Now THAT'S an ending. Except not one. Except it is one. Damn. I guess I'll have to read "Man with a 1000 faces" now... I loved this. I loved the fact that you dared to NOT end it with some sort of miraculous save at the last minute. Niki's a fuck-up, Whistler's too cryptic for his own good, and Logan... well, that's what happens when you depend too much on magic. Loved the scene of his car falling apart. Damn. And more Simon & Garfunkel. "And the pattern never alters until the rat dies."
Author's Response: Crud, I should have used Patterns. Oh well, that one's not so much lullabye material, but the lyrics are fitting. Thank YOU so much for reading and reviewing this series, your reviews have really kept it going at times. This was the prologue to everything else myself (and some other people) have written about Logan Kilpatrick, it will be the last, I hope. Wow. Rachel's cooked, isn't she? And yep, Loki's an asshole. An angelic asshole, but still. As for Wilson... you know, I always figured Tom Hanks' career had to have something to do with dark magic.

Well, Logan, that's tough shit. What are you going to do about it? (One thing though - Niki would have to be very up on new bands to think of anyone as a Billy Idol wannabe back in '77, since Gen X barely had a single out then... yeah, I'm a geek. Sorry.) But nicely riffed on season 1 and canon...
Author's Response: Okay, I'm not going to lie, it's a bit creepy that you know that much about Billy Idol. Also, if I'm getting the image of the 'rebellious teenager of the late 70's' wrong, let me know, because I'm just winging it here. The goal is to keep it all in canon, and still wind up with a few surprises... |

Good work. Sorry I've been behind on this. (Twelve hour shifts) Anyway. We're starting to see Logan's dark side come out, which explains him later, in life. Though it doesn't explain his gay ass shirt (Not that there's anything wrong with that!) By the way, when I talked about Skyler last time, I mean Loki on Skyler's Arena. But maybe one day Loki could show up on Fallen, if your Ok with it. And if I can come up, with a plot, worth his time. And if I can do the character justice. (Lot of if's though)
Author's Response: Don't worry about reviewing... it's never been someting anyone has to do. Loki's shirt actually gets explained (shock!) if you really pay attention. You can totally use Loki if you want (the only condition is that you make him an ass and someone from your cast punches him in the face near the end -- it's kind of his raison d'etre). Thanks for putting in the time to read and review! Btw, I love the new round robin! |

So THAT'S who Matt is! Brilliant! (And just because I wrote that, there's probably some hints I've missed that I should have picked up on, but...) I love these flashbacks. And that little already six/only six thing was excellent. (BTW, I hope it didn't come across like I was disappointed with the last chapter - it was really good, just maybe unusually paced.)
Author's Response: Matt was originally going to end up as one of the Reckless Crew, but I don't think that's going to happen now... I have a different fate in store *evil laugh*. Thanks for the reviews! |

OK, two things kept me from commenting on act 3: 1) I try to write more than just "Wooo update", and since you write so much I try to space it out a bit, 2) So much happened in it I figured something big was going to happen in act 4. And Marcus Hamilton showing up and Niki being on the council's wanted list IS pretty big. But all in all, this chapter - all 4 acts - kicked ass in a nice, even way. The kittens were a nice touch (death to all cats!), as is Logan's development... And, of course, Niki and Logan back together, Rachel on the warpath and Addison gone for good... can't complain.
Author's Response: Sorry nothing spectacular appeared in Act 4, unless Marcus Hamilton is spectacular (opinions are divided on this). I'm reluctantly trying denoument, since I apparently have this tendency to end with cliff-hangers (and I happen to know how this season ends...). I promise, four episodes to go and no more happy endings. Thanks, as always, for the reviews! |

Great chapter as always - loved Logan's twist, and poor Eric Quinlan never knew what he was getting into, did he? Jesus Christ, the detail of this... beautiful. So now the question is what's in that letter, and whether W&H give a shit whether the words "not guilty" were pronounced or not...?

Great as always. But one thing. Why can't Nink bust hereself out? If Faith has taught us anything' it's you can't keep a slayer in jail, if she doesn't want to be there. Just wondering
Author's Response: Yeah... I thought about that. Don't forget why you love Faith: she's a total badass. Niki still respects the rules enough not to become an outlaw. Plus she has no idea there's a conspiracy against her - she thinks Logan's going to win. Thanks for the reviews. |

| Gotta wonder if Addison WANTS to fail - I mean, walking slowly towards a Slayer armed only with a syringe? Doesn't seem like the best plan, frankly. Still, a great chapter, love all the behind-the-scenes stuff from W&H, and of course the question still remains who Niki can trust - since Logan is supposed to lose...? |
