Another great chapter, really well-written as always - love Buffy's thoughts just as she's woken up, the alternative version of the awakening, and bringing Jim back in again was a nice touch... I just wonder who he's working for. Hope you find time for the next chapter sooner or later, and good luck!

Great chapter. Firstle, I loved the Angel voice first person narrative, as it reminded me of ATS City Of's intro. But the dream sequence was inspired. The Cheese man is one of my favourite characters (though he has about 30 secs screen time)...and I still believe he was the First playing mind games.The Buffy/Faith interaction was enigmatic, and it will be interesting to see how this fic turns out. Update soon!
Author's Response: Who doesn't love the Cheese Man? What's not to love? Although it never occurred to me that he could be the First....Anyway, I'll probably have the next chapter up in about 10 minutes (I'm polishing off the last scene right now) so you'll get your wish! |

Great chapter! So many things happened. i liked the way that Buffy's coma was the motivation behind their attack, and that Angel comforted Faith and spoke to the Mayor. The Devon part was funny, but i was a little sad he died.That's it! I'm adding this to favourites :)

Marvelous. The dream sequence was very well-written; I love how you sneak in occasional lines from the show - in a lot of fanfics, that just seems to show that the writer is out of ideas of their own, but you put your own spin on them, putting them in new contexts. And the interaction, if you can call it that, between Faith and Buffy is great... and I loved the cameos from Dawn and, of course, the cheese guy! (Who, if you're to believe this analysis - http://www.stonesoup.co.nz/ecoqueer/archives/003318.html - would fit better than anyone in a fic where the lines between Buffy and Faith get blurred until they're both the Slayer)... Anyway, to make a long review somewhat longer: Excellent, and write more!
Author's Response: I'm glad to hear that my line-borrowing (I like to call it that) was appreciated, especially since it meant searching transcripts of Angel episodes that I wasn't very familiar with for fitting quotes. And of course I just had to toss in Dawn and the Cheese Guy. I love that analysis, and I was actually thinking of it when I wrote his little cameo :) |

Fantastic job. I loved the dream sequence. I think Buffy and Faith are trying to help each other. They are linked by slayer powers and should help each other I think. Anyway great chapter.

You did the dream sequence extremely well, but you did Angel's scene better. I was very impressed with that. Back to the dream part... you integrated the cheese guy, which I always always respect in any fiction ever. The content between Buffy and Faith near the end threw me off; I'm not entirely sure I understood what just went on, but I'm not entirely sure it matters. It's a dream. It feels like a dream. You've done well.
Author's Response: Thanks! I know the last bit in the dream got kinda crazy. There is a point buried in there somewhere....Anyway, I just love the Cheese Guy, and I don't believe that he's meaningless (Joss was just trying to fool us with that "he doesn't mean anything" talk). Wow, I'm very happy to hear that you liked Angel's scene so much, especially since it's so short! |

Wow. MissEdith. you did really awesome on the dream sequence for this chappie. i really really enjoyed how it comes from Angel's perspective. its totally awesome reading things that linger in his own mind. i can't wait for the next chappie. you must hurry up and update asap!!!

Omg...that was wicked! I loved the dream sequence...a little hard to understand but thats expected. I'm thinking Buffy's pov was in the last dream sequence but I'm not sure. I can't wait for an update! Brilliant!!!

Lovely update!!! Naturally, the dream sequence is a bit hard to follow, but hey, dreams are meant to be that way. If they made sense, they wouldn't be dreams. I like that you chose to write this in first person - it somehow made it far more intense and it just seemed appropriate. You did an excellent dealing with Angel's emotions. As always, fabulous story, and I hope you'll update again soon!!
Author's Response: Thanks so much! My dreams never make any sense, so I try to write dreams that way. I think the rest of the story is going to be mostly third person, for clarity if nothing else, but dreams are about lack of clarity, (plus the whole Buffy/Faith identity issues) so first person just seems right. I'll try to get another chapter out this month, but I can't guarantee it since I pretty much just realized that I now have about 2 weeks to do all my christmas shopping..... |

The Giles/Angel scene was touching - I'm also wondering whether Angel will leave after all now. I think you need the Graduation Day 'filler' as it makes the AU seem more plausible. Faith's near guiltiness over buffy was also well done

As always, fabulous update!! I really enjoyed seeing how this all played out with Buffy out of the picture. You did a fantastic job with the battle scene, and I love the doubt Faith is having about what she did - should be interesting to see how that plays out ... and if Angel will try to help her deal. Definitely hoping for an update soon :)

Another excellent chapter. Its definitely going to be interesting to see how faith makes use of her newfound lack of coma. Also, I wonder how Angel is going to react now that Buffy isn't going to wake up?
