Author's Notes: Buffy's a huge Hole fan and she got the idea for this from their song Malibu off of their 4th album Celebrity Skin. I thought it was post worthy so here it is.
[Buffy, Willow, Xander and Oz are sitting on a rock at the Beach, it's the last night of summer. The radio is playing softly. Suddenly Buffy, who is wearing a very Courtney-Love styled gauzy dress starts to sing.]
Buffy: Punch and Bam
Vampires explode tonight
Have we gotten desperate?
I'll keep you alive
Help me please
Chase the vampires into the light
Oh come on be alive now
Lay them down to die
[Now the rest of the gang joins in. Oz is playing the lead guitar, Xander's on drums, Willow's wankin the bass, and Buffy's playing supporting guitar.]
Buffy: Hey hey you know what to do
Vampires gravitate to Sunnydale
Get well soon
I'll fight fire with fire
How are you so cold
If you're not a vampire?
Cry to Angel he will rescue me
He will set me free tonight
Baby fall over me
Hey hey I was watching you
Baby fly away from Sunnydale
Cry to Angel
Let him heal you
We'll part the seas yeah
In Sunnydale
[Buffy is now sitting on a rock, her head pointed upward at the setting sun as she sings.]
Buffy: And the sun goes down
I fight until the day
And the sun goes down
I walk into the waves
And I go
And I knew love would tear me apart
Oh and I knew that he has no heart
[At this point Buffy has dropped the guitar and is walking down towards the ocean, the waves crashing along the shore as she does.]
Buffy: Hey hey I'm gonna swallow you
Oh baby fly away to Sunnydale
Oceans for Angel
Oceans for stars
Down by the sea
Is where I cleanse my scars
Uh huh
[Now, Xander, Willow and Oz are lined up behind her, as Buffy sheds her dress, now wearing just a flesh colored tube top and girl swim shorts. The water rushes in, splashing all around her.]
Buffy: I can't be near you when the light just radiates
I can't be near you when the light just radiates
[Buffy comes out of the water, soaked now, she grasps her own shoulders, shiverring some, she falls back onto the warm sand beneath her. This is a symbolism of the baptism of new things to come, the change in time, and the shedding of the old.]
