Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. Except, you know, sad. Which is good, in its way. I loved it.

Author's Response: I'm very pleased you liked it so much! As I mentioned in another reponse, I thought Xander never got the opportunity to express his grief after losing Anya (the bit at the end of Chosen was inappropiate, I thought, as if she meant almost nothing to him). Thank you for reading.

WOW. That deserved a capslock. That was amazing. I actually started crying at the end. Your narrating skills are fantastic. This is perfect and I can't emphasize anything that would make it better. Favourites for you, mister.

Author's Response: Thank you very much! I do know what would make it better! If the writer's hadn't kept dumping on Xander! He made more than his fair share of mistakes, unintentionally hurting the ones he loved, and paid for it by losing many of them (hence the callout to Cordy). Yet, unlike the other characters who had lost those close to them, he never had a chance to grieve on-screen. This was his chance.

Fantastic. you can realy feel the pain Xander's in. on the show you could tell that he carried a lot of pain but it was always under the surface and covered by his humor. i think you captured him perfectly in this Chapter. Briliant job

Author's Response: I'd orginally come to this idea in a roundabout way from the question 'Why Africa?' Noting that the show's end was not too long before 7/4, and that there had been some sort of reconciliation between him and Anya before she died, that date would have to be the first big reminder of his loss. And in Africa it would be just a day like any other. Thank you for reading and I'm glad you liked it!
