I loved this story. The end turned out to be realistic and the chapter itself was terrific. I can't wait to read the alternate ending, I love things like that. I am sooo happy I found this story!

I hadn't got around to reading this, but when I started I read it all the way through without break... it's a really excellent what-if. Taking entire dialogues from other episodes and putting them into a new context is tricky, but you made it work, since you've really got all the characters down... a great read! (But you know, it's not too late to kill Warren. He can be shot trying to escape, or something. :-) )

Author's Response: Thanks so much for the review! Killing Warren is tempting (misogynistic creep. grrr, arrg) but I think I'll let him live for now. Or not. Maybe he died while the narrative was paying no attention to him. So...I'll leave it to the readers' imagination :)
