His eyes are large and full of pain
She stares at him in wonder
His eyes seem to look into her, past everything and into her soul
He whispers her name and tears fill her eyes
As her purpose becomes clear
She held him tight and lay down her sword
He gently touched her wound
She looked at his hand, the one that had inflicted the wound moments before
And her tears spilled over
He held her tightly, crying and remembering nothing
And she gently kissed his lips
"Close your eyes" she whispered softly
He calmly complied
She held her breath and clutched her sword
The tears came faster and she held her breath
With one swift move she stabbed him with the sword
His eyes shot open and looked at her
He was in so much pain
She watched as he reached for her
And cried when he disappeared and she stared at nothing
Wiping her eyes frantically, she took off running
And later, as the bus left town, all she could think of was Angel
