All right. I just reread the whole story and I realized that the problem is the whole Buffy/Scoobies association. I would have thought it would be different, but it's a minor thing as far as things go and it'll sort itself out at some point anyway. This is extremely well-written. You've done a really gorgeous job with the characters, especially Willow. I still absolutely love the way you've rearranged the season sort-of, and added a few new elements, too. I'm eagerly awaiting the next chapter, especially since I have no idea where I'd take it in this situation.
Author's Response: Thanks a lot! Glad to hear it. There will be more Buffy/Scoobies interaction because of the whole convalescence thing... Basically, the way any bad guys attack Buffy throughout the series is by trying to separate her from her friends. So that's what Snyder has been doing. I doubt he'll be able to continue doing it, though. But we'll see. I wish I wasn't so lazy... :-) |

Spectacular, spectacular (the words of the vernacular...sorry, Moulin Rouge moment). Anyway, I loved the chapter. The short Willow/Xander conversation about her being superwitch, Buffy trying to speak through the respirator tube (and you actually sounded like you knew what you were talking about with the medical stuff!), and Spike and Dru's inner monologues.
Author's Response: Yay! Success! I know NOTHING about medicine apart from what I've seen on TV, and I don't even watch E.R. Basically it's all pieced together from old M*A*S*H episodes. Thanks! |

Man Buffy's come back more times that Kenny, from South Park. Good work. Now if she can keep from being betrade by Snyder.

This is one of my favorite chapters of all. Talk about roller coaster. First I'm going "yay, Xander saved Willow," then "oh no, Oz," then "OMG GILES AND JENNY", then trying to work out who would possess who and figuring for Jenny and James to get Buffy, then going "holy crap, Buffy's about to get shot". So she's got to survive...cuz Angelus will. And then Giles and Jenny can find peace and everything will be happy...hey, I can dream.

You should win a prize. I love the way you completely rearranged the events; everything's happening quite sequentially. I'm getting a much better grip on the story; I intend to read it all the way through again at some point to see if I can pinpoint whatever problem there may have been. Avidly anticipating the next chapter... excellent work, I must say.

Hmm... that's not the way it happened on the show... Its too bad this whole student/teacher thing didn't happen now instead of the '50's because now its pretty much old hat. Unlike slayerfest and others I haven't had a problem following this plot - mostly I guess because I read it in one go. I suppose everything will be revealed in good time (or bad time or whenever chapters eventually get put upt) but for now I'll have to content myself with trying to figure out who is behind all this.

I gotta say, even though it kinda flies in the face of the whole sad, depressed mood of this chapter, that I really liked Harmony's appearance.

Snyder is such an ass. I do like that he shows compassion, at least a little, towards his students. Great work I cant wait until you update again.

Yes, Synder chracter deveopment, that's better than finding out, if WILLOW DIES! Other than that, it was good. I'm surprised Snyder seems to care, a little.
Author's Response: Do you realize how much paperwork he has to fill out everytime a student dies? But yeah, just because he hates kids might not mean he wants them to die... We'll see. |

Ahahahahaha. I like the "one hour earlier" and then "one hour later". It sounds redundant but makes perfect sense. This chapter has a much better impression to it. Somehow you're piecing it together differently... I like that we see the first part of the sequence followed by an interlude followed, assumably, by the second part of the sequence. I don't know what's changed, but it seems much better.
Author's Response: I guess part of the problem is I'm simply so slow in writing this down. I've got the story planned out in my head, but when I just post it piece by piece you don't get where everything is going... but there is a point to everything I've written so far, and there will be a few big payoffs in the hopefully near future... | Excellent chapter. I loved all the different perspectives presented in it. And what an ending! Buffy had better show up and save Willow! Or Sirk. Or Jeremiah. Or Snyder (hehe). |
