Buffy The Vampire Slayer > BTVS - Season Six
Don't Push Away by Spikes Queen
[Reviews - 0]

"Don't think about the evil-bloodsucking fiend. Focus on anything but the evil blood sucking fiend," Buffy said to herself, walking briskly away from Spike's crypt. Then there was a scream and she looked at the sky. "Thank you."

Buffy ran towards the scream and came across several demons and a girl on the ground. She lunged at the demons but they disappeared. Soon there were voices in her head, sending her mad.

She dropped to the ground and screamed. "SPIKE!!" Tears pooled in her eyes.

It wasn't long before Spike was crouching next to her. "Buffy?" He asked, softly. "What happened?"

Buffy looked up at him. "Something's happening to me. I'm hearing voices and seeing demons. I... I went to... to h-hit them and then they were gone," she whimpered.

Spike pulled Buffy to her feet. "Come on, Pet," he said, softly. "Lets get you home," he said, pulling her towards revello drive.

"No!" Buffy said, before she could stop her self.

Spike looked at her. "Buffy, you need to go home and get some rest," he said, softly.

"There was a girl," Buffy said, looking around the forest.

"There's no girl," Spike said.

"She was here," Buffy said. "I heard her scream."

The demons appeared again and attacked both Buffy and Spike. Buffy lashed out and this time it connected. The voices came back and she saw a girl laying at her feet.

The demons disappeared and Spike looked at Buffy. "Pet?"

"I killed her," Buffy whispered, shock registering on her face.

Spike crouched by the body. "No, you didn't," he said, looking up at her.

"How can you tell?" Buffy asked, forcing herself to look at him.

"The body's cold. If you had just killed her, she would be warm still. Those demons cause hallucinations," Spike said. "We need to call the police."

About 15 minutes later, police officers were everywhere.

"She's been here a while," Spike said, as the cops cleared them from the scene. "She wasn't here before tonight though."

An officer took Buffy and Spike downtown for further questions.

"Her first names Katrina but we're still working on a last name," the officer said.

"I know her," Buffy said, softly. "I was helping a friend of mine named Warren and she was his girlfriend at the time. She left him and he wasn't to happy. I know where he lives."

Buffy gave the officer Warren's address and they were allowed to leave.

Buffy slid her hand into Spike's and squeezed it gently. "Let's go to your place," she said, softly.

"What about Dawn?" Spike asked.

"I'll explain everything to her tomorrow. Right now, I just wanna be with you," she said, blushing a little.

Spike smiled a little and squeezed her hand back.

Once they got to Spike's crypt Buffy kissed him softly. They managed to make it downstairs, and Buffy hoisted herself onto Spike's waist. Spike carried her to the bed and laid her down gently. Their clothes disappeared almost immediately and Buffy pulled Spike's lips to hers. "Make love to me," she whispered.

Several hours later, Buffy was on top of Spike, a powerful orgasm tiring her out. She laid her head on his chest and he wrapped his arms around her.

“Pet, you feeling okay?” Spike asked, still confused as to what changed her mood.

“Yeah. But I do need to tell you something,” she said, sitting up on top of his hips.

Spike sat up as well, but Buffy didn’t get off his lap.

Buffy took a shaky breath and began. “I asked Tara to look into the spell that brought me back. There’s a reason you can hit me and there’s a reason I feel the way I do,” she said, and Spike bowed his head. “Spike, please don’t feel bad. I just wanna know what happened to me.”

Spike tightened his arms around Buffy. “I didn’t mean it,” he whispered.

“I know,” she said, stroking his hair. “Please don’t leave me.”

“Why would you even say that?” Spike asked, pulling away gently.

“Because everyone keeps leaving me. My dad, Angel, Riley, and Giles. How come no one wants to be with me? Am I doing something wrong?” She asked.

“Um, honestly? You push people away. You think that because you’re the slayer, you have to be alone. Your friends and the nibblet are here for you. And so am I. I know certain things you wanna keep to yourself, but your friends love you. We all do. I don’t know why your dad left. Angel left cuz he’s a poof and thought it was best for you. Riley left because he was jealous of your past. You wouldn’t have been happy with him anyway. You weren’t ready to lose your mum. You’re not ready to take care of Dawn, and that’s why Giles left. You won’t be able to do these things if you have a safety net.” He reached he hand up and brushed her hair back.

“Then why do you stay?” Buffy asked leaning into his hand.

Spike smiled. “Because, I know that you can survive in this world, no matter how hard this is. Also, I think I know you best.”

They slipped into bed and Spike held Buffy as she curled up in his arms. “I love you, Spike,” she whispered.

Spike looked down at her smiling face. “I love you too, Pet.”

Buffy stayed with Spike that night for the first time.
