backwards as he was destroyed in a ray of light
Angel looked towards the lands of Mordor with a mile and raising his sword
ANGEL: SPIKE! SPIKE!
Gimli, Aragorn and Buffy cheered, while Giles, and Gandalf shed tears of joy, then without any warning Mount Doom exploded, and everyone fell silent and Giles and Gandalf looked concerned, in the distance one of the Nazgul spiralled out of control towards the ground, while Angel, Connor and Buffy fell to their knees, crying, while, outside Mount Doom, Frodo, Spike and Sam ran out of the Crack of Doom and jumped onto the nearest ledge.
Frodo and Sam were resting while Spike stood there gasping, realising; at long last it was finished
SPIKE: It’s g – gone, its d – done
Sam turned towards Spike
SAM: Yes Mr. Spike, it's finally over
All of a sudden Mount Doom erupted and Spike, Sam and Frodo fell
Onto the rock, exhausted, but glad it was finally over, Spike lay on his back, with a smile on his face
SPIKE: Hey Frodo, Sam I can see the daylight, the laughter of the Scooby Gang, the Slayers, Angel, Darla, Connor, Wesley, Gunn and Fred congratulating me and Buffy and myself getting married at Minas Tirith and Giles and Xander shaking hands with me congratulating me on getting married
Frodo and Sam look across to their left to see Spike crying.
FRODO: Hey Spike we're glad to be with you here at the end of all things
Spike, Frodo and Sam all lay on their backs sleeping, while unbeknown to them Gandalf, riding on Gawhir, with his friends, swooped down and picked up Frodo, Sam and Spike and then flew back towards Minas Tirith.
SCENE 36
THE FELLOWSHIP AND SCOOBY GANG REUNITED.
Spike awoke to see Angel, Connor and Darla Wesley, Gunn and Fred smiling in front of him; Spike looked up bewildered
SPIKE: A – Angel, Connor, Darla?
Angel, Connor, Darla, Wesley, Gunn and Fred started smirking then starting laughing, then the four hobbits burst through the door Frodo, especially looked delighted to see Spike awake
FRODO: Spike
SPIKE: Frodo, Sam, Pip, Merry
The Fellowship then came in overjoyed, Spike turned towards them,
SPIKE: Aragorn, Gimli!
Then Robin Wood, Giles and Xander walked in and Spike met their gaze and there was a look of understanding on each other’s faces.
As soon as Spike was ready he was packing his weapons ready to leave Middle Earth, Giles walked in
GILES: Hey Spike, how are you feeling?
Spike whirled round
SPIKE: Oh hey Rupert, I’m Ok I guess, but I’m gonna miss the hobbits, especially Frodo and Sam, cause they taught so much about life
Giles smiled and nodded
GILES: I know, anyhow I need you to come with me as soon as you put on this suit
Giles handed Spike, what looked like a wedding suit
SPIKE: What the hell am I wearing this for, I’d only need to wear this if I were gonna.
Spike looked at Giles with a big smile and hugged him
SPIKE: Bloody hell! You mean I’m going to be marrying Buffy, after everything!
Spike was so over the moon he didn’t see Angel walk in
ANGEL: Yes, Spike you are
Spike looked at Angel a concerned look on his face
SPIKE: B – But Angel, you love Buffy
Angel smiled
ANGEL: I know Spike, but after all you know as well as I do, I can’t be with her, after all I have a family
Spike looked down
SPIKE: I understand
Angel started to walk away then Spike stopped for a minute to ask him something that would change their lives forever
SPIKE: Hey Angel would you do the honour of being my best man at our wedding?
Angel smiled
ANGEL; Really? You mean that
SPIKE: Yes Angel and whatever has happened between us in the past, its over?
Spike offered his hand in friendship and Angel shook it, while behind them, Connor, Darla and Giles looked on glad that they were now the best of friends again.
When Spike had changed into his suit, Giles walked out towards the wedding area, followed by Angel, Darla, Connor and finally Spike followed all of them, looking totally scared and terrified.
SCENE 37
THE FULFILMENT OF THE SHANSHU PROPHECY
Spike, Angel and everyone else were waiting for Giles to walk Buffy down the aisle, before then Spike and Darla were standing in the Kings Hall with Angel Connor
SPIKE: So What now? I mean we can’t go out coz of the sunlight
Then all of a sudden a big bright figure of light appeared
CORDELIA: Don’t worry Spike I’m gonna change that
Connor smiled at his brother, mother and father
CORDELIA: I mean after all, the three vampires that do well in the world, deserve to be what they always wanted: Human
Spike and Angel looked shell-shocked, as if they’d seen a ghost
ANGEL: Oh my God! Cordy! How? We thought you were d – dead?
CORDELIA: Yeah, well I couldn’t go to heaven without giving Darla and my two souled Vampire friends human lives
Cordelia moved towards Angel and Darla and placed her hands over their hearts
DARLA/ANGEL: Oh my God!
Darla stepped back in shock, she looked at Spike, with tears of joy in her eyes; Spike smiled at Darla and Angel
SPIKE: So you two what’s it feel like? Having a heartbeat?
Angel looked at Spike
ANGEL: Its great, kinda feels strange an’ all
Then Cordelia turned round to face Spike
CORDELIA: Now then Spike, I should warn you this is gonna hurt you a lot more than it did to Angel and Darla
Spike looked at Cordelia with a determined look on his face
SPIKE: Alright, Cordy, let's do this
Cordy looked at Darla, Angel and Connor then she looked back at Spike and shrugged her shoulders
CORDELIA: Alright, but I did warn you!
As soon as Cordelia placed her hand on Spike’s heart, he staggered backwards, knocking over the table of the Steward and the King.
SPIKE: Oh Bollocks now what?
As Spike fell to the floor in agony, Spike was feeling something leave his body and something start up again inside his body
SPIKE: Ah! Bloody Hell
ANGEL: Do you feel it Spike?
Spike turned to his grandsire nodded his head, and then he looked at his chest in shock and fear.
Spike looked up towards Darla, Connor and Cordelia as Angel went towards him as a shot of light shot into his body
ANGEL: I can feel it, Angel
Angel was puzzled.
ANGEL: What Spike?
SPIKE: My heart, its there its beating again, it also kind of feels strange
Then Spike collapsed in a heap on the floor, straight away Angel, Darla, Connor and Cordelia went to help Spike to his feet.
With the help of Angel, Darla, Connor and Cordelia Slowly Spike got up.
Immediately as Spike got up, he went to the door followed nervously by Angel and Darla
SPIKE: Well, you guys for over 250 years, we’ve killed, sired and hidden from the daylight, now we’re gonna walk into the sunlight
Angel, nervously held Darla’s hand, then Cordelia and Connor opened the doors for the three former Vampires to walk out in to a sunlit courtyard.
Several hours later Spike was standing at the front of the courtyard in front of the Kings Hall doors, when he and Angel turned round to see Darla and Buffy walking up in their wedding dresses. Spike looked at Angel and whispered to his grandsire
SPIKE: What? You didn’t think I was going to get married to Buffy and forget about you eh?
Within a hour Buffy, Spike, Angel and Darla were married, and Aragorn and his wife Arwen were walking down to meet the two newlywed couples, as soon as they arrived Spike and Angel bowed, but Aragorn signalled them to get up
ARAGORN: Angel, Spike my dear friends you two bow down to no one
Then Aragorn, Arwen, the Fellowship of the Ring, the men of Gondor and Rohan, the Scooby Gang and all the Slayers bowed in front of the two former Vampires.
Spike, who was clearly overwhelmed by this honour whispered in Angel’s ear
SPIKE: Hey Angel, do you think we would’ve got this in Sunnydale
ANGEL: I highly doubt it Spike, I highly doubt it
With that sorted, Spike and Angel smiled at each other.
As soon as the Men of Rohan had set off back to Edoras, Aragorn, Gandalf were talking to the Slayers and the Scooby Gang, while Spike had gone to the Houses of Healing, to get Andrew, he saw that Arwen was tending to him,
SPIKE: Hey your Highness
ARWEN: Please Spike, call me Arwen
SPIKE: Okay Arwen, I’ll deal with Andrew, besides we’re going back to our world now, and I plan to have a good honeymoon with my wife
Arwen looked sad
ARWEN: But why don’t you stay?
SPIKE: Look, this isn’t my world, I mean this is a world of Hobbits, Men, Elves, not a world for former souled vampires turned human heroes, besides the Slayers need training, and I promised Buffy and Giles that I would teach them.
Gandalf, the Fellowship of the Ring and the Ringbearer’s were waiting for Spike, Angel, the Fang Gang and the Scooby Gang to appear, and sure enough they did, to a massive noise of clapping
SPIKE: So Angel shall we go?
Angel looked at Spike
ANGEL: Yeah, Spike lets go home
Willow raised her hand and uttered the words that had transported them to Middle Earth a whole year ago to the day
WILLOW: PORTALOS!
When Buffy and her fellow Slayers and the Scooby Gang had transported back to Rome, Spike was saying his goodbyes, when he came to Frodo, Sam, Merry and Pippin.
SPIKE: Well here we are, at the ancient city of kings, finally comes the end of our journey and the Fellowship
The four hobbits and the Fellowship were starting to cry
SPIKE: Ah, do not weep, for not all tears are an evil
Spike turned towards Aragorn, Arwen, Frodo and Sam
SPIKE: Aragorn, Arwen, Frodo and Sam, It is time.
Gandalf, Boromir, Merry and Pippin looked at the King and Queen of Gondor and the two Ringbearer’s
Merry looked in horror towards Frodo
MERRY: What does Spike mean Frodo?
FRODO: Merry, we set out to save the world again, and it has been saved, but not for us
PIPPIN: Y-You don’t mean that Frodo, you can’t leave
FRODO: The book of the Ringbearer’s and Sting will stay at Minas Tirith and Aragorn has something to say to Boromir.
Aragorn looked at Frodo and then Boromir
ARAGORN: Right then. Look Boromir, seeing as myself and Arwen are going with Frodo and Sam, some one has to rule Minas Tirith
Aragorn stepped forward and passed Boromir the Ring of Bahair, the Gondor pads that Boromir had previously given to Aragorn, the Kings armour and finally Andruil.
Boromir was stunned
BOROMIR: B- But Aragorn I can’t do this, I mean I’m not the rightful heir to your throne.
ARAGORN: Boromir you are, because I have cleared it with your father and Faramir: Steward of Gondor, now Boromir, son of Denethor, brother of Faramir go and rule for many years to come as the King of Gondor
Aragorn and Arwen said their farewells then Arwen and Aragorn came to Gimli, Legolas and Lady Galadriel
ARWEN: Now then Gimli, I know how much you care about my grand-mother, so take care of her
Gimli smiled at Arwen
GIMLI: I will Lady Arwen, I will
Aragorn came to his friend and thanked him
ARAGORN: Hannen Le
Legolas smiled
LEGOLAS: Hannen Le
SPIKE: Erm. Frodo, Sam, Aragorn, Arwen, as much as this killing all of us, this portal won’t stay open for much longer
Aragorn realised that Spike was right
ARAGORN: Thanks Spike. Frodo, Sam, Arwen, lets go
In a flash the five of them were gone Merry looked at Pippin and the rest of the Fellowship
MERRY: Come on guys, let's go home
Gandalf realised that Merry was right
GANDALF: Yes lets go back home
So Merry and Pippin soldiers of Rohan and Gondor, went back to the Shire, Gandalf, Lady Galadriel, Gimli, Legolas went back to the Grey Havens, and Boromir, Denethor and Faramir went back inside to rule Minas Tirith for many years to come.
SCENE 38
A NEW START
Several hours after the Scoobies and the Slayers had arrived back in Buffy’s living room, they were waiting anxiously for Spike, Frodo and Sam
Angel was looking a bit nervous
ANGEL: Where the hell are they?
Connor tried to calm his father down
CONNOR: Dad, its OK, they’ll be here soo-
Before Connor could finish his sentence, the whole living room of Buffy’s Apartment shook and another portal appeared above their heads
SPIKE: BLOODY HELLLL!
Angel looked up and signalled to Buffy
ANGEL: Well I think I know where Spike is coming from
In a flash Spike, Frodo, Sam Aragorn and Arwen landed on the floor at the Scoobies feet
SPIKE: Oh hi guys
Buffy ran up to Spike and kissed him
BUFFY: I love you Spike
SPIKE: And I love you Buffy Summers
Angel smiled, got his weapons and got ready to leave with Connor and Darla
ANGEL: So Spike, you coming back with me to LA?
Spike walked to Angel
SPIKE: Angel I’d like to but I can’t I have my human life back, and besides your son has got his real parents in mortal form
Angel and Darla realised that Spike was right; they embraced Spike
ANGEL: Hey Spike, take care of Buffy and Dawn, OK
SPIKE: I give you my English word
SPIKE: Hey Darla, you take care of yourself, all right?
DARLA: Yeah, Spike you too
With that done Angel, Darla and Connor said their goodbyes to the Scooby Gang, but just before they left Spike rushed over to Angel
SPIKE: Hey Angel, before you go back to LA, there’s something that I think you should have: Hope’s Dagger, it now belongs to your family
Spike looked at Connor
SPIKE: Hey, kid, you look after your mum and your old man
Connor shook hands with Spike
CONNOR: Yeah bro. I will
Just as Angel and his family were going to walk through the door and set off back to Los Angeles, Angel turned to look at Spike and ran at Spike and gave him a massive hug, which took the Scoobies and Angel's gang aback a bit, pulling away Spike noticed that his grandsire was crying.
SPIKE: Angel, what's wrong man?
ANGEL: Oh um. Nothing just that I 'm glad that you finally got the woman that you truly love, and I want you to promise me something.
Spike frowned at Angel
SPIKE: Yeah sure, what?
ANGEL: If there's ever anything that you need or if you and Buffy wanna visit us, you more than welcome to visit us, after all, me an' you have been through so much together, Spike, I guess what I'm trying to say is that I see you more as a brother than a just a friend.
With that Angel, Darla and Connor walked out of the door and headed back to LA. As they walked down the corridor, Wesley looked at Angel
WESLEY: Are you sure Spike's gonna be OK? I mean you two have been through so much.
Angel looks at Spike who was smiling at Angel and then back at Wesley
ANGEL: Yeah, I'm sure he'll be fine
Then the only people that were left in Buffy’s living room were the Scooby Gang and Frodo, Sam, Aragorn and Arwen
DAWN: Right then I guess we’ll leave Buffy and Spike to it then.
Everyone went into Dawn’s room, because after all they weren’t just going to leave them to talk in peace.
SPIKE: So where do you wanna go for the honeymoon then Buffy?
BUFFY: Well I’m thinking maybe London, your home country or the Caribbean
SPIKE: Well I think we should go the Caribbean
BUFFY: Works for me, pet.
Then some-one’s mobile went – it was Dawn’s
DAWN: Hello, Vi, what – in New York? Sure I’ll let Buffy and Spike know
Dawn opened her bedroom door
DAWN: Erm. Sorry to disturb you both but Vi just called she, Robin and Faith need some help in New York, some Slayers want to hear the two battles that Spike had against Robin’s mum and the Chinese Slayer
BUFFY: Well Spike, what do you say
SPIKE: I say let's go give these slayers a lesson or two in battling Vampires
Buffy, Frodo, Aragorn, Arwen, Sam and the Scoobies smiled at each other then at Spike as they left for Rome airport and for New York, with Buffy and Spike hand in hand leading the gang towards a new life.
