Now THAT'S an ending. Except not one. Except it is one. Damn. I guess I'll have to read "Man with a 1000 faces" now... I loved this. I loved the fact that you dared to NOT end it with some sort of miraculous save at the last minute. Niki's a fuck-up, Whistler's too cryptic for his own good, and Logan... well, that's what happens when you depend too much on magic. Loved the scene of his car falling apart. Damn. And more Simon & Garfunkel. "And the pattern never alters until the rat dies."

Author's Response: Crud, I should have used Patterns. Oh well, that one's not so much lullabye material, but the lyrics are fitting. Thank YOU so much for reading and reviewing this series, your reviews have really kept it going at times. This was the prologue to everything else myself (and some other people) have written about Logan Kilpatrick, it will be the last, I hope.
