Author's Response: Thanks. My aim with this chapter was for Faith to have what Buffy never had, a realisation about how much more fortunate she was than other past Slayers.

I'm such a lurker and never review or rate anything, but I've enjoyed this series so much I just had to say something. Hell, I signed up as a member just to be ABLE to review your story. I love the issues you have going on with Faith, and her relationships with Xander and Giles. If you don't keep writing this series, I WILL hunt you down and glare at you ;-) Thanks so much for your work.

Author's Response: Thank you, I'm flattered. Yes, I feel that Faith always deserved what Buffy got but never appreciated - loyal friends, a caring, surrogate father, and a safe home. As for finishing the series, I have it planned for seven seasons (the last two hugely different than the Buffy seasons), and something over 100 eps.

great chapter, i'm wondering if jenny will be different towards Giles now, she did seem kinda pissed, understandably of course. And man i love Giles, the way you write him, he's the biggest sweetie! And so Spikes in the mix now huh? should be interesting to say the least. Good stuff all up.

Author's Response: Giles was great in the early yars, but Whedon and his crew lost their way with him and many other chars as the series went on. I'll try to do better.

OMG that was soooo much better then the actually show. the entire season has been great, but this last chapter, damn! it had me laughing and crying, i couldn't pry my eyes away. i cannot wait until you start the next season. seriously seriously great writing!

Oh yes, the Mayor's in town. And a real nice touch to lift the story from "Thin Dead Line" rather than go through s1 exactly as on the show - some of those plots were pretty lame. Love the character development too, especially the relationship between Faith and Giles.

Author's Response: I like to mix and match the stories, some chars are used more (Cordy, the Mayor, Jonathan, Jesse), some less (Willow, Riley), and some not at all (we havne't got there yet). Also, plot lines are going to change radically, otherwise there wouldn't be a point to this.

Enjoyin this. Is a good series with the character's voices down pretty well, though Giles seems a little bit off - kinda more like later seasons Giles (S5 or S6). Willow is okay, but Xander and Faith are probably best voices. Could you give us some hints as to what's going to happen? Is Dawn going to be in this? And Riley? LOVED the former, didn't really like the latter.

Author's Response: Somebody else is going to be the key. Strange you like my Willow and not my Giles, people are usually the other way on me. I will say the series diverges strongly from canon post S3.

Interesting twist. I really like it, you write incredibly well, good balance between thoughts, dialogue and descriptions, good character depth... are you going to do this for the entire series?

Author's Response: Well the first three years stick pretty close to canon. However from S4 on, I move chars in from Angel and it changes radically.

Good job. I always like Faith More than Buffy anyway. (I think Buffy should have been the evils slayer. HEY who threw that rock at me!) And you did a good job getting inside her head. Keep it up.

Author's Response: So did I, Faith was much more likable than miss whiny-knickers. There's plenty more to come, this story will run to over 100 eps by the time it's finished.
