I liked this, in particular the angsty near-canon portrayal of the characters. Unlike Revello 1620, I think that the grey area explored on the show makes this an almost probable pairing. My ficlist can attest to that. I think we see things the same way.

Author's Response: Thank you! The fact that you found the characterisation to be near-canon makes me very happy, it's what I always aim for in fic. I agree that in my view the subtext between Buffy and Faith was so strong that at times it was practically text, making this a very probable pairing for me, as my reading and writing also attest. so, yes I think we see things the same way.

I stumbled across your story while bored at work and it just blew me away. Rarely have I read such intelligent and well written fanfic. Parts of it made me uncomfortable (probably rightly so!) but I thought the characters were well rounded and as interesting as they are on the show. It would be fascinating to have this same story written from Buffy's point of view...just a suggestion!

Author's Response: Thank you for the great feedback! I can understand parts of the fic making you uncomfortable, they were uncomfortable to write too. I don't plan to ever write a version from Buffy's POV, though I've been tempted a couple of times when having to defend her actions from pissed off readers *g*

Even though this is about the most unfeasable BTVS pairing ever, I could see the point. Faith as she is in the story equates sex with power but more than that she just wants to belong somewhere and two someone and she is willing to barter her body to get that. There is power with that but it lies in the surrender. The story itself travels through the mind like the poor moth seeking the light through the darkness and it was a wonderful read!

Author's Response: Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it, it was a tough one to write. Actually, I find the B/F pairing very feasable, I tend to write them a lot. All the tensions between them are fascinating. I guess it all depends on your POV, so I'm doubly pleased I managed to make it work for you *g*
